There's also the threat of public shaming. If he went around denouncing you as a mean TERF who calls him, an innocent transwoman, creepy (like he did with Meghan Murphy and other feminists on Twitter), he could convince all your SJW friends to cut off contact with you. And if you're a good supportive ally, you'll have already ditched any other friends who've been called terves, so that could mean losing your whole friends circle. It's the same sort of dynamic that keeps people in cults even after they've stopped believing in their shit.
It makes it extra fun to see him getting publicly shamed for being a nonce.

I'm pretty sure "noMAP" actually refers to a "no contact" MAP, AKA a pedophile who claims to 1.) not be actively molesting children and 2.) be of the opinion that molesting children is bad. So, no, the term still refers to pedophiles. Basically, if you encounter anyone who uses the term "MAP" in any sort of context with any sort of variant, don't trust that person around your children.

I'm kind of surprised that Yaniv doesn't call himself a MAP, given that it can grant woke points in certain parts of SJ circles.

I'm just assuming that it's not big enough yet and it will just appear over time, but who really knows. Googling his name brings up many results that show who he really is, so I doubt the page is getting censored or anything. If that was happening, the other pages would be gone aswell.

JY's restricted his DMCAs to mostly images, but just as Null has asserted he is free to use them on KF and over streams, the same reasoning would apply that he's free to use them there. Null has stated Fair Use includes satire/commentary (SNL rule), transformative work and thumbnail sketches.

The one that Jonathan Yaniv issued to @Null regarding his YT on 12/26 involved a thumbnail, which is explicitly covered according to this Stanford University document on fair use. (Other reasons are also discussed there.) This document points out that someone MUST legally consider fair use before issuing a DMCA takedown. Null addressed this with Yaniv during the livestream 12/26, and no, Yaniv did not say he'd taken it into consideration.

Yeah didn't he just say picturesofmydisgustingfatshellarenotavailableforfairuseyoullhearfrommylawyerdonthurtme and hang up? It sounded like he thinks he can just decide for himself what photos can be used for. Has he tried DMCAing any photos which weren't even taken by him? Like ones by photographers at a tech con or something?

I'd be very surprised if he actually had a lawyer as well, if he did they'd have advised him to stop fucking DMCAing everything he sees. Also he only makes like $400 a year and half of that is in dildos, apparently.
