Social Justice Warriors - Now With Less Feminism Sperging

Men commit the vast majority of violent and sexual crime.

I see you've never heard of gender symmetry in domestic violence. Women actually commit as many offenses as men; men are simply more likely to be prosecuted and/or convicted, especially in mutual-combat situations.

Women also get off the hook for sexual assaults on men and other women a lot. Something something "it's not rape if you enjoyed it, and I know I'd have enjoyed it so of course you did" or "lesbians are hot and rape's not rape if it's hot" or even the infuriating "women can't rape, it's just not possible".

But sure, all crimes are prosecuted and all convictions are for actual crimes, therefore men are violent and women have no responsibility for failing to teach their sons not to rape or whatever.

I don't disagree, but it was more to highlight the idea of "what they teach is important" as opposed to just suggesting that men are better than women.

You're more likely to learn colors, shapes, and other "easy" stuff from a woman and engineering, law, ethics, business, science, and medicine from a man. Regardless of whatever implications that brings.

@AnOminous likely went to law school (and maybe even a good one) and the things he learned there probably shaped his person more than whatever he learned from female teachers in 3rd grade. This is statistically the experience for all college-graduated people that gets more probable the more educated they are.

I agree. But to get to college you need to go trough all the other first. Men have worse grades than women before they get to college, so there's more woman getting to college in the first place.

I'd disagree with your last point, while you might learn more from your bachelors degree than from kindergarten, the earlier stages play a bigger role in someone's development since you're literally a toddler at that age. Role models play a smaller role as you grow up IMO

It'll be my last derail on this, but you could make an argument that during your formative years that a teacher is less likely to be your role model and have less input on your growth than parents, friends, other family members, coaches, television personalities, etc and that narrows down substantially when you're an adult learning a career and building a life.

While it’s depressing that boys need to be taught not to rape, there are projects which have good success rates in doing so, such as this one: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/amp/education-43466365

Perhaps one day we won’t need to actively teach men not to. I live in hope, and until then will go back to rolling my eyes at woke yarn girls (perhaps knitting one’s own hair shirt and scourge will be the in thing for 2019?)

Gillete goes woke?

Thirty years ago, we launched our The Best A Man Can Get tagline.

Since then, it has been an aspirational statement, reflecting standards that many men strive to achieve.

But turn on the news today and it’s easy to believe that men are not at their best. Many find themselves at a crossroads, caught between the past and a new era of masculinity. While it is clear that changes are needed, where and how we can start to effect that change is less obvious for many. And when the changes needed seem so monumental, it can feel daunting to begin. So, let’s do it together.

It’s time we acknowledge that brands, like ours, play a role in influencing culture. And as a company that encourages men to be their best, we have a responsibility to make sure we are promoting positive, attainable, inclusive and healthy versions of what it means to be a man. With that in mind, we have spent the last few months taking a hard look at our past and coming communication and reflecting on the types of men and behaviors we want to celebrate. We’re inviting all men along this journey with us – to strive to be better, to make us better, and to help each other be better.

From today on, we pledge to actively challenge the stereotypes and expectations of what it means to be a man everywhere you see Gillette. In the ads we run, the images we publish to social media, the words we choose, and so much more.

As part of The Best Men Can Be campaign, Gillette is committing to donate $1 million per year for the next three years to non-profit organizations executing programs in the United States designed to inspire, educate and help men of all ages achieve their personal “best” and become role models for the next generation.

Our tagline needs to continue to inspire us all to be better every day, and to help create a new standard for boys to admire and for men to achieve… Because the boys of today are the men of tomorrow.
This is what happens when companies cash in on the popularity of a social media movement lmfao.

People already know not to rape. But, rapists are sociopaths that don't give a shit, and do it anyway, knowing it's wrong.

Everyone in Ted Bundy's life could have told him murder was wrong, and he would have still done it. Same goes for a rapist.

Murder is not something people can easily do without even realizing they've done it, though. Sometimes younger people who aren't very sexually experienced do very stupid things to each other. I think dismissing all rapists as sociopaths overlooks the opportunity to try and teach kids about how to avoid making some huge mistake that ends up haunting them.

I'm not particularly fond of remakes myself, but since when are white Americans the only people who remake films and TV series? https://twitter.com/uItmarkson/status/1084624900533436416View attachment 639387Oh, and don't you dare make a joke about a Japanese woman saying you should ideally keep less than 30 books. That makes you a RACIST https://twitter.com/ElloEllenOh/status/1084807977633230854

I cant be the only one who laughed at "making chinky eyes is not funny"

Goes off on someone for calling someone else a monster, then says chinky. She should have said eyes of Asian decent

Koreaboos are really stupid. When Weaboos whine about western remakes, it's usually because they think they're going to be shit. Koreaboos are offended by the mere thought of their uwu smol boi being replaced by someone else. Doesn't even have to be white, Hollywood loves to stick random minorities all over the place.

When Fox announced The Masked Singer, a bunch of them started screeching about white people, how it's just a copy and other autism. Fox licensed the Korean format. Literally every country makes regional versions of popular foreign TV shows.

These idiots legitimately thought someone would dub a concert movie because one random theater chain mistakenly said it would be on Twitter. It didn't matter that every other one said it wouldn't be. It didn't matter that all of this band's other shit was presented subtitled.

Gillete are owned by proctor and gamble who are complete bastards in terms of child labour and Gillete are a pretty scummy company once you pull the thread. Fun fact Gillete womens products tend to be more expensive than the dudes because they know they can get away with it.

If gillete thought their was a 1% profit margin/net benifit in it for them they'd have a 20 minute seminar on how to use the razors for an imprompto female circumcision with a follow up speech about making sure the whores know their place.

A fool goes to a corporation for morality. your basic humanity is a sales pitch to them.

While agree that they are shitty Gillete womens products cost more because they cost more to produce, they could have it at the same price and a smaller profit margin, but prefer not to.

How transphobic. How do you know they won't troon out? Maybe the boys of today are the women of tomorrow, shitlord.

I suspect the mark up isnt even proportional to the differance. Say putting the womens product costs 00.03 more to make per unit. You know they're going to rank the cost up to 00.50.

Then again is that dude razor really worth $12 because it has a 'cool' name?

Men buy substantially more razors than women do. Not sure "men bad" is the best way to go with your advertising campaign.

They're perfectly willing to exploit the vogue flavour of the week but they'll go back to absurd manly men shit like calling a razorsblade the max power, turbo thrust or some such cringey gay shit when this is all over, it's just a pr stunt and they know no one really cares.

EDIT-as a side note the stuff they show in the video as "boys will be boys" is the tamest shit imaginable. It says more about them they consider a bit of wrestling comparitable to the weird psychotic shit which is usually filled under "boys will be boys."
