In Jake’s case, he goes further than most, in that he effectively wants people to deny the undeniable. It’s not a question of being woke- he wants people to pretend that he is not and never has been Jake Alley, even though there’s more evidence for it than for the existence of certain historic figures.

Yeah, he basically wants people to ignore who he is in reality behind the screen and completely accept his made up internet persona, his role playing character.

At the same time he sees left wing progressives settling in with the bigots while the reality is that left wing progressives rejected him in the same way they rejected the bigots, they just don't want to associate with them/him. When Katherine Cross publicly disavowed him for the Soha thing the smart thing to do would be to apologize, admitting that he went too far and try to make amends, just to keep Cross around. Cross is at least respectable and has some influence while hanging on to Ragin' Becky is a road to nowhere.

I can't interpret this as anything except Jake looking at Zoe Quinn's twitter feed of a dozen or so comic sites trying to push her comic(which came out today) with positive coverage, and Jake is sad that he can't talk to her, and he's bitter that he never got this much help in promotion for Massive vs. Masses. All his trooning projection is him wanting to be with her so badly, that when he can't have her, he wants to be her, be a woman with all those roadblocks removed to nerdy industry success.

Really? I'd say the opposite, it's the single most common story in the creative fields. People just pay more attention to the Zoe Quinn case because she's so aggressively ugly that it makes even complete outsiders say "How did this happen?" And because more of her story took place in public than your average Z-list actress trying to blow her way onto the Y-list.

I think he's always wanted to be Zoe, that he sees himself as having contributed to her success, and deeply resents her gaining a recognition which he feels he's earned. I don't think he's ever wanted to be with her in a romantic kind of way. I believe him when he says he's aromantic and asexual because he's sociopathic enough that everyone is a means to an end to him.

Jakey used to get access to cons and a place to stay via troons like DePass and Cross, but then his zoepost 2.0 and harassment of Soha made him persona non grata in troon circles. Jake also keeps trying to strongarm his way into a career in gaming, which is why he's always sucking up to the trannies and chicks at Paizo on Twitter and continually trying to slide into their DMs. I'm sure Jake thinks if he shows up in all his gnome glory, he's going to finally snag the plum gaming job he thinks he deserves.

I love how he completely disregards his actions and tweets that got him blacklisted by friends. It was his creepy stalking/obsession with Zoe Quinn that shut down his network. It was his creepy obsession/hatred of Soha Kareem that caused the recent round of defriending.
