I think it's worth mentioning he has another debt hearing next week, maybe @Marvin can get him to spill more about it
Chris never seems to say much about his debt hearings. It might be because he's hiding stuff, but it's probably just because he's bored of it. He shows up, says blah blah blah and the judge grumbles at him, and then he's got another bill on the pile each month. If he didn't have to address anyone, I guarantee he'd be asleep.

I Know it’s dangerous to buy from Chris, but someone needs to save Rob’s Stamp Collection, who knows what’ll happen when it’s in the wrong hands

He probably just pawns Barb's jewelry while she's asleep and tells her it's lost somewhere. Going to the post office and putting things is a box is seen as work to him.
not like it wouldn't be hard to pretend it got lost considering the house tours of yesteryear and the one that was just posted.

shit to the fucking ceiling in every god damn room.

"who knows what’ll happen when it’s in the wrong hands"

lolwut? Nigga It's a fucking stamp album, not the Necrinomicon, or instructions on weaponizing Anthrax.

Chris getting rid of anythng is a positive, and the idea that every weird old-man knick-knack that Bob ever owned is a a Holy Relic Which Must Be Preserved Forever is autistic af.

there's two point to Bobs collections.

One he collected them, fine whatever that's the point.

He then handed them down, the point now is they represent an heirloom of sorts, maybe Chris chan could continue the collection, but it isn't required.

Buying them yourself is retarded for two reasons

One, you aren't bobs family, why the fuck would it mean anything to you, Why would it mean anything to bob even, your just buying random crap at that point. Someone else shitty family collection loses all meaning when ya know, you ain't there family, and you don't even know them personally.

Two, you almost certainly aren't collecting either, it'd make sense to snag the collection at a cheap price if you yourself were a collector. But I doubt there's many stamp collectors on the farms.

the only other reason I could think of is the pragmatic one, maybe Chris chan doesn't realize the value of it or something and you spy some high value stuff, buy it, then sell it at a higher price. outside of that, no one needs to go around trying to preserve Bobs legacy, except those that he wanted to, and if they don't want to who cares, they don't have to.

I'm not about to snatch the stamp collection off ebay.

But I do feel bad for Bob that Chris is selling them with such abandon. The stamp collection was something Bob mentioned in his letter to Chris, and that he'd hoped Chris would grow up to value them and see the value in keeping things that his father gave him.
Bob held onto a razor that his grandfather had given him, after all, and carried some guilt about having broken it.

Iirc he'd gotten some of them traveling through the world.
There might be some real monetary value in them but who knows I wouldn't give Chris any money for anything and people need to stop.

Barb wants money again.

He's mad because he'd rather play with his 4 imaginary husbands and run through other dimensions than listen to the old bag nagging him about money for buying some crap.

Edit: Does this make Barb the only thing that serves as a link between Chris and reality?

Sadly, yes. Everything else like interacting with people won't work since Chris is either shut in his house irl, or on the internet constantly

I think Chris got out of the house more often earlier before the tomgirl saga, but since, I think Barb does nearly all of the chores and work around the house. From grocery shopping to housekeeping, Chris has few resonsibilities to keep him in touch with the real world and little reason to leave his room, let alone his house. The only times he chooses to travel somewhere is to facilitate his own dilusions such as going to a convention.

Asking price of $100... funny how they barely begged while Chris thought the Merge was drawing near. But now we're less than a week into the Merge-less New Year and the begging's already resumed.

Also, this is only $8, but it's interesting that Chris was still able to buy a new PS4 game - Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back - today, even though Barb is yelling about money.

Barb makes Chris do the chores and errands.
