He did just that for his retrospective. Even incredibly old and outdated comments and jokes, he just nodded along and smiled, an occasional, “yep, mhm, exactly,” would pop from his mouth.

omfg i didn't see much of that, i'm a bit shocked i was able to get that.
all i remember was when an old friend would show up he would have a genuine smile like some dead part of his brain lit up going "friend.. goooooood"
but whatever, money and ego is more important than friends.

I wish a bunch of autists hadn't REE'd all over Subaru Man and caused him to clam up, because it occurred to me this whole 'Catherine has her own debts, and can't contribute to my bills at all' narrative is something we only have from Phil's whore-mouth. It would be really nice to have that line of communication open so that we could ask her ex-boyfriend of 4+ years just how far in debt she actually is and/or how it came to be that she had all this debt while he seemingly paid for alot of her needs.

With Phil's KOHF open admission that if he received a large financial boon he would absolutely keep it hidden so that he could miIk as much money as possible from his fans it really has me wondering: why wouldn't he just make-up a lie that it's not possible for him to receive any financial support from Catherine? What if she doesn't have any debt and Phil is just hiding that she's helping alot with bills? Catherine seemingly has hundreds in available spending money per month to buy random garbage and video games at release day prices.

Also if Catherine is his Soulmate, why can't she put $10K on Credit Cards like Phil did 9 months ago to pay his state backtaxes to #SaveTheHouse? If Phil is to be believed that all he needs is to pay this years Federal Taxes, then he can refinance his house to pull all the equity out of it and pay off all his debt, then sail off into the fucking sunset, why would Catherine not help him out with that? She would have nothing to lose as Phil can pay her back whatever debt she takes on to get over this hump with the equity in his house a short time later supposedly.

Something just seems really off to me about Philbert and Catherine supposedly being Soulmates who want to get married, but she won't financially help him out even though they have the rest of their lives to pay each other back and are ready to merge their finances anyway by getting married. I think Phil just started telling the most plausible lie that he thought all the 'detractors' already believe anyway as this years begging narrative. I've been pretty suspicious ever since he named the exact number Kiwi Farms thinks he needs for his Federal Income Tax payment. The fact that instead of being scared and worried by the support he is losing over this, he is throwing 3 kinds of tantrum, angrily name-calling and telling everyone to fuck off reads to me like angry Philliam not getting the Wolverine toy.

TL;DR This is all bullshit. Like someone else said, "Gee, I wish I could 'lose' my house and have it pay off all my debts,". . .while still having a 2nd place to live to move into.

DSP would make for an interesting case study on the effects of social media addiction. He's been on this train for a decade and while it's imperative that he continues to fuel the train on pure greed, I really think beyond even the lifestyle that was afforded to him that he values the ability to stay outside the reaches of regular society. He's been shunned by every group he's been part of online and offline and if he hasn't, he convinced himself to hightail it in the opposite direction from any that remained close to him. Now he lives with a woman that he struggles to get two syllables out of. All the oversharing of information about himself and the years of transferring every single event in his life over on to a bitesize video catalogue (until more recently at least) suggests he really thought he would just transplant his entire existence into the matrix or something. "So what do ya need?"

Maybe this is just where the world is headed in general (if you're already a fully formed manchild/misfit anyways) but he's probably the best cautionary tale against living entirely in your own head on the internet that I can think of.

Whoever touched the doodoo, as much as I scorn troll cheers and everything else, think this was kinda well done. All kid did was sent an email. He really wasn’t all that involved... He got a reaction from a rather banal email, he didn’t fling 500 bits a day like a faggot or tip to get a stupid message on screeen, he sent a free email.

This shit was the lowest effort. Like 4 months from now literally anyone can write the same thing of “hey I want to donate but don’t want people to know” and Phil will fall for it again. Fuck, it’s so boiler-plate you could send it to half of the cows here and get the same response.

If you’re going to make an effort to troll at least be creative instead of doing the equivalent of tying a dollar to a string and yanking it down the road.

I can still contact Subaru man, and I actually text him a few weeks ago to see how he was doing and ask him a question about the lore, which seemed to kind of annoy him. He is actually a really cool guy, but I doubt that he would be willing to tell us anything about Kat's financial past, being that I asked what industry she worked in and he wouldn't tell me that.

Right on. Yeah, I was re-reading the communications from him a few days ago and remember him saying, "What do you want to know? I don't really want to expose her or anything," so that makes sense. I just wish we had some avenue other than Phil's mouth to find out about it.
We know she got evicted from an apartment at one point before she was with SM, so maybe there is some debt looming over her. But I have a hard time believing she has more debt than the King of Suffering such that she couldn't max out her credit to get over a hump and be paid back for it, or that she has so much debt that after 10 rent free months she hasn't paid a significant portion of it off.
Edit: I think I had this idealized version of SM in my head who would have been willing to spill all the details due to the cheating and her being a psycho (his words iirc), I forgot that he just kicked her out, moved on, and doesn't want anything to do with her.

I read through her entire Twitter feed onetime and kind of got the feel she was living exactly like that when she was with SM too. Looking at her feed from when she was with him she's constantly Tweeting about buying new video games, she bought a PSVR when those were new, etc.
Based on things she's said before i've speculated that she might have student loan debt, but nothing so significant it would prevent her from paying a type of 'rent' to Phil, or saving up to fix his 'Tax Crisis' over the next 5 months. Seems like a bitch move to see your 'Soulmate' in this much distress and not try to help them find a way to get through it together.
