That is actually a really interesting part of this train wreck.
You see, while a good deal of gay men and women are rightfully horrified by these “drag kids” (with Desmond being the most extreme example), there is a very loud vocal minority that is doing their best to gaslight the public and retcon the entire drag culture. They are now officially stating that drag was “never meant to be sexual” or “adult” in nature, that children were “always welcome” at drag shows, and that there is “nothing remotely sexual” in a drag performance in and of itself. Furthermore, a little boy dressed in drag is NOT “being sexualized” as long as some of their body is covered by the clothing, no matter how provocative said clothing otherwise looks. Also, being splattered with make-up doesn’t count as sexualizing either.
Even more shockingly, those who point out that all of this is bullshit and these virtue signaling creeps are essentially praising a small child dressing up and acting like a whore, they are immediately shouted down and gaslighted by the extreme SJWs and faggots, who call them the “real pedophiles” because they see a child doing drag as “sexual.” This tactic has done wonders, because it helped shut up many destractors, gay or straight.
And as I said before, I’m kinda shocked Labelle isn’t trying to ride on the coat tails of this controversy by “suddenly remembering” doing burlesque at age six and what a wholesome and beautiful experience that was for him.
