I thought about that, but I'm probably just going to fade away. Renee has a lot going on in her personal life, so this is plausible. I don't see anything productive or helpful coming from continuing communication with Chris. Like I said, I'm done here.

There's no auctioning the hoard, when the auctioneer pops the unit open, and the stench of rot and smoke hit their noses, and the raccoons bolt out, no one will bid, and the storage place will have to pay for HAZMAT to clean out the units. Oh, and they will probably be required to inspect the adjacent units for contamination. The storage place is screwed.

So, if Christian sent this email to Thetan... 2 days ago, then can we conclude that he hasn't been reading the forums? At least not assiduously. And therefore has no idea that Renee is a troll. It would also show that Ken isn't relaying this info from the forums onto Chris, or he is doing so and Chris is ignoring him.

Could be another of those cases of Chris hearing only what he wants to hear. "Hmm, yeah, the twolls would claim that Renee is one of them... they just don't want me to find a TRUE and HONEST mother for Crystal!"

It's actually a text message exchange, screen-capped from Google Voice.

I'm actually surprised that Chris hasn't tumbled to the fact that Renee is a troll. I've been very open about it (blown my own cover). I know Chris reads the forums from time to time and I thought he would have seen my posts where I outed myself. I'm also surprised that one of his new ass-patters / enablers hasn't clued him in.

"Renee" hasn't been in communication with Chris since Halloween (when she encouraged him to go the party at Impulse Gay Social Club.

I think it's significant that on the two occasions he did text Renee, he was having difficulties and needed something from her.

I also think that he may have sent the message about needing to store the hoard to more than one person. The beginning of the latest text message suggests the continuation of a previous conversation (either that, or it's just Chris's piss poor sentence structure).

All right, I'm letting my inner white knight out here, but the fact that the one person Chris is turning to in his time of need is secretly a troll depresses the fuck out of me.

If I can make a suggestion, Thetan, I think you should respond. Don't say yes, of course, but at least say something encouraging. It sounds like he's in desperate need of a friend.

It's almost as if constructing an elaborate web of imaginary contacts and friends for Chris could somehow mess him up in the long term...
