I wonder if Becky has a cuff to check her BP regularly because you absolutely need to do that between doctor visits when you are trying to get your blood pressure under control. I'm thinking not because God forbid they have anything in that house that might possibly remind AL about her potential for obesity-related disease.

Becky also seems to have that type of fair complexion that any time she's hot or out of breath (which is probably often with her recent weight gain and low activity level) she's going to look flushed.

No way, tending to her health would take away from the time she needs pretending to be 10 years old.

No comment on Becky's blood pressure (IDGAF about her health) but fatties are frequently red-faced 'cause it's hot having that much blubber, everything they do is physical exertion, and it's super obvious if they're pale like her. I bet if she gets going her cheeks look kind of purple.

It's pretty common to see that go away if they lose enough weight.

Becky's redness and mottled skin on her arms and legs can't be just because of HBP. She has some other circulation issues, blotchy skin is a sign of poor circulation (like "you're almost dead" poor). Like diabetes, it's often comorbid with HBP and causes poor circulation. Or Cushing's. Both of them are playing dangerously on their health, wouldn't be surprised if they both pass before 35.

Also ffs her neck looks uncomfortable. How can she breathe or look down? That has to hurt her jaw and cheeks.

Gotta be honest here. I don't feel much of anything for Becky. Sure, she isn't as bad a person as Amber, but she was a "fan" before deliberately seeking her out so it's not like she was going in blind. If she doesn't want this life she should grow the fuck up and take control of her own health and circumstances, rather than sitting idle and letting things happen. Would that be hard to do? Absolutely. Welcome to being an adult.

She's not a little kid or pet who is stuck with a shitty caretaker and doesn't know better. She's perfectly capable of enacting change if she chooses to.

Nobody has forced the Thumb to do anything. She had a (relatively) normal life before Big Al and can regain it at any time.

Just because we see less of Thumby and she seems quieter than the shrieking nightmare, it in no way means she is any sort of victim or a better person. They are a perfect match.

Becky knew what she was getting into when they started dating. Also, no one is holding a gun to her head and forcing her to shovel food in her maw. Getting really sick of the whole " Becky is a victim" thing. She makes the choice every day she stays with the cow.

I agree on Becky being responsible for her own choices. However, the reason I wish better things for Becky is that she is clearly a person with a weak personality (submissive, own will reduced, maybe not the brightest individual) - If she had a strong one, she could wake up and find herself in the shit she is, tell Amber to go get fucked and roll that beast out of the house, then start her life over and gain some self respect. But because she is not that strong (prove me wrong Becky) she will just keep on being an enabler and cripple herself along Amber. I do feel some sympathy cause she probably knew what she was getting herself into but not in the scale we are witnessing lately. Getting out of a narcissistic person’s paws is easier said than done, especially when you are financially dependent on them.

If Becky were ever to decide to start turning her life around and become more independent, it's p damn obvious that Hams is gonna be there, shitting all over every single one of her attempts.

Amber would not be supportive of any decision Becky makes, because in her me-me-me little world, for her beloved Becky to start bettering herself is making Hams look even hammier. This includes not just losing weight, but finding a job. Picture Becky needing the car to attend a job interview only for Hams to waddle out and sink the fucking thing in her many rolls screeching over losing her 24/7 ornj chikkun taxi service.

A part of me will always feel for Becky, but not for as long as she chooses to stay shackled with the beast. It's a tough situation for her anyhow -- either live and die very soon with Amberlynn, or try to break away and face even more abuse and manipulation from her. All signs are pointing toward the former. RIP Becky.

It would be hard to get out from under Amber's thumb (ha!) but Amber is already unsupportive, bitchy, and very possibly abusive. If things are going to be a garbage fire anyway she may as well get some self-improvement out of it.

Or she could keep going as is and, I assume, hope that Amber dies first.

I'd be more concerned about Amber increasing the abuse, but... Damn she can barely walk. She wouldn't be hard to get away from. It's not like Becky is married to an abusive cop or Marine who she couldn't defend herself against or whatever. Just take her out somewhere without scooters and walk away.

I dunno where anyone is getting the idea the Thumb WANTS out. She's getting exactly what she wanted. No job, lots of crayons and stupid hats/shirts, and all the free food she can stuff down herself. She's living the hillbilly high life.

Just because a person of at least average intelligence who isn't a depressive thumb would be horrified to find themselves in her position doesn't mean the Thumb is.....

I agree she doesn't want out. But I wanted to add that if she did, she'd have the support of Eric & Rickie and that would help a lot. She wouldn't be in it alone vs Amberlynn. But again, I don't think she wants out.
