IS it that hard to believe though? I'm not sure how Youtube "works", but Phil is the epitome of advertiser unfriendly, and he hasn't been able to crack a million views a month for half a year now.

I mean, maybe. My assumption is basically 1) Phil lies, 2) if it had been this low previously we would have heard it a lot more, and 3) late Fall into Christmas is prime ad-time, so I doubt very much his CPM was below $1 then. My guess, as before, is that it dropped after Christmas (and maybe his week of not uploading did something) and is now less than $1. So it's technically true, but irrelevant to the previous year.

Yea he would. After losing the first chair sponsorship he felt defeated. He needed to do something to make it look like “he won”.

I mean come on. Another chair company (no name at that) magically appeared after he lost the first one and conveniently sent him a chair? That doesn’t add up. He bought it. That’s why he didn’t care when they went out of business. Plus his “sponsor link” was a link that literally anyone could get.

How can anyone stand to watch him as long as he's constantly making those horrific noises? An honest question tbh. I really don’t get how anyone can stomach this guy as an actual streamer, my personal lore is that 95% of his fanbase have never tuned into anyone besides him and he’s spent years shitting on every other content creator to make sure they don’t go anywhere else.

Like I literally cannot think of any quality Dave possesses that makes him genuinely worth tuning into compared to any other streamer. I really do think if he took a month off or something half his fanbase would just move on because they went somewhere else and realized how fucking weird dave is.

You should note that this was actually the 2nd time he fell. The first time was when he went off the side of the tall structure that didn't have a ladder. That took about half health. Then he climbed up the ladder to complete it, got to the top, and promptly failed to go back down the ladder, killing himself.

1st fall, he tried to climb down a side without any ladder. After falling and losing about half health, he climbed the ladder, completed it to the top, and then somehow fucked up trying to climb down the ladder, fell again, and died.

for those that don't know
in minecraft, as long as you're "in" the airblock in front of the ladder you're climbing, you're technically attached to it and will slowly go down
it sounds like phil just kept walking forward while going down the ladder

also he could have eaten something to heal up before risking fucking up going down a ladder again.
i'm going to have to watch this sometime

There are a lot of "scam-sponsorships" out there where the ads for it will say something like "Buy one chair and get sponsored by our company"
