There was a case in England in 2009 that involved what appears to have been a tight ring of five pedos swapping images. Four of them were women, including one who worked at a day care center and, because of course, refused to tell the police exactly which kids there she had photographed herself abusing. It was theorized that all four women were competing for the attention of the one man, but (a) he was kind of a scrub and (b) there's a point beyond which it seems like most people would wonder why they were putting all that effort in. It's a messed-up case, but the book about it (which is cited in that article) seems to be genuinely trying to understand why the day-care perp would go to all that effort for the love and attention of an extramarital lover she had only met in person a few times. Good goddamn question.

There's a documentary called "Chickenhawk" which is about why pedos do the things they do. I had a link to the documentary but I think it got DMCA'd. If I can find a new one, or if anyone else does, please post it.

It features interviews with real pedos and one of them explains how he justifies his actions and says something along the lines of what you just suggested. A lot of pedos are also CSA survivors who have normalized the abuse, and see it as part of growing up and they have neutralized the experience from hurting them by reframing it as a coming of age experience.

One thing I wonder is, why are pedos overwhelmingly male, if not exclusively so? Female ones do exist, but they seem to be vanishingly rare, outside the "teacher who fucked a 17 year old student" variety, what I mean is actual female pedos who want to diddle prepubescent children.

I think a lot of this is rooted in this societal belief that before you lose Ye Accursed Virginity, a man is not yet a man. So losing it at such a young age is covertly seen at this sort of super-achievement, and the boys and men involved in it are expected to play along lest they be considered a lesser man as a result regardless of whatever trauma it may have instilled in them. So it doesn't get called to media attention for the same reason that female on male rape gets less attention: because the ultimate result will be a pushback from the rest of society telling the boy that he wanted it and if he didn't then he's a raging faggot or something.

So its pedophilia feeding off a social failure. It's all very depressing.

You know, back when I was first exposed to /b/ on 4chan, I honestly thought the whole pedobear dumbassery was just a bunch of meme and jokes. Fine. But somewhere deep inside back in the day when I saw the inclusion movements for other sick ass stuff in life, and also the acceptance of criminal behavior like illegal aliens, I knew it would naturally progress to this point. I seem to remember a lot of people feeling the same way.

I said all that to say this: When I was younger I heard people bitch about the Bible, especially about Noah's flood. "How can a loving God do this to people?"
