It was entirely Chris's idea, however, Kengle was quite instrumental in egging him on through making and administering Facebook groups. This made Chris think there was a personal army of people who hated Blarms. This component is missing today.

Depends on your definition of Normal. Personally, I believe that he might have been able to support himself stocking shelves or mopping floors, a big step up from being a charity case.

People can become successful despite shitty parenting too, and Bob's other sons were stranded. Bob only found out he had a grandchild because Chris went to his ophthalmologist half-brother for an eye exam and he mentioned it. You dont have a son (daughter on that case, I think) without even telling your dad, that's fucked up.

On the other hand, maybe Barb scared Bob's kids away by being the hilbilly harpy that she is, who knows.
