The CDC recognizes that HIV being undetectable makes the risk of transfer negligible, but they still advocate that positive people (and all people, really) practice safe sex. Furries, of course, being furries, think that the undetectable designation makes them invincible and forget things like other STIs exist or that their virus may not play well with exposure other HIV viruses.

Heres some personal favorites from the HIV tests
http://archive.is/1d0tm - token virgin. Edit: his whole profile is him begging for sex at mff
http://archive.is/tGAQr - I have HIV!
http://archive.fo/a3arA - I have HIV AND I'm a slut!
http://archive.fo/7sc4q I'm HIV negative but I'm not going to show my STD results to anyone, here's my rubber suit

"Yes! I’m hiv poz undetectable which means it’s virtually impossible to transmit. All my partners know my status as well :)"

"aaah. so you dont need protection?"

JUST.

Most of the time if I go to large conventions for my hobbies, they mail me my badge ahead of time so i don't have to wait and i can just come in without ever being in line. I would think that any convention with more than a few thousand people would do this.
Furries are pretty shit when it comes to planning out conventions. Even at Anime cons where you pick up the badges there they hand out generic badges and with furries they end up printing a ton of badges up ahead of time which is a logistics nightmare when you've got thousands of people piling up. FWA did away with personalized badges but they made up for that with the godawful RFID wrist bracelets (in a desperate attempt to cut down on "ghosting") and that con also had a notoriously long line that lasted into the second day.

Gonna disagree here, there's been a lot of Twitter outrage at least about InkedFur vending. And it's not like the con staff isn't damn aware of his criminal record.
Growly, the poster child for "sex offenders who the fandom lets in" is at MFF this year. Numerous furry cons couldn't give less of a shit about bothering to even google people's names to see if they're sex offenders.

Don't tell him it only reduces the chance by around 92% and you can indeed still get HIV from them.
A friend of mine has a Ph.D in virology and tells me that if the viral load is undetectable it is not transmittable. If it were transmittable, it'd also be detectable.

(If you have an actual source for that 92% figure, let me know and I'll pass it on to him.)

IIRC, the transmission risk is negligible, but still present (which is why the CDC still advocates safe sex). But HIV is one of those diseases with different viral strains, and exposure to a different strain than your own increases your risk of a mutation if you have HIV. And some of those strains are drug resistant in varying degrees, which is why despite the fact that medication can make the viral load undetectable, people can still die of AIDS in the first world in 2018.

Pretty much this. There's been extensive research into it the past few years, found out there's a whole AIDS conference so I just learned something today. But there's no 100% concrete evidence to say that you can won't get it from a undetectable pos and that you should always practise safe sex. They're not cured they're still HIV, positive, they're kind of like in remission. My 92% is probably outdated with how fast research is going with this, since I remember it during my college years so I can't honestly say I keep tabs on AIDS.

It's the question of whether that risk is one worth taking to begin with.

People act like HIV is no big deal just because it's no longer a guaranteed death sentence, but it's more like leprosy than smallpox, i.e. it's still out there, it's still bad for you, and the treatments are also bad for you. Your lifespan with HIV is still substantially less because the drugs that keep it under control are all to varying degrees toxic.

So you can usually hold off full blown AIDS and maybe this is okay while you're still young and can suck up various toxic drugs. But eventually cocktails of drugs stop working, have to be tinkered with, cause liver damage, limit your ability to engage in other fun activities like drinking or other recreational chemicals, and limit your options in life.

So wait, is this a new thing in the murrsuiting community where they spread rumors of who has STDs and who doesn’t do they can get petty revenge or stir shit up? Because if this is gonna be its own thing with a ton of drama, I think we need a thread on murrsuiters.

It may have been is response to the HIV chart.

Found posted on the fursuit thread, a murrsuit video archive dominated by Felix Fox, jeez! that guy's asking to get HIV.
