How pissed do you think comic influencers get at their video game and movie counterparts? Games and movies can get flown around to lavish events and parties, opportunities to network with peers and people more distinguished in the industry, possible free lodging at events, free products (~$30 blu-rays to $60 games), extra free material (like the bag Bethesda recently jewed actual customers on or collectors stuff worth $$$$) and probably more that i haven't thought of.
Comics get: a free ($4) issue, a $5 beanie and a granola bar.

She released some DMs with EVS, don't really care enough to go through the other +30min long videos. She starts reading through her DMs to Ethan and honestly it makes her look desperate to get on EVS's show. Multiple long DMs from her to EVS, with him rarely messaging her back.

So Ya Boi covered Joe Glass's current crowdfunding campaign for a new book called Acceptable Losses. tl;dw: He thinks it looks promising and pledges for one of the lower tiers.
But if there's one thing these people hate more than criticism and exclusion from their perceived enemies, it's praise and acceptance from them. Glass tweetstorms complaining about how senpai has noticed him and complaining about the oppression and hatred before even watching Meyer's video. But then he livetweets while watching it and still can't take the damn compliments. Meyer says he retracts what he said in the previous video (though it's obviously still published) and will cancel his bid, though despite the thumbnail he doesn't do so on video.

I remember when she first arrived on the scene she seemed sweet. I think she's still probably a good person, which is why the piling on from EVS and some of the others is a little unseemly. Her biggest flaw was not getting some bona fides under her belt before clamoring for a seat at the adult table.

She seemed a talented enough artist to jump the line a bit. But you gotta have some pages in the can before anyone is really going to get excited about your comic. All she seemed to have were pinups and promises. Great, but until you have some sequentials proving your project is moving along, you're yesterday's news. Don't think that sat well with her ego. Which is not a knock, confidence is an asset, unless you're blinded by it.
I think she has people giving her bad advice, and boy did she burn the bridge to comicsgate. Frankly, I found her project interesting and I may have backed it. But it wasn't that much to where I still give a fuck and want to support her after this public tantrum. She and her husband outed themselves as intolerant and unlikable, so i'll keep my money. Sadly the only social media supporters she will likely retain are thirsty creepers. Good luck Mindy!
