What makes Phil think that people aren’t going to see his responses in chat? He seems to believe that what he says on video versus what he says in chat is completely separate. Much like how he treats his Twitter and Twitch personas as separate entities.

Phil is racist, there is no doubt about it.

Ask Phil what he thinks about college and he will inevitably tall about how he couldn't get into an ivy league school because he is white.

Is this being racist?

Didn't he say something about Asians being genetically better at math sometime less than a month ago? That is still being racist.

These are not jokes that could be passed off as racially insensitive jokes. These are his actual opinions, therefore he is racist.

I don't think he's ever legitimately apologized. He's made excuses "nobody complained at the time" "I was younger I didn't know better" etc. Which at 30+ you damn well know better you arrogant cunt. If he did legit apologize detractors couldn't use it anymore. As long as he didn't do it again and prove the apology was just another bald faced lie.

In fact, didn't he "apologize" for the Dead Space 2 fiasco, then go on to mock Chinese people in MGS1? Or is my timeline fucked up there?

So, no. He has never actually apologized. He's claimed he has, he's claimed he's not racist, that the humor was racial. But it was just flat-out racist. He dragged it out so much it came off as incredibly spiteful and unnecessary. All he had to do was a quick "Got carried away, I'm sorry for any offense given, it was not intended". Somehow, he fucked that up.

Edit - The "ignorant" part of his message just hit me for some reason. Does he think all his viewers watch him all the time? Does he think they're aware of every single thing he's ever done? Even we as individuals don't know everything he's ever done.

That seems like an incredibly egoistic thing to say. "You should know of my every statment and event, if not you're ignorant".

Yeah he watched it during his 10 year retrospective video even though it has nothing to do with DSPgaming he just stumbled upon old FGC footage and went grandpa mode and even though the chat kept asking him to go back to his playthrough moments he kept going "Just one more video guys, just one more then we'll go back.." and this was the last one from that series he watched it in complete silence with this sad smile on his face. It was kind of a freaky moment.

Though I must say it all comes across as a bit too "avid fan"-like. Like he's trying too hard to get noticed by DSP. A bit fishy.
Oh well, maybe he's just going through the first fase of the fan-to-detractor-transformation. Only time will tell.

I don't remember him donating/cheering any notable sum. He "only" has 100-bit badge next to a 6-month sub badge. But maybe @actually can provide some more insight into that subject.

I think T-pose is an undercover troll. He changed his name to t pose like the very next day after Tevin started mentioning it. I also kind of remember the hopper taking "light hearted" jabs at Phil, parroting what was being said in Tevin's stream. A made up example would be if Tevin said something about rock climbing the hopper would cheer and ask DSP if he's ever been rock climbing. I could be wrong, but I think that was the guy.
