A transgender girl accused of assaulting two students at a Texas high school alleges that she was being bullied and was merely fighting back

Shocking video shows a student identified by police as Travez Perry violently punching, kicking and stomping on a girl in the hallway of Tomball High School.

The female student was transported to the hospital along with a male student, whom Perry allegedly kicked in the face and knocked unconscious.

According to the police report, Perry - who goes by 'Millie' - told officers that the victim has been bullying her and had posted a photo of her on social media with a negative comment.

One Tomball High School parent whose daughter knows Perry said that the 18-year-old had been the target of a death threat.

'From what my daughter has said that the girl that was the bully had posted a picture of Millie saying people like this should die,' the mother, who asked not to be identified by name, told DailyMail.com.

When Perry appeared in court on assault charges, her attorney told a judge that the teen has been undergoing a difficult transition from male to female and that: 'There's more to this story than meets the eye.'

Perry is currently out on bond, according to authorities.

The video of the altercation sparked a widespread debate on social media as some claim Perry was justified in standing up to her alleged bullies and others condemn her use of violence.

The mother who spoke with DailyMail.com has been one of Millie's most ardent defenders on Facebook.

'I do not condone violence at all. But situations like this show that people now a days, not just kids, think they can post what they want. Or say what they want without thinking of who they are hurting,' she said.

'Nobody knows what Millie has gone through, and this could have just been a final straw for her. That is all speculation of course because I don't personally know her or her family, but as a parent and someone who is part of the LGBTQ community this girl needs help and support, not grown men online talking about her private parts and shaming and mocking her.'

One Facebook commenter summed up the views of many, writing: 'This was brutal, and severe! I was bullied for years and never attacked anyone!'

Multiple commenters rejected the gender transition defense and classified the attack as a male senselessly beating a female.

One woman wrote on Facebook: 'This person will get off because they're transitioning. This is an animal. She kicked, and stomped, and beat...not okay. Bullying is not acceptable, but kicking someone in the head. Punishment doesn't fit the crime.'

From what I read, the store clerk refuses to refund the transwoman after he used "Sir" the first time. Offering "store credit" instead. Which pretty much defeats the concept to taking your business elsewhere as a form of protest against insult. That's already a volatile situation that the clerk, (who is probably violating corporate policy by continually misgendering and likely already breaking the law by refusing a refund) should be diffusing. Bring in the manager. Instead the "sirs" keep coming, on somebody who's trying and badly failing at gender presentation. When a trans person passes or comes close enough that they get addressed with feminine pronouns, and then gets the occasional sir, there's no big reaction. When the trans person looks ugly and particularly masculine despite their efforts, they're going to get sir'ed alot more, and stared at, so will be far more sensitive to this sort of thing. However the extreme reaction is still not justified as cursing and kicking things down in a store with kids present is threatening behaviour that's justifies a police response.

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion on this board, as the expected response here is "LULZ look at that troon ogre!" but I see this as an example of humans ignoring their higher reasoning and following their monkey brains and unnecessarily mutually escalating a situation that either party could have stopped. The store clerk was too ego- proud to realize you represent gamestop. You're not paid to have anti trans views. You're paid to follow the company line. The transwoman was obviously put into a primitive state of mind. From the media coverage, you'd think the trans went from 0 to 100 at being misgendered, when the truth is we're seeing the end result of something that built up.

Dipshit, it’s Gamestop. The ogre was probably trying to return something without a receipt, so store credit is the only thing they offer, as do any number of stores. Then he starts acting as man like as possible shouting and screaming and threatening the store clerk. The only gender neutral term the clerk should’ve used was “Asshole”.

Now tell that to the media that enables them.

The media only enables people like this because they can't do the same for gay people anymore. Gay people are now boring and unsympathetic, so all of the pity and rally cries go to trans people regardless of how much they brought their misery upon themselves.

The main issue is that learning someone is gay doesn't really change how you deal with them. The average alleged trans person who does not pass has to be treated carefully or else they will go off on you.

I don't blame regular people for bristling at the idea of having to suspend their natural sense that something is off about this person just because the media says they unilaterally deserve to be put on a pedestal. This is tiring for most people and why trans rights are in a standstill.

Your comprehension skills are for shit because it isn’t the clerk that called him “sir”, it was the female customer offscreen telling him to watch his language.

the only 'higher reasoning' that accepts troon pronouns is outright denial of physical reality. it's the kind of make-belief and self-delusion that belongs straight in the dumpster tbh tbh

also gamestop employees act on a tight set of rules laid out by corporate when it comes to refunds.
these stores are routinely targeted for fraudulent refund attempts, limiting receipt-less refunds to store credit instead of cash is part of their attempt at dealing with that issue.
JoAnns frequently had people steal high priced items and then try to return them at other stores in the city for cash. They went to only giving store credit on a gift card when the customer had no receipt. And if they had any doubts as to whether the person was part of a scam group (after we had been alerted for example from other stores being hit), we could call corporate and cancel the money on the gift card, and then they could squabble with corporate.

