IT WAS TRUMP WITH HIS OWN ORANGE HANDS THAT NAILED JESUS TO THE CROSS (and as far as i know Baby jesus is more of a latino thing, not american)

The only way Trump could possibly lose a re-election is if the Democrats had a candidate or a message worth giving a shit about; and they don't. They've had years to try and figure this out and haven't and have instead fragmented their base even further while the Republicans have solidified theirs for the most part.

Generally, I agree with you. Party politics start with your party, then you look to undecideds. The DNC has a major problem right now. Party politics demand you run your best chance of winning. (Which is also why you NEVER back a losing horse twice. Alpha Mike Foxtrot, Hillary.) If you want the $cratch, you had better convince the real donors you've got a chance, or the money goes across the aisle. Don't ne distracted by outliers like Soros. Follow the real corporate donors, and you see they spend liberally on both parties, to hedge their bets, but always one more than the other.

The wild card, really is the changing base. Four years is long enough to actually measure demographic shifts. Not the ones the sperging is always about, but the ones the real operatives pay attention to. What demo is dying, which ones are maturing? Which states are growing, which shrinking? Florida is consistently getting a bit bluer every election. That's 29-30 votes. If Florida actually becomes a battleground, the DNC might get rejuvenated.

I'll make my same prediction again: 2020 is for the Democrats to lose. Trump is, was, and remains vulnerable. But not unless you've got a real alternative.

Good God, it's getting far worse than that. Check out this one:

Are these morons even stopping long enough to think about what they are fucking saying? If the Russians were getting "secret Treasury files" in 2016, who exactly controlled the Treasury Dept then? (Hint: Not El Hombre Naranjado!)

Really for the DNC it's not about "who is electable" because they don't have anyone that fits that description. It's about "Who will actually give us money so that we can campaign and bring in more donations to shave off money for our personal use". If Hillary can bring in the big terrorist foreign donations through her "charity" foundation again, she can fund the DNC and effectively buy the nomination. Again.

Which is hilarious, because a major TDS talking point is still somehow "He didn't really want to be President, it was just a vanity run", when it's Hillary's vanity that makes her refuse to accept she lost.

Ever heard of the Iron Law of Institutions?

The level of delusion right now is staggering. They keep spamming this same "news article" towards his tweet with "this will surely be the end/prison time!" responses.

Donald Trump goes into a “tailspin” as everything goes wrong for him at once

With his political scandals worsening by the minute and his criminal scandals threatening to finish him off entirely, Donald Trump now finds himself in a no-win situation: either shut down the government or give up on his border wall. Suffice it to say that, behind the scenes, Trump is in even more of a pickle than it appears from the outside.

If Donald Trump shuts down the government, mainstream Americans will conclude that he’s trying to take the country hostage in the hope of fending off his own ouster. If Trump agrees to a continuing resolution without getting funding for his wall, his racist base will turn against him. Trump can’t win either way. His exasperation is now spilling over, both publicly ad privately.

For instance, Trump posted this tweet this morning, all but admitting he’s simply a terrible negotiator: “When I begrudgingly signed the Omnibus Bill, I was promised the Wall and Border Security by leadership. Would be done by end of year (NOW). It didn’t happen!” Then New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman tweeted that according to her inside sources in the White House, Trump was in a “tailspin” because he wasn’t sure what to do.

This is a reminder that, in addition to the fact that he’s a sociopathic career criminal and traitor who rigged the election in his favor and isn’t even really the president, Donald Trump is also just plain crappy at trying to do this job. He’d be circling the drain for political reasons, even if he weren’t circling the drain for criminal reasons.
Then when nothing happens, they'll pretend they never made these claims... again.

Do they teach this type of stuff when pursuing a journalism degree?

Honestly, are there classes on how to fabricate and sensationalize current events, and then beat their version of the news with sheer blunt force trauma into everyone's heads?
I don't think people need to be taught how to lie.

I don't think people need to be taught how to lie.

They do need to be taught to lie effectively, though, or learn it from somewhere. Look at how many lolcows are absolutely terrible at it. Hell, Kurt Eichenwald's a shit liar, and he actually did learn the journalism trade. A lot of them are actually crap at lying, they just all reinforce each other so the lies endure under sheer repetition rather than scrutiny.

I agree that this makes for better lies, but I see no evidence of such training. They're living off of the reputational capital the media built up in the previous century, squandering it, and then getting angry at the diminution of that reputation.

Ya know......even a few months ago I wouldnt have guessed that the reaction to Trump pulling out of bloody pointless brushfire wars in the middle east that EVERYBODY hated and that the left has been railing against for nearly 20 years now would have been this

I mean fucking really?

Yall are going to screech about how ORANGE MAN BAD because he did exactly what you fucking people have claimed to have wanted since 2001?!

Is...is war now woke? IS THIS REALLY FUCKING HAPPENING?!

Oh god is this gonna be part of the democrat platform in 2020?

"VOTE FOR US AND WE WILL SEND THE TROOPS BACK TO THE FUCKING DESERT TO DIE POINTLESSLY IN IED ATTACKS, GET DYSENTERY, AND WATCH HELPLESSLY AS THE LOCALS FUCK KIDS ON THEIR BASES! THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX NEEDS THE MONEY GUIZ!"

I mean im sorry to harp on this but....damn this dishonest shittery is breaking my brain. My earliest memories of political awareness were of watching left wing pundits declare the wars in the middle east to be evil american imperialism. Now its evil american imperialism to not occupy half the middle east.

EDIT: also between this and the korea thing, it is unironically an outrage that Trump isnt given Obama's fucking Nobel Peace Prize. Especially given the fact that he is defying his own party in this shit

I'm not sure how you meant it, but I would be tickled pink if they actually took Obama's Peace Prize away and awarded it to Trump.

Well they fucking should. Obama somehow managed to turn a shitheap situation in the middle east ten times worse, and he got lauded as a hero all while he did it because the media was obsessed with rimming his nigger ass since "HES SO KEWL GUIZ!" and he got the nobel peace prize solely for not being the idiot who started the brushfire wars in the middle east, despite doing nothing to end these wars himself and spending his whole presidency either funding proto-ISIS groups all over the map or drone striking toddlers. Trump actually fucking did what Obama said he would do back in 2008 and had to defy both his own party and his own defence sec to do so.
