"Insults are not tolerated lol"

Speaking of banning people and calling them idiots:

KingKozatof, who was allowed back for some reason, got into talking about a "Detractor meme": the WingsOfRedemption parody song creator "Liquid Richard" (I think onlyhere4thejoel initiates the discussion, but since Koz was banned, he doesn't appear in the VOD):

Phil seizes on the opportunity, stretching what might be considered a "Detractor meme" to ban Koz:

Even though this appears immediately below Phil's "you idiot" and is still visible in the VOD:

So what I'm hearing is that I can control @Commander Keen by screaming "The stars at night are big and bright", whereupon he is legally bound by his Texan heritage to clap and respond "DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS".

He seems to respond positively to Oi Punk. Everyone: keep some Angelic Upstarts close by in case things get out of hand :P

I'm just wondering why it's like that.
Because when you consume a large amount of alcohol the blood vessels in your nose burst and your nose permanently swells. To answer your other question, it has indeed gotten worse over time:

A large (8k viewers, 600k followers) streamer gets matched up with DSP in Smash and sets out to repeatedly try suiciding while holding DSP:

Regarding Dark's nose: Has it always been so bulbous? That "burning eyes" pic where he looks straight into the camera is our best look at it, and I'm just wondering why it's like that.

Compare that nose to Karl Malden, a legendary actor with a famously bulbous nose that came to be from it being broken numerous times when he played basketball in his youth:

Now, we know Dark hasn't engaged in any sort of physical activity since at least high school (I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he took P.E. in his senior year - 18 years ago), and he's never talked about it being broken (unless I'm mistaken), so I have to ask what the fuck happened?

Maybe he has a drinker's nose. Keeps complaining about eye issues, and has said that he can't touch his face, otherwise it gets blotchy and red.

In retrospective, making the sum he wants to keep for his amazing livestyle (16k+) a secret wasn't a very smart idea. To be precise, it was obviously a bad idea if you ever watched another streamer who has a visible set goal. People who see a goal, try to reach the goal. If they see it's a very big number, they pledge more to their favorite streamer so the goal can hopefully be met. Dave put up a goal of nothingness, probably in hope that "nothing" means "infinite". While in reality it means: We don't know how much you need, maybe just 100, 200 or 500 dollar, so let us not jump the shark with our own money.

The issue also with his $16K Fundraising Goal, is that it's $16k IN ADDITION to what he regularly makes in this next couple of months. And he's always been cagey with what his income is, because if his paypigs knew that he was making $60k-$100k a year while he was crying financial distress, even his most ardent cultists would stop throwing so many quarters at him.
The issue with keeping a visible running tally for the $16k, is that it gives an endgoal for something that will never end. It's the illusion of finality, that if Phil makes $16k in tips in the next 4 months, everything will be okay and he will no longer have to beg.
Phil's entire "Business" is dependent on neverending appeals for donations. He's like a begging shark, the moment the shark stops swimming and begging, the shark begins to die.
Let's say he's successful in the next couple of Opportunity to Contribute streams that he has, and he makes a ridiculous amount of money, like $18k. The paypigs will celebrate and think he's in the clear. Phil will post another picture of himself and Kat, drinking Sprite and gin, thanking his paypigs for successful fundraising streams.
Then, Phil will come back on January 1st, wag his finger at the webcam and say, "Tipping me is the best way to help me out, because my bills are coming due and I'm afraid my bank account is going to get overdrawn. This sucks! There's nothing I can do! If you could tip me, that money goes straight to my bills."

I like how he's so lazy he can't be bothered to even watch the Game Awards, either himself or in stream form. It would be easy views and he wouldn't even have to suck at a game for a change. But that would take away from his time with Mrs. Gin Bottle

Also, is 3 years the average lifespan for a A-Rank DSP fan? Outside of Kgayleon, most of his top paypigs/supporters seem to dry up after a while.

Yeah if he put up the actual total he needs to make they'd just leave, cause it's what? $40-60k he needs to make in the next few months?

Hard to get a good number since Youtube and Patreon are in flux, but if we assume (reasonably, I think) that the extra $16k pretty much has to come from Twitch, he's made an average of ~$5800 a month since @EddyB43 started counting tips. So $5800 * 5 = $29000. Add on the $16000, and you get $45000 from Twitch alone in the next 5 months (December - April), or an average of ~$9000 a month. For reference, he's cleared $9000 solely on Twitch 2 times -- December 2017, courtesy of #savethehouse, and August 2018, when Tut showed up with $2200 in bits and about $1000 in tips (though that might have included the ~$400 in successful chargebacks). So yeah, Phil needs 5 miraculous months on Twitch, basically.

As someone who doesnt watch Twitch much, I gotta say it was refreshing to see someone have so much fun.

I went to Phil's stream and it was laggy as fuck. Has it been like that all night for him?

its actually deeper than that, thats moon moon a very avid dark souls gamer :P

Did DSP comment on how a Furfag is now the figurehead of the FGC?

I'm guessing you mean SonicFox? Unless more of them have come out to join him.

I'm equally confused as to why he waited as long to reveal it. I mean yeah in his mind holiday season is prime time begging season but you have to assume he was aware of what the total was going to be right? He could have given himself a much longer window instead of trying to squeeze the kids dry in a few short months. It's hard to imagine what his thought process is or if he even has one at all.

Can anyone link tevins unlisted stream from tonight. I hate myself so I want to see how badly Phil desecrates the greatest crossover ever

I think he figured last year's holiday begging was so successful when he claimed (as per usual) he'd lose the house - AND with no need to account for what he did with the money when he got it; that he would just get the support again this year - regardless of the amount

In addition, setting an amount makes people question the narrative that he is a 'small underdog common gamer' who plays games for fun and not money - but he seems to have swallowed his pride some what & beg for the $$$

I mean, admitting to faceless people online that you have saved $0 towards taxes that you KNOW you must pay from money THEY give you requires a special level of shamelessness, greed & arrogance that I have not seen in other people

Maybe the cost of moving Kat over and getting her set up (she was unemployed for a while) got on top of him. I'm sure he spent up a bit to impress her.

Imagine the conversation with his parents:

Dad: so you don't have any money for your taxes??

D$P: it's ok dad. I asked my viewers to give me $16,000 extra by April

Dad: um...That's alot of money. Pretty concerni...

D$P: there's nothing I could do! These trolls try to run my life everyday!

Dad: could your cut some of your spending? Rent a room out in your house? Rent out your condo?

D$P: I said there is NOTHING I could do! Geez.... Enough. Now, about my Christmas present...
