This is one reason the harsher in hindsight category is trully dumb even by Tvtropes standards. They just found that two characters one fictional the other real went nuts because of some woman/women and automatically one is connected to the other. The fact the the Frollo song is partially him feeling guilt over not being able to rise to the ideal of a celibate life and then deciding he will go to all extremes to get Esmeralda while Rodger was angry he couldn't get laid and decided to kill people men and women is irrelevant.
One other thing does it actually make sense to call a character set in the Middle Ages fascist?

I thought that Hilarious/Harsher shit was only for stuff related to a work's production anyway? Like if a character dies of a stroke in a movie, and then the actor playing that character coincidentally also later dies of a stroke. Not "bad man in show is like other bad man in real life."

Harsher/hilarious is used for any real world connection these days no matter how slim.Like 'character in movie wants to shoot people from a clock tower but is stopped by the hero 15 years later real person shoots people from a clock tower'.Its one reason why they have a ridiculous ammount of 9/11 references in their harsher in hindsight pages. Its like anytime a building fell in a movie before 9/11 its harsh to watch today.Weirdly they even use these pages for events within a production.Like if in trilogy a character mentions how much they fear flying and in the sequel he dies in a plane crash automatic harsher in hindsight.

I had a few accounts. One I got banned for calling someone a fag, another I lost when they ended up changing the forum software and I didn't update my account info. Tried to go through my old post history to cringe at but the forums didn't have a way to go over a single user's post history, at least not as far as I could tell. Real shame because trust me, I was witness to (and responsible for) some grade A cringe at the time.

They took the "do not talk about /b/" joke too seriously. Plus, their page for it has been locked since who-know-when.

That's a legacy that goes all the way back to Fast "Gus Raley" Eddie. Man hated ED, the chans, or anywhere that would mock him and his website and any vector that could possibly encourage people to look at those sites he locked down, and if he had to mention them because he couldn't come up with an excuse why they shouldn't exist on his site at all, they were unlinked to the source locked articles only.

One of the things we decided when forming All The Tropes is that we weren't thin skinned assholes who could take the internet taking a shit on us, it was bound to happen from somewhere anyway, why pretend it doesn't exist, and shit, we are a public facing entity, criticism is natural and to be expected.

Then again, man hated the very concept of transparency and considered the idea he might be beholden to his own community to any degree beneath him.
