Most of the resistance to radical feminism here just stems from people being ignorant of what it actually means.... to the uninitiated a lot of their terminology sounds combative, conspiratorial and anti-male when it's really not.

Radical feminism is one of the most inherently lolcow ideologies i can think of. Putting aside the troon stuff (where tbh, i have some sympathy with their beliefs), they're like mainstream, liberal feminists, but with all the worst bits dialled up to eleven.

(Apart from the troon stuff) Radfems believe all the stuff mainstream, liberal feminists do, except radfems are way more hardline- the idea that all women in the Western world are inherently 'Oppressed', the 'patriarchy' stuff (which gets deep into conspiracy theory territory with radfems), Westen culture = 'rape culture', 'intersectionality', 'privilege', ' all that stuff, except always more hardline than standard feminism.

Plus, unlike mainstream, liberal feminists (who are mostly 'sex positive') radfems believe

-that it's impossible for women to ever legitimately consent to porn. If a woman thinks they consent, that's either 'internalized misogyny', or some evil man is secretly forcing her to say that. They say that porn inherently exploits the women (many radfems just say porn = rape because "you can't purchase consent". Nobody tell them how 'employment' works). And ditto all the above for prostitution.

And finally, one of the most prominent, influential radfems unironalically claims that all hetero intercourse = rape, because penetration is inherently violence. (This is a common belief in lesbian-dominated radfem circles.) That's Andrea Dworkin who came up with that.

Radfems are the epitome of that "obese, angry, man-hating bulldyke" stereotype of feminism, from before sjw-ism made everything all troon-friendly and touchy-feely.

[To be fair, there are a few points where i dislike the radfem stance less than the liberal feminsm one (radfems are more willing to call out the nuttiness of troonism, or of 'feminists' supporting Islam), but overall terfism/ "gender critical radical feminism" is a huge nut-magnet within feminism. Because it's basic premises are nutty af, and its all about being more 'radical' than the last angry bulldyke sperging out because someone did/didn't want to fuck her]

Second wave feminism is one of the most sensible, thoughtful and rational ideologies out there but it suffers an image problem comparable only to neo-nazism's because certain people are incapable or pretend to be incapable of seperating concepts used in abstract academic debate with literal concrete statements and conspiracy theories. If you want to talk about this in good faith and with an open mind I'm sure some of our new-found friends would be happy to explain some of the basic concepts you've gotten completely ass-backwards, but personally I'm not entirely sure anybody can be this poorly informed by accident.

This thread has been weirdly pro-TERF since its creation, this didn't just start with GC acknowledging us. However, most people have said that they sympathize with the TE part, not the RF part. That said, you could have picked some better aspects of Radical Feminist ideology to pick apart, since there are rational arguments to be made against prostitution and porn from a human rights perspective.

I generally sympathize with feminism. Women do get fucked over a lot and sexism is bad. I also agree with the TE part.

Radical feminism (i.e. "all sex is rape" and shit like that) is fucking stupid, but there's not many people who actually believe that. TERF now seems to mean anyone against troons, which would include me. So I guess the Hulkster is a TERF depending on the definition.

Generally I think people here are more anti than pro troon, likely due to the fact that they’re ripe for lolcowdom. I’m probably more sympathetic to troons than most but there are certainly many insane ones that deserve to be mocked, so I don’t really mind people being more against than I am. The only thing I say is be wary that just because someone is anti troon doesn’t mean they’re not a massive scumbag deserving of ridicule themselves. Been reading this thread and apparently, a lot of the TERF's are now supporting Kiwi Farms it seems. To be honest, I am a little surprised but it makes sense, the enemy of my enemy is my friend and all that.

I don't know what to think of this.

This is a tangent about someone trying to insert themselves in the whole Yaniv drama. I am unsure if that person is worthy of a thread, or if that should be moved somewhere else. Either way, here goes nothing.

A twitter user called SocJusWiz caught my attention a few days ago. At first it looks like a person reacting to Yaniv's antics and the reaction seems relatively normal.

If you happen to browse their timeline, you will quickly realize that they are a full blown TERF and that they are extremely obsessed with people like Yaniv. They try using him as a sort of springboard for their batshit insane agenda. After a while, Yaniv's KF thread gets thrown around, and these tweets get posted:
