We know they met over the internet. We have examples of Phil's writing style going back over a decade. Is it possible he was able to woo Kat with his wordplay? Did his wit and charm ooze off the screen?

We can see how Phil often martyrs himself and acts like he's the king of suffering. He did say that Kat was going through a similar situation. Did he play upon her compassion somehow? its funny you ask this "what attrctive traits does phil offer" because my girlfriend always is laughing at me watching DSP restreams and detractor content and to be honest she has grown to despise him more than me. she thinks he is a complete unredeemable piece of shit and she has said many times she cant fathom why any women would be with him. she usually adds also that he is objectively hideous ugly and the snorts and burps and shit ofc she says are beyong disgusting.

from a womens perspective she feels there is absolutely no way kat can love that man. i asked if she thinks any women could deal with the snorting and burping and acting disgusting and the rest of it and she cant see it. i'm not saying its impossible but she thinks kat has to be a gold digger OR more likely someone who was so desperate that moving with phil was an act of desperation to get out of a horrible situation and at least have a roof over her head and a pretend normal life.

i think this is basically the most common theory i have read on here as well, so tbh it could be some gold digging too but i would guess its mostly the latter.

It takes different strokes to move the world. I know that's trite but Phil isn't the first person I've wondered how he managed to land an SO, nor the most irredeemable person I've seen with one. Against all reason, it may very well be actual affection.

Then again, I'd buy this possibility too. Phil does have notoriety. And (again, mind-bogglingly) he does have fans. It doesn't seem like if Kat had a true passion for being a streamer that she'd put it on hold for over a year now to step aside and keep from negatively affecting her boyfriend's career, and honestly given her demeanor when she's appeared beside Phil she seems genuinely uncomfortable in front of an audience, but maybe it's the prestige, however small, that attracts her to him.

I agree. In a strange way he'd be perfect for someone who wants a bit of companionship with very few demands placed on them up to and including intimacy and interaction. I'm not as familiar with the Leanna years lore-wise but from what I've seen Phil showed no real interest in her romantically, and was constantly talking about having to adjust his schedule just to be able to spend time with her.

Maybe Phil is just a turtle to her. Nice to have something else alive in the house so she doesn't feel so lonely but otherwise unobtrusive so she can live her life the way she wants and asking very little of her.

You’re not telling me anything I don’t know. While waiting on an apartment I had to sleep on my buddy’s floor before. I had to live out of a car for a few months and if there’s one thing I know, it’s that life can get complicated in a matter of hours.

What I’m saying is that there is no way Kat could have looked at Phil, past, present OR future, and been happy with what she saw. She has been visibly uncomfortable there since day one and the fact that she went from being responsible for her own issues to being essentially a mother figure to Dark speaks volumes. I kinda want to gauge a female reaction to see if this is something that ANYONE would ever want.

Do you remember the period of time between the Leanna breakup reveal and the point he let everyone in on the news he had a new ladyfriend? He must have gained 30lbs and copped to have been drinking way too much at night, shambling about the house booze blind and not wanting to get out of bed in the afternoon - ehm DSP's morning. I think phil noticed that even his fans started to question why a single 30 something needed a house all to themselves. so he needed another living person in the house to make his begging relevant. I think he found Khat on some dating site, flashed some cash (like how phil acts when somebody calls him broke during a stream or when he tried to call out tev) she's white trash and just came along. For anyone having doubts about if Kat has told DSP about her past, and specifically the stuff about getting pulled over and having been in a mental health institution, the most interesting part is how he reacted to that particular troll tip:

By reacting the way he did, he clearly revealed he is fully aware of Kat's past in this regard. He doesn't read out the message, he calls the tipper an asshole and, most importantly, an insulting prick. If he hadn't been aware of Kat getting pulled over for driving without a license and checking herself into a mental health clinic, in no way this tip would've been insulting to anyone.

Extremely specific, revealing and a bit autisic? Sure.

She didn’t really have many other options other than moving in with him. She was seeing him on the side, why is anyone’s guess. But then Jeff found out, and kicked her to the curb. Based on what we know about her past, she probably isn’t close to her family, and considering how awkward she is, she might not have had any friends. Even she did, she could only live with them for so long before she’s became too much of a burden.

Then comes sugar daddy Phil. Come with me and I’ll buy you a new phone, new clothes, put you on my insurance, my plan. He basically adopted her. To damaged girl, at rock bottom, with low self esteem, he must have seemed like a godsend. But I don’t believe she loves him, and when a she meets another man, a real man, with a real job, who treats her as more than just a cooking, cleaning, vagina, she will gallop off into the sunset with him holding her reigns.
