DSP lies it : "Being King of Hypocrisy"

Let's forget about Nich's sudden awakening, and focus on the key part............

Well this guy has a point......

I love how Pineapplehead is going through all the signature fan-to-detractor-transformation fases:

1. Blindy follow or defend DSP and believe his every word;
2. Slowly start to doubt some of his actions;
3. Give him genuine feedback to get him to improve himself/his business because he did something stupid;
4. Realization DSP doesn't allow himself to be helped and burns bridges wherever he can;
5. DSP treats you like complete shit when you only tried to help him > full-on detractor mode.

I mean... we've seen this all before, haven't we? John Rambo, KingJezal, multiple of his followers/TKOH users (WOOF as latest example) and, most noticeably, @BSV.

A bit of powerleveling:
Maybe I should walk across the hall and hand in my Twitch complaints about Phil in person. His "raising founds" streams and the bad mouthing of other streamers goes against twitch tos. I also noticed that he was giving bits money values when he explained the reasoning for upping the shoutouts minimum.

Eh, he does this every few months. Tell me when he actually fucking leaves.

It gets confusing trying to gauge things like this when the normal psycho-social principles don't apply in the vortex of the DSPhere. One number on the list doesn't have to follow or precede another. Like when Phil chewed out Majinboo recently. Majinboo apologized to Phil afterward. "DSP treats you like complete shit" doesn't necessarily lead to "full-on detractor mode".

John and Howard were a rare case. They weren't just fans to "blindly follow" Phil, but actual friends. His abuse was "horizontal", from one friend to another. @BSV was also a rare case. Instead of 1., he started as a "Detractor". The "realization" of 4. didn't come from trying to help Phil. It was after his crusading for Phil, and the subsequent banning from Twitch, that lead to "full-on detractor mode". KingJezal was rather selfless and skipped 5., instead leaving because of how Phil was treating the fans on TKHOF that were going to be doxed.

"Full-on detractor mode" isn't always the end of the cycle. For example, Ginosaji had a huge meltdown when Phil maligned the Scarface video game, but has since returned, apparently.

Nich would be stuck on 5., so the "realization" of 4. prolly hasn't preceded it (there'd be a dotted line connecting 4., I guess). It would make sense for the abuse Nich gets for his help to lead to "full-on detractor mode". But if Nich made sense, he wouldn't be a fan of Phil in the first place.

I was thinking more of Fell On Black Days but okay.

@Commander Keen is from Texas. Music from is Seattle is bad because it's not from Texas/the surrounding area (also "Fell on Black Days" sucks :P).

You sold out many a time. You tried to shill gaming chairs. You had sponsored streams. You had a deal with Loot Crate. I’m probably forgetting some examples.

Underrated DarksydeShill vid:

It's pretty incredible just how similar to those 'As Seen on TV' advertisements this entire video is.

Was Phil Burnell a door-to-door salesman in a previous life?

"My PC is laggy"
It's honestly a good thing that he messed up turning auto updates off since not having your computer update as often as it can is a nice way to leave your PC wide open for a malware attack. It's as if his PC wasn't bad enough already so he's trying to actively trash it as quickly as he can through sheer laziness, because god forbid you have to wait an additional 15-30 mins before you can use your computer.

Just feel like pointing out a little something about DSP and friendship. It might be obvious but for those who maybe weren't around years ago (what have I been doing with my life?) Phil always maintained that he was never close friends with Howard. Nor was he good friends with OJ (Other John) Damdai or seemingly anyone else who ever showed up in any of his videos. There's an old co-op playthrough out there in the wild of him with some random girl there in the condo for one single session. For the life of me I can't recall her name or the game in question though. Only thing you can say is it's telling she never showed up ever again. I just remember him awkwardly introducing her as his friend.. and as with all "friends" the only thing he could think to do with them was make money off their participation in his shitty videos.

Anyways the real social needle who seemed to be able to thread DSP closer to other people whether he wanted it or not (fair guess to say he didn't) was Rambo. He really was the best thing for him by being a far more easygoing and amiable kinda guy. He hooked a couple of women on his own sure but look at the fine video history of how he acts around those two and you can see that DSP is quite awful at passing for anything but a fucking alien. He desperately needs an intermediary and these days that link in his own mind is money. When you pay him you're allowing him to get along with others in brief spurts.. try to tell him he can't even do that right though and you know what happens.