These cunts saw a violent ogre threatening some minimum wage employee and smashing up a store like some kind of fucking ape, and think that the criminal was the one being "harassed."

Yet more proof troons are delusional fucking crazies whose statements about anything should be ignored, as they are never remotely true or anything near what a normal human would have seen.
and what you wanna bet these ppl all think they are 'social justice' but love shitting on hard working people like that employee. that shit infuriates me. i was a fast food employee as a kid and had to deal with drunks coming from the bars, yelling and carrying on just like that. good thing they were too drunk to ask for a 'corporate number' -- these trannies are like drunks without the booze.

Mao would have sent them all out to do collective farming and die.

Fact: in the south that guy would have been shot by one of the customers. me, for instance.

"breaking the law"? not here. in these parts its the troon who is still against the law.

now what if this person wanders into the wrong part of town or the wrong region of the country, and starts having a troon moment?

--for their own safety-- they need to learn how to behave themselves. believe me, everyone will not put up with it.

he needs to learn that having fits (btw the end of that nigga moment video was EDUCATIONAL) will get you hurt bad.

just like we socialize children for their own good, not for ours, this troon needs to learn to behave, for his own good, not for ours.

and then they become martyrs with 500 news articles a day about a million poor, weak,, innocent trans killed a year. it just helps their cause to kill them.

Sounds like he just wanted to brag that he knew a tranny, so he shoehorned it in there. He suggested that a person with 0 acting experience take the lead role in a 50 year old film franchise. The idea that anyone is taking that or him seriously is sickeningly stupid.

To be devil's advocate, considering the size of the shit that Hollywood is taking on long-standing franchises this wouldn't be so far out of the realm of the ordinary.

They become martyrs no matter what happens to them. Doesn't matter if it's self-defense or something as innocent as calling one of them 'sir', the media will turn them into a martyr.

i thought what i said was: here is what the troon should (not) do to -avoid- getting himself killed. believe it or not, i was giving helpful advice.

if some troon spoke to my wife that way, in my presence? it would likely not happen in the first place, is the thing.
he was aware enough to pick his fight when quiet nice introverted types (and women & children) were in the store, not when me or my kind are in there. they -know- what they're doing and they're cowards.

anyway you bark at my wife to 'mind her business'? now its my business. and i will regard it as my business.

lots of old fashioned guys, even democrats, still feel like that. especially if our sons are there to watch our reaction.

this troon needs to learn for the simple reason that his life may depend on it.

let me ask you, has this stunt made mr gamestop safer? now that the whole world will recognize him? "there's the gamestop tranny, where's my rifle?" i don't think so.

bad behavior hurts everyone but especially the person who will eventually pay for it. my grandma used to tell us that.

The only gender neutral term the clerk should’ve used was “Asshole”.
The one thing that transcends genders, sexualities, races, and religions. Anyone can be an asshole and no matter how many labels you give yourself, or pronouns you make up, an asshole will always be an asshole.

Misgendering stuff aside, and this is purely from working retail in the past, store policy is store policy the clerk was doing his job. This scenario isn't much different from the black dude that lost his shit because he couldn't return Fallout 76. No one behind the counter is going to be on the customer's side when they start shouting or making threats for any reason. It's hard to say how much of the altercation we missed before the video was being recorded, but personally I've seen, and been on the receiving end of, plenty of 0-100 chimpout responses from customers just because they were told "no". So if this had been going back and forth for several minutes before things got ugly and the clerk had already had to repeat the same line of "No, we can't do that, our policy is store credit only" while Big McLargetroon kept loudly demanding they be given cash it's more amazing the clerk didn't completely lose his shit. I'm with you though the whole scenario is pretty bullshit from start to finish, but what most of us are seeing is one guy just trying to do his job while a huge fuckin' dude in girls clothes goes apeshit, and that makes it goddamn hilarious.

They become martyrs for a week or so, then they changed it for the outrage of turn, remember when Sagal burned himself? twitter was "oh no a brave transwomen killed herself bohoo bad bad america orange man", then 72 hours later "Chloe who?"

I still dont understand the terror people have again troons, what is the worst thing that they could do? say mean names to you on twitter? threaten to kill themselves and blame you for it? last troon that tried to blackmail people here was killed for being a shithead

Not freaking out in public is being "held to a ridicously high standard"!

Held To A Higher Standard

A few days ago a video started circulating on social media of a trans woman shouting at a GameStop clerk for misgendering her. There was a lot of yelling, vague threats of violence, and even some destruction of property. It’s not exactly pleasant. First, let’s look at the surface-level facts about this video (which I’m not linking because this poor woman has been ridiculed enough). We don’t know the context prior to when filming began, so it’s perfectly possible that the GameStop employee deliberately misgendered her. We don’t know, and I’ll make no accusations. What I do know is that the trans woman in question clearly overreacted. If the situation was that upsetting, she should have just left (which is what she ends up doing anyway at the end). The yelling, the threats of violence, and the knocking over displays were completely unnecessary. I’ve been misgendered before, both accidentally and deliberately, and I know how much that hurts. But this kind of reaction to it only makes things worse.

