I remember this event, it was one of the last ones in pmde.

His name is Micle, and he's PK's ancestor.

He was relevant to the event because of time travel bullshit. I remember it being pretty clear he was a shitty person, and that the event required you to kill the sky shaymin. Either by having him or your team do it.

more personal experiences with the Hell Trio inbound, from the good old days of PMD-E again. PK plays favorites and she plays favorites real fuckin' hard.

So, we all should know by now that PK ran real fast and loose with Pokemon coloration. No full images but they're all visible regardless on the archive of PK's deviantart page circa 2011.

There are also these egregious three, which break Pokemon color rules.

A friend of mine (who desires to stay anonymous for virtue of having been a stupid-ass 15 year old at the time -- if you go searching for more to back this up, please respect that anonymity) joined PMD-E with a sneasel that used the beta sneasel's blue feathers, with black fur instead of brown. The group allowed beta sneasel, supposedly, with brown fur and blue feathers.
This team got away with a black-furred sneasel with blue feathers. Mods never gave them trouble for it. User had a large following.
I tried to archive it, I promise. Archive is just allergic to this page, I guess.

Marl pretty immediately got on their ass about it and started making a huge stink about the entire thing, in public, rather than deviantart notes.

Has he never held a colored pencil to a paper before? Surely this dude knew a traditional artist can't easily just "change the color" without relying on digital programs. This is something even 5 year olds learn.

He's being disingenuous as shit. His tone is really snide and insulting, like "as you get better with art, it takes less time." Who the fuck are you dude? Do you even draw? I don't mind a non artist giving some advice or a critique but that comment was not even needed. I bet he was jacking off while doing this too.

PK's been known to be rude to young artistic fans they have. Telling some of them that they'll never improve. Marl himself looking at his new art isn't better than most people who draw for a few years. I wouldn't be shocked it it takes him only a few hours for some of his pictures. They're both just assholes sucking on one another.

The thing that bugged me the most about that comment is the assumption of "lol if you just learn how to draw you draw faster!" which isn't true lol. Getting better does not necessarily equal getting faster. If anything you're likely to go a little slower because you're a lot more knowledgeable on techniques and anatomy or whatever else. A non artist spouting bullshit to a growing artist like it's right and word of God? Color me shocked.

:powerlevel: As someone who draws a bit myself, I've noticed it actually takes me way longer to complete a drawing now that I've improved than I used to. (When I first started, it took me only about half an hour to complete a drawing, now it takes me 2-7 hours depending on how detailed it is.) :powerlevel:
