You know, at this point given the fanbase Shad has collected, and the reputation his name holds... really, the only thing he could do at this point to become a respectable artist is to "kill himself" as it were. Take down his site, delete every profile he has, and even try DMCAing all his current work from the internet.
Then he'd have to reinvent himself completely. Practice a new style, find a new subject, the whole shibang.

But I don't think he ever will. He'd be a nobody again, he'd have to start all over and apply actual EFFORT to his art. And somehow, I just don't think he has the ability or desire to do that. He's already found a devoted audience of mouthbreathing knuckledraggers that polish his ego over his most banal, talentless shit and give him loads of money for low effort shitposty comics.

I honestly don't think he's good enough to rise above the trash anymore. Not even if he wanted to.

Shad is a good artist and can be funny when he puts effort in, but the problem is that he doesn't because of a mishmash of reasons such as the fear of losing fans, his reputation and laziness. He can rise out of the trash anytime, but his reputation is that of someone who only shitposts and belongs in the trash.

"He'd be a nobody again" yeah, like anybody is going to forget >shadman and all the controversial shit he's done.

I don't even know why people keep saying Shad used to be a good artist. Even at his "best", he was a second-rate pin-up artist that could only draw bimbos with beady eyes and pig noses. The edgelord reputation always served as a shortcut to fame without putting in additional effort. He just failed to anticipate that his image would eventually wear out and leave him as a washed-up hack fraud and pedophile.
