I'm not going to claim that "POC" who happen to live in poorer neighborhoods aren't affected by illnesses or diseases. People who live in shitty areas tend to pick up shitty diseases whether due to a poor diet or an overall poor quality with their environment.
However.... they do realize that a lot of "POC" happen to live in cities, right? For example, Detroit, Michigan has the largest city full of Black people in the U.S. and the source I found talks about Nitrogen coming from large amount of vehicle traffic:
That doesn't make air racist or the people who choose to move to better places with less pollution racist. Generally, living in a place with a lot of pollution isn't good for your health. But instead of not smoking or actually just taking a walk, these statistics (misused quotes) are taken so out of context to make white people look bad.

This is what annoys me about the SJ movement and the new wave of 'liberals' in general like...There is a point somewhere in these statistics, about classism and the poor living standards of lots of people in America, and about how ethnic minorities are often poorer, but nah, let's disregard all that, THE AIR IS RACIST AND YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD. They don't want to talk about classism bc they're all privileged middle class shitlords, so they pretend that only black people are affected by pollution.
Idk, a lot of farmers won't agree with me here, but I think the real tragedy of SJ is how it takes legitimate problems and turns them into...this. It means even lefties like me end up turning away from the movement, bc this is ridiculous and anyone with basic critical thinking skills can see it

If there's one thing that gets my goat, it's people who claim to care about class differences and then use it to only talk about black people. If you want to act like you're a paragon of justice and compassion to the poor, then I better see some wank pieces for the white "rednecks" in the Appalachians, who live in such extreme poverty that soda is cheaper to drink than water, coming out real soon.

It's a real shame. I do see the value in having "allies" so to speak. Human are aggressively social creatures. We crave being able to communicate with another and with that we form the structure of our society. I can understand the appeal of wanting to reach out to others in order to help a cause. Numbers are a powerful thing when used efficiently.
But...this isn't about that. Being an ally isn't just reblogging/retweeting shit to get asspats. You need to get shit done...and that's hard. So instead of focusing on actual issues, the entire point is to walk on eggshells and force others to correct their speech in fear of be shamed. That's not being an activist or ally. That's being a mouthpiece for a group of people that barely even care about you and constantly spew hatred.

Many of these allies had strategies and actual plans that were meant to aid the movement. Rosa Parks boycott? All apart of a strategic move. She wasn't even the first one to do it. (Check out Claudette Colvin).
The point I'm trying to make? Being an ally takes actual time and commitment that these people don't want to put in. Until I see someone on twitter talking about helping people overseas, donating, or even attending events for the cause, I refuse to believe they did anything.
