Edit: I finished the video and didn't laugh once. Mac was his usual charming self but it just wasn't funny. Also, they shit on the Genesis Home Alone 2 for some reason. That one's actually good even if it has a couple of frustrating moments.

My main problem with this one is that James goes down the predictable route of "OMG, like I'm totally doing a thing with the guy who was IN the thing!!" whereas Mac's RLM appearance made it seem like he fit right in and was a regular part of the cast.

Especially since they made it seem like it was going to be an episode with Josh as part of the review table and not Mac.

I found this one to be in between "Mac" 's AVGN episode (as the lesser) and his RLM showing. (as the better) At very least it doesn't suffer from the (very real) problem you mention with the Mac AVGN episode, unfortunately, who the fuck are all of those fat fucks in the thing I linked? lol.

I've given it a chance and I'm just not a fan of Rental Reviews. James is fine but the other guys just lack personality and are basically just yes men. They seem to enjoy any and everything without any kind of criticism.

I'm starting to think The4thSnake needs a thread. He's one of those autists who not only follows Mortal Kombat for the lore, but spergs constantly about how Netherrealm are betraying him and gets hung up on the most benign and stupid details (think CinemaSins, but presenting nitpicking as legitimate criticism). He also treats his audience like dogshit and constantly calls them retarded in his videos for daring to disagree with his sanctimonious fart-huffing. The few legitimate grievances that he brings up are often times covered by others before him, so even his actual intelligent opinions aren't exactly unique to him.

He also writes a ton of mediocre at best fan-fiction.

I've taken a look at a couple of his videos (both his Sonic and Tomb Raider bootleg ones respectively to be exact) and yeah, it seems like for the most part this guy is doing the same exact tropes and cliches as many other reviewing persona past and present--something that hasn't reinvent the wheel or bring anything new with his personality, and you would think; coming from the same guy that had the retsupurae treatment prior; he would do anything creative with his reviews.

Which is sad, cause honestly--and I can't believe I'm saying this--he does have a great concept! A review show about bootleg games might sound fun on paper. Not to mention, I agree that Sonic Jam 6 and the Chinese Tomb Raider bootleg are unplayable piles of bootleg mess. He surprisingly made some really good points with either two games (the videos I've watched at least). All and all, fantastic! Unfortunately, this all boils down to the fact that his reviews are cliche'd, angry "this game sucks and I wanna do something else please god help me" persona tropes we've seen in many other tropes in the past--which makes his content pretty boring.

Brah, the Dark Seed 2 series was top notch, "Oh no, it's the hall of death again, the only way out of here is death!". Also, I wished they covered Danganronpa 1 while it was being translated by SA when they made the Anime Academy videos, the somewhat ludicrious writing of the VN would be pure Retsupurae content if they went on after Anime Academy vol 2 especially considering how big the fanbase got after they made the video back in early 2013.

Yeah, 10 years and he still hasn't quite figured this out. Over 10 years, actually.

He had a previous YouTube account called GalaxyExpress, or something like that, but it got suspended because of Viacom (remember when they were getting videos taken down left and right?). The most memorable things about AllieRX87 are the amount of games that the AVGN ended up reviewing later, with much better quality, and the retsupurae video. That's about it.

Another guy I remember from back then that got retsupurae'd was KoiKitsune2006. His content was bland, and for whatever reason, he went through numerous accounts. You can find his old content here. That's just a guy who reuploaded the videos, btw. Anyways, I talked about Kitsune in another thread, he tried and failed to get some autistic underage pussy, and gets almost no viewership these days.

Yeah, Bootsy was his name. Didn't know about the sperging. Must of been real bad to get the boot as well since I'd imagine James wouldn't care about peoples political opinions.
