John always gave me the vibe of somebody who could actually hurt somebody else if the stars aligned correctly. Not even out of a bigger malicious plan mind you, just because he was that nuts. (Which is btw. all about personality and not even about schizophrenia in itself, Terry was quite nuts and he never gave me that vibe for example) I'm pretty sure he gave the specialists working with him the same vibe so if they're not forced by outside forces I'm sure he'll be gone for a long time. Then again the US mental health system looks like a total mess so who knows.

Also I'm pretty sure they'll wipe his brain clean with old-school neuroleptics, he will not get any of that fancy atypical stuff, mostly because he's probably easier to deal with that way and they are a lot cheaper. (see above re: mess) These medications are suspected to cause lasting damage, schizophrenia is degenerative and he's quite old so being in a facility is probably the best you could do for him to make him stay alive. What kind of life that is is a question for another day.

John HAS actually hurt somebody. He raped a child(sexually). The scary thing is I am not convinced that he will be institutionalized for good. My instincts are scream8ng 6 - 18 months he will be wandering the streets again(sexually) wearing naught but his necklace of knives. Because once they pump him full of meds he gets just rational enough that somebody thinks “outpatient management” is a good idea. At which point John gets placed in a group home (sexually) kicked out of said group home almost immediately (sexually) and starts living (sexually)under the closest highway bridge to his old neighborhood, while wandering it pantless and making his old neighbors and the new tenants in his old place’s lives a scary living hell. (Sexually)

Maybe he will be visited by the Nurse Ratched of Mental Stability

I don't know how I feel about this. John was an entertaining person to watch online for sure but I think people in public around him probably didn't feel safe.

Upside : provides content for Kiwi Farms

Downside : Sex offender who tried to rape his niece, threatened a family with a knife necklace

Gee, it's a tough one...

Yeah, Bulla was an entertaining cow but it's far better for him to be put away. The guy is a genuine threat to public safety and the well being of those around him.

I'd rather people be safe than have myself be entertained by the antics of a mentally-ill person.

Not just for the above but...

Sorry, but seriously, can we stop putting "(sexually)" in every post? I get it, it an in joke about this cow but it starts getting obnoxious. Especially when it is an actual criminal sexual act like
raped a child(sexually).
. Just remember that this thread could end up in a criminal case or as a warning for people in the future who are searching bulla. The in jokes and trolling don't resonate with most people and will likely give him sympathy.

This is turning into the Greer thread.

P.s. don't worry I expect down votes since this is a cultcow thread.

I don't see how an in-joke will ever matter. That said, I think it would be a good idea to mention the fact that he's a convicted child rapist in the title or OP (even if it is found pretty quick) like it is in the old thread. A lot of people have seemed to think of him as a harmless kook through much of the thread.

I’d like to think that John refers to himself as I John because he is a failed Apple Mandroid concept from the early 90’s who takes apart clocks for scrap and wants to love just like humans do but can’t for obvious reasons. It makes this whole mess a little less sad.

As someone with a family member with schizophrenia, it seems to be a pretty common schizo thing to do to refer to yourself as "I, {name}" or "the real me" - it doesn't seem to be multiple personalities, so much as an association of the person they want to be versus the person they acted like.

I think it's a twisted version of a coping mechanism.

Merry Christmas to you all and I had to share this....Bulla might just be a rich business man (sexually) and never revealed he made mens colognes named Sexual and used a french alias to market it!
I couldn't resist taking that photo and share it after having a good laugh yesterday when I saw that in a pharmacy. I hope it may have brightened your day if you are not in the Christmas spirit after losing family members and friends.

What a ride it's been. I'm the most sorry for his mother... having to put up with two insane children (remember his brother is just as crazy) at the age of 93. Wonder why they turned out this way, maybe the mom herself had something to do with it. Thank you so much brainbleachneeded, without you many of Bulla's antics and demise would have probably gone unnoticed.

Given that there are two schizophrenic brothers I’d lay heavy odds that either the mother had a history of schizophrenia in her family or the father did.

It’s not about how you’re raised with schizophrenia, though years ago they like to try to blame mothers. There is a very strong genetic component.

Albert Einstein’s oldest son was a severe schizophrenic who spent his entire adult life in institutions. Weird connection between people with PhDs in mathematic and their family members suffering from schizophrenia too.

It’s a horrible yet fascinating disease but it seems it’s embedded in one’s genetics. One mystery is if certain things can trigger its onset and if so maybe there are ways to prevent it, but we still don’t know.

There seems to be a connection between smart and intelligent people and all kinds of mental illnesses; I lost count of the people in Oxford who had anxiety or depression (before they even started their studies). Guess the whole "genius and madness are two sides of the same coin" thing has more than a grain of truth to it.