"Insults are not tolerated lol"

@Commander Keen is from Texas. Music from is Seattle is bad because it's not from Texas/the surrounding area (also "Fell on Black Days" sucks :P).

So what I'm hearing is that I can control @Commander Keen by screaming "The stars at night are big and bright", whereupon he is legally bound by his Texan heritage to clap and respond "DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS".

Interesting.

12/07/18 First Prestream - Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Day 1 Views Stream: #Justice4StardewValley

Some notable moments:

"As a direct response to what you guys said, during my Indies Marathon yesterday: I AM BRINGING MINECRAFT TO THE STREAMS! As a regular thing, maybe once a week, as a Late Night Chill Stream. When I played Minecraft yesterday, it was by far the thing that was most openly accepted and enjoyed. People were really loving the interactivity that I had with you guys. Helping me out and guiding me, to figure out the world of Minecraft and everything. I played it on X-Box One, it ran absolutely flawlessly on X-Box One, had no issues playing or streaming it. *PIG SNORT* So, because you guys really enjoyed it yesterday, directly as a result of your feedback, it'll be a Late Night Stream every once in a while. Okay? Maybe once a week, moving forward."

"Also, this week, starting up at one point, don't know when yet. Is the premiere of one of the games that is near and dear to my heart. It's actually one of my favorite games of all time! One of the games that I've probably played more than most other games on the planet! Ladies and Gentlemen, starting this week, a game that is on my Gaming Bucket List! I've always said, that this is a game that before I stop being a Content Creator for whatever reason, this is one of the games that I want to be in the running as something that I do online. *Gross throat clearing, like he has golf-ball-sized piece of phlegm stuck in his throat* The game, Ladies and Gentlemen, is Final Fantasy IV! I feel this is the right time to play it, because we've got about a month between now and when Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out. Which gives me a lot of time to do an RPG-style game like this and balance it with other stuff. Which is good! I purchased it on PC. So, yes, as a rarity, I'll actually be playing a PC game on the regular! I know that's a rarity here. *Throat clear* Final Fantasy IV is going to be more than just a playthrough! It's going to be an opportunity for me to share with all of you, a game from my childhood. Now, I haven't done a playthrough like this in a long time. The last time I did one, was the Summer of 2013, when I did The Summer of Retro. Which included games such as: Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past, and Super Mario World. Some people absolutely loved that content and told me it was some of the best I ever did! Most of my Mainstream Viewers hated it, and turned it off and said, 'We're never watching it because it's old crappy games.' And that really disappointed me! I still remember to this day, raging on Twitter about it, saying 'Man! These are amazing games from my childhood, that really laid the groundwork for future games! And people really treated them like dirt when I was playing them, it really pisses me off!' Okay? *Disgusting throat clear* That being said, The Truth Of The Matter Is, that now I don't just do ONE GAME. Back then, I was just playing one Major Game to get through it. I don't do that anymore! Now, I balance my content! So, much like with Dragon Quest XI, if I play Final Fantasy IV one or two major streams, and then I turn it into a Night Time Chill Stream and balance it with other stuff I'm doing, I think it's going to work out and be successful. All right? Plus, like I told you guys, this is a game I've played a million times when I was a kid! So, I'm very excited to share the plotline of this game with you guys. Show you secrets that I know about the combat! It's going to be a lot of fun, I'm very excited for Final Fantasy IV! I really am."

