I didn't realize she wrote it about HER and Jontron. I legit thought it would be Jontron and faceless, nameless narrator, written from a first person perspective. Not that it would be any less cringy but my god.

The original text was (Y/N) for "your name." I just replaced those instances with "Harriet" since it's obviously just one of her fantasies anyway.

I wonder if they do actually have an obsession with sex, or if they're faking in a poor attempt to emulate others.

I think media shows them what they think is societies idea of the "popular girl." Basically every female celeb is sexualized to some degree, so the autist thinks sex = popularity.

However because they are still autistic, they emulate it with the grace and subtlety of a bull in a china shop

I think its a mix. They have some sexuality but none of the social skills to express it, and none of the social grace that leads them to have normal experiences growing up. it leaves them totally unprepared for adult relationships.

most probably aren't obsessed with sexuality, but they don't know how to express their sexual interests in a subtle way. it's an all or nothing autism thing not tempered by an understanding of what shame is.

so then they reach adulthood and want to have an adult relationship but they don't know how to date or how to have serious conversations with a partner and they don't know how to navigate personal boundaries with a partner and they don't know when or how to be ashamed and keep their mouth shut.