What this video has turned into online, however, is a perfect case study in how transgender people (of any gender, though I’ll be focusing on trans women in this post) are held to ridiculously high standards. The discourse around this footage has been an upsetting mess of people using it as an excuse to bash trans women as a whole. Comments range from ridiculing her as a man in makeup throwing a tantrum to the predictable TERF reactions of holding her up as an ‘example of how trans women are really just violent men with bruised egos’.

The internet isn’t new to videos of people losing their shit. We see them all the time. What’s different there is that society focuses on the antics of the individual and doesn’t apply them to whatever broader demographic they may be a part of (as long as their white). Look, here’s a video of a cisgender woman getting out of her car and physically assaulting someone through a McDonald’s drive-thru because they didn’t have Chicken McNuggets to sell her during breakfast hours. The web is overflowing with stuff like this. You can find evidence of people unjustly losing their minds that come in every skin color, gender, and religion there is. And as long as you’re cisgender (and white), everyone just laughs it off as one person throwing a tantrum.

But when you’re trans (and/or not white), those outbursts are then applied to everyone else in your demographic. It’s held up as an example of how violent or unstable everyone is who shares that common trait. Cisgender (white) women aren’t all seen as unhinged maniacs because this one lady blew up over not getting her McNuggets. Imagine if there was a collective discourse over whether or not cisgender women were fit to raise children during the Casey Anthony trial. That would be absurd. And it’s because part of privilege is knowing you can shrug off the antics of your community’s fringe members because no one is going to try and tie their behavior back to you. If that were true, then the staggering volume of white male mass shooters we’ve had just this year would ensure white men were never allowed to go anywhere ever again.

A few months ago there was a trans woman who published an opinion piece in the New York Times about how she was having regrets or at least second thoughts after her Genital Reconstruction Surgery. She described her new vagina as a ‘wound’ that she was keeping open through dilation. Right-wing pundits and TERFs went into a frenzy over it, claiming it was “proof” that GRS doesn’t actually help trans women. And while I’m not going to claim that the author’s feelings about her own body were somehow incorrect, it’s unfair to consider only her account and ignore the thousands of trans women whose lives were literally saved thanks to this surgery. Any time one trans person expresses regret about transition, it’s submitted as evidence that it’s damaging to all of us. We are all judged by our outliers, and it’s wrong.

For a long time now, a point raised against trans women using women’s restrooms is that it opens up the opportunity for a man to claim to be trans so he could go in there and prey on cisgender women. The retort from our side has always been that it’s a made-up scenario because it doesn’t happen (a point I’ve made myself). The problem with that tactic is that, eventually, it will happen. At some point, either a cis man is just going to barge into a women’s room saying, “I’m trans so you can’t kick me out!” or an actual trans woman is going to do something skeezy while in the bathroom. And when that happens, the TERFs and Ben Shapiros of the world will sound the alarm that we’re all a menace to society because it happened once. I promise you, it’s coming. We are one bathroom incident away from a new cry for legislation that forces us to use the wrong bathrooms and therefore be unable to function in society.

The UK has already been seeing this with the case of Karen White, a transgender woman who was accused of sexually assaulting fellow inmates while locked up in a women’s prison. What Karen was alleged to have done is awful and, if guilty, she should face further punishment. But her name pops up over and over as ‘proof’ that trans women who are incarcerated should never be locked in women’s prisons. This ignores the fact that inmate sexual assault and rape still exists in women’s prisons even if all the inmates are cisgender. Cisgender prisoners do sexually assault other cisgender prisoners. The presence of a transgender inmate doesn’t make the situation any more or less dangerous.

I’m tired of this. I’m tired of being punished for what a small subset of trans women do. I’m tired of TERFs sending me screenshots of trans women carrying bats and wearing shirts that say “die cis scum”, demanding to know why I’m not loudly decrying their actions. I’m not doing it for the same reason I don’t expect every person of Middle Eastern descent to spend every waking second loudly apologizing for the actions of terrorists. I’m not doing it for the same reason I refuse to associate every Hispanic person with drugs and gang violence like our shit-head president does. Judging a whole group by what their fringe members do isn’t fair. Accusing us of agreeing with violent or otherwise unacceptable actions because we’re not decrying them loudly enough for you isn’t fair. And it’s certainly not fair to point at the antics of one angry trans woman in a video game store, saying “see, this is what trans women are really like!”

I will not walk on eggshells. I will not let my rights be granted based on the actions of other people. One woman on Twitter defended her stance on this to me, saying the GameStop woman wasn’t being ‘a good ambassador of the trans community’. If you weren’t such a bigot to begin with, she wouldn’t have to be an ambassador; none of us would. If cis privilege wasn’t a thing, trans people could all just be judged by our own actions and not what other people do. But no, that’s not the standard we’re held to. Not only do we have to be hyper-feminine at all times just to have our identities respected, but we have also constantly worry about and apologize for the stuff other people do. And I’m sick of it.
Clickbait.