"Yesterday was a big day! My Indies Marathon happened. I do want to say, thank you for everyone who was here and was very supportive. Uhm, I actually got more people on the stream than I expected, I did not expect to have that much. Because, I thought, every time I do an indies game, it's hit or miss. It could be either, really popular or a dead thing. For the most part, people came out and were very supportive. So, I want to say, thanks to anyone who was here during the stream and hung out with me. Thanks to anyone who contributed. All that is much appreciated! Did I make much headway, in regards to my Financial Issues and Taxes? No, I didn't! But, I was still appreciative that, those who contributed, at least gave me a headstart on the month. Uhm, and that's nice! That's definitely helpful! Okay? There will be three more Major Events coming out around Christmas! There's going to be my Christmas Holiday Annual Fantasy Sims in Wrestling Games! There's going to be my Holiday Gaming Marathon! And there's going to be my Christmas Eve Podcast! So, there's going to be a lot more special holiday themed stuff coming up the rest of this month! I'll let you know more about that as we get closer to it. Fair Enough? *SNIFFLE* Okay? *SNIFF*"

"Now, of course, also yesterday was The Game Awards. Everyone's been nonstop asking me stuff about The Game Awards. I'm not going to go into massive detail about it, but I will tell you about some of the things that excited me. Number one: Marvel Ultimate Alliance is coming back, after like an 8 year hiatus. That's insane! Like the game hasn't been, it hasn't been- Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, I'm almost positive was 2011 or 2010? And the series is coming back as a Switch exclusive! Okay? Uhm, and it's pretty good! I'm pretty excited, to be playing that! Because, I definitely want to play it! I want to do co-op with you guys! I understand it's a Switch exclusive, but guess what? I just paid for the Switch Online to play Smash Brothers! So, next year, I'll be able to play this cooperatively with those of you who have Switches! All right? I'm very excited, I really do like this series! Uhm, so that's a big announcement, actually, for me! Mortal Kombat XI, you know, we had an announcement, but it's not - it's kind of a non-announcement for me. We knew Mortal Kombat was due to come out next year, and really the trailer revealed absolutely nothing! *PIG SNORT* It's basically going to be Mortal Kombat. I mean, I'm still excited for it, I like Mortal Kombat! But for me, I wasn't like super hyped for it or whatever."

"Some people have asked me, 'What do you think about God of War winning Game of the Year?' I mean, great! Like I've told you guys all year: God of War, Red Dead Redemption II, Spider-man, uh, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and Detroit: Become Human, along with Dragon Quest XI; are probably the games, IN MY MIND, are standing up there as the biggest games of the year. That deserve Game of the Year. So, you know, I'm happy that God of War won! It's one of the games, that I agree with, that's one of the best games of the year, so I'm happy about that. Uhm, I think there's an insane amount of awards that went out for frivolous things, that I didn't really care about. *Smug Laugh* And I didn't watch the show, by the way! I basically just read the results and saw some of the trailers for the new game announcements and things afterward. I was streaming when the show was happening and I was busy and didn't really care about the show. So, there you go! *SNIIIIIIIFFFFF* Not much else to say about it."

"Hold on one second, because I hear a truck outside! I just want to see what it is. It's probably a delivery truck, sounds like. *off mic* It might be gone by now, actually. Oh, Triple A! Huh! Okay. *back on mic* It was a Triple A truck, I guess someone needed Triple A for something, but there's like no one here! I guess he's looking for who called and he can't find anybody. *Seal Laugh*"

"I just went through a bunch of ways you can be supportive. You might say, 'That's a lot! What's the best way to definitively help Phil right now?' The honest answer is: tipping me! By tipping me, you're basically helping me right now, in a situation where all my bill clear in the first two weeks of the month. Yeah, I don't get paid until around the 15th by Twitch. So, anything that you contribute via tips, is funds I can use RIGHT NOW for stuff! Okay? *leg slap* So, please consider tipping me!"

[2018-12-07 18:47:19 UTC] mrshahath: cheer50 I don't think Far Cry New Dawn looks great either, but you said sales were bad for FC5 and that's just wrong. Made $310 million in its first week and broke franchise records. just saying.
"That's great, I don't care. The point I was making, in reference to all of what they're talking about - basically, this is a situation where, maybe I wasn't informed and I said something. So, of course, someone has to try to call me out and say, 'Ha! Phil, you're not omnipotent! You didn't know this one factoid of information! So, here we are, we're going to call you out to try to embarrass you!' It doesn't work, because no one gives a shit!"
Long digression where he describes what he thinks Far Cry New Dawn will be, "Think: Fall Out" He thinks it's just a cash in and won't sell. I didn't transcribe it, because even I have my limits.
Here's the next important bit: "That was the point I was making in the stream chat, but of course, people will now say: *mocking voice* 'You said Far Cry 5 didn't sell that well! BIH-BIH-BIH-BIH-BIH-BIH-BIH!!' Well, who cares?! Because that wasn't the point I was making. You go ahead and you nit-pick to the end of hell, and no one gives a shit! So, congrats!"

