Esquivel's statement:

I was recently accused of misconduct by a former romantic partner. Not recent misconduct. Misconduct which allegedly happened many years ago. Out of respect for her and our prior relationship, I will not publicly name names.

I’ve taken a few days to respond, because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t talking over anyone. We’re in the midst of a very important cultural conversation right now. One I wholeheartedly believe in.

Never in my life did I expect that I would become one of the accused. I will not speculate as to her motivation for making these reckless allegations, but I want to make it clear that they are false. Though our relationship was unconventional, we always treated one another with dignity and respect.

I heavily encourage, and will fully cooperate in, any forthcoming independent investigation of these claims, which I am confident will show that I have been falsely accused.

I have been notified that DC Vertigo has canceled the book I was working on. My heart breaks for the book’s supporters, and my creative collaborators. They don’t deserve to be negatively affected by this unfortunate situation.

In other words, Eric only supports "Listen and Believe" when other men get #MeToo'd. When it's his turn to get his punishment for being a straight man, then he's all about the "Bitch is a Liar" defense. I'm sure that'll play well to his friends and audience.

More than an eye given the running theme he has with under-aged girls.

Now I'm not saying Joe Quesada is a pedophile who spanks it to child abuse and has gigs of CP on his home computer or on polaroids, but I'm saying he looks an awful lot like a pedophile who would spank it to child abuse and looks like the sort of freak who has gigs of CP on his home computer or on polaroids. I'm not saying that he would fuck children if left alone with them and in a closed room, but I do think that based on his writing history and demands on the writers around him that he should not be trusted around a catholic school girl's team as a coach or even legally be around children in general up to a distance of 500 feet.

Just saying that I would probably listen and even believe his daughter or a young intern who chooses to #metoo him when it inevitably happens. Because with that creepy fucking appearance and his sleazy as fuck writing ideas, it will probably happen if he keeps on bleating about his purity.

It's not that bad (yet), you're just looking at the bottom rungs. Even if things were good I don't think anyone would want Kim & Kim. The lower tier Big Two comics usually have an extra digit on that stuff unless they're really bad like America who I believe sank under 10k.

The fact he started off this whine with "CMON GUIZ! ITS BEEN LIKE YEARS SINCE I WAS SEXULLY ABUSIVE! STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS YALL!" makes me think the allegations are probably correct. I mean who the fuck thinks "even if it DID happen, it was ages ago so it doesnt matter" is a good way to make oneself look innocent!?
