He's always thought he had god powers and he's never let go of this dumbass 'I'm a transgender lesbian' charade - he seems to be living vicariously through Neptunia by using an old video games console as his avatar or something and trying to bring about the actual honest to god cartoon apocalypse.

It's funny, but I recently listened to a podcast talking about why the fuck the First Crusade even happened. According to the podcast, it was some kind of convluted popular theory about trying to advance this entirely theoretical series of events to bring about 'The Emperor of the Last Days' which would lead to Armageddon, and then subsequently the Second Coming of Jesus where everybody who was good and holy would ascend to heaven.

Now, consider that instead of an entire fucking army of idiots trying to bring about salvation through their own destruction, it's just Chris. And Chris also thinks he's essentially the Emperor of the Last Days...

You know those fringe religious whackos who always say that some random date is the end of world? This is now chris. Chris is now a prophet and this is his theoretical end of days.

What if he is telling the truth about feeling lightning throughout his body?

I think it started as the latter, as a form of escape from the catastrophe that is his life, but evolved into the former. I don't think him pointing out real events as harbingers of the merge is a manifestation of his True and Honest belief in the merge. I do think him referring to his worrying health symptoms like increased frequency of deja vu, electric feeling, chronic headaches, dizziness, hallucinations, etc... is him pointing to physical proof that he is the main conduit of the merge.

The thing with Chris is, it's so hard to tell what his level of discomfort is. I know much has been made of his tard pain threshold, but the guy DID open up a very deep would in his taint with a fucking steak knife. And that shit wasn't just a cut, it was well into his fatty tissue and he'd pry the thing open on the reg., not to mention how much sitting on it must've hurt. And even then he had to talked into going to a doctor.

So whatever is going on with him now, he could very well be unknowingly downplaying how serious it is simply because the idiot is weird about pain.