[2018-12-07 18:49:17 UTC] alexander_rossi: cheer50 did you watch the game awards last night? what are your thoughts on ninja winning best content creator of the year?
"I don't have any thoughts. I really don't have any thoughts. As you guys know, I don't really follow along with anything. Uhm, I don't know much about Ninja, besides he plays Fortnite. That's about it. I don't know much about what content he actually creates. I can't, I cannot come out- I can criticize the guy for many things! One of the things I cannot criticize him for is saying that, the actual quality of his streams is bad. Because, I don't know. I've never watched one of them. Okay? So, I don't know what to tell you. A lot of people apparently had issue, I guess every single person who was nominated for Content Creator of the Year was a Fortnite player. *Smug Laugh* So, you go ahead, you tell me what you think about that! I guess that's up to you guys. Me, personally, I didn't give a shit about the Game Awards anyway. I told you guys! It's a media event, paid for by game companies and the media. The media nominated and voted on the shit. And to me, a lot of the stuff didn't make a whole lot of sense. So, I don't care about the Game Awards. If anything, it was nice to get a lot of announcement of games. The actual award show: waste of everyone's time. There is no Official Game of the Year! These awards are completely frivolous and mean nothing!"

[2018-12-07 18:51:35 UTC] android___x: cheer50 is that true? ninja won creator of the year? LMAO more like muppet shill of the year! or nursey school teacher of the year! lmao
"Well, there you go. Thank you for the cheer, Android."

[2018-12-07 19:19:35 UTC] android___x: they should honor phil with a legacy award like they do for oscars to give someone who has been involved for years
"We all know that's never gonna happen! Number one: my heyday was a long time ago on YouTube. Number two: I'm one of the most outspoken content creator there's ever been! I don't kiss anyone's ass. I very strongly criticize things that I see, that are I think are negative or bullshit. Uhm, as you guys know, the mainstream media doesn't like me that much! Because I am an outspoken guy! You know, if I was one of these guys that literally kept my mouth shut and just accepted every offer that ever came my way, and, you know, basically just kissed everyone's ass! Received free copies of every fucking game! And, played the game, basically. I would probably be way more popular and make way more money than I do. The thing is, I refuse to do it! I absolutely refuse to do it! And, I always have! I'm an independent guy, I want to be able to say what I want to say. If I want to criticize certain Content Creators, criticize certain game companies, I want to be able to do it and not worry about, 'Oh, no! Now I lose a sponsorship opportunity!' 'Oh, no! Now I lose this and that!' It's bullshit! The whole game is bullshit! I hate people like that! Who, everything they say do is calculated, so they can make more money. I refuse to do that! So, that's why they don't like me! You know? Because, I'm an outspoken guy and I say what's on my mind. I think a lot of people like me for that, but a hell of a lot more people probably dislike me for that. And, you know what? That's life, I guess."

Two observations I had:
1. I give it two "chill" Minecraft streams before he either borequits or wagequits.
2. I love Final Fantasy IV and it has a place near and dear to my heart, so I'm loathe to see this pig smear his greasy hooves all over a game that I love as if it were my child. To give Phil some small bit of credit, he genuinely appears to enjoy playing turn-based JRPGs. The gameplay isn't fast-paced and doesn't depend on fast reactions and hand-eye coordination like most games that he struggles with, and he sounds sincere in his appreciation for Final Fantasy IV. However, that was the SNES version of Final Fantasy IV. The 3D remake that he's planning on playing has changed some things in the gameplay and added voice acting and animated cut-scenes. I can already see him going full-on clown mode during the cut scenes and being frustrated when his "secret techniques" no longer work in the updated version of the game.
