It's the long term effect of being pushed to do inherently female things by society on the masochistic mind. Fetishes are psychological. There are probably also a good deal of chicks there who trooned out because they couldn't handle being a woman, and they'll be detransitioners as soon as they stumble across radfems. Nobody ever really wants to troon out on this side unless they're the kind of psycho who freaks out at the concept of doing anything remotely feminine. I know, hence the "there is no guarantee they wouldn't have evolved into full-blown autogynephiles without it" part. The OP talks about having such fantasies before discovering pornography, so he probably would have turned out to be one sooner or later. On a societal level, sure. On the family level, no. When are you going to get married? When are you going to give me some grandbabies? When are you going to give your nephews some little cousins to play with? You shouldn't have to work, why can't you get a nice boyfriend to take care of that for you?

Despite the beliefs people claim to have, this kind of guilt tripping isn't uncommon, even from relatives who were themselves "liberated women". That's not even considering families from cultures where women's liberation was never or barely a thing to begin with... Plenty of cis women also have these kind of fantasies but it's especially common among FTM because it's something so strongly undesirable to them that it becomes an ultimate form of degradation and humiliation. Saying that it must be their secret reality is like saying the huge number of women who have a rape fantasy actually want to be raped. Masochistic fetishism doesn't correlate to true desires.
