Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

They made some animated series which I haven't watched, but on a podcast with h3h3 they said that the plot is a dystopian future specifically because of Donald Trump and there was something about cutting off Donald Trump Jr's penis or something. Again, I haven't seen it, I just listened to the podcast in the background and they were talking about it.

So many goddamn comedians with dat TDS. Even though he thinks people are blowing it out of proportion and he doesn't think he's that bad, and I know this is kind of old, but does anyone remember in Bill Burr's standup special where he just flatout states "Donald Trump is a racist." Just out of nowhere?

"God promised that He would never again drown the world under the salt sea--for there would be no need. The election of Donald Trump caused man human persynkynd to break open the floodgates on their own, and the salt tears of the SJWs covered the face of the Earth..."

...No?

No. Got a video? And speaking of comedians with TDS who have fallen, has Louis CK devolved into a Moore replicant yet? Or does he no longer care about Trump after having his life and career ruined after the whole jerking thing?

Sorry, if this is what I have to fucking resort to, but he says it at 4:12 with nothing really to back it up. He has a decent routine about the Wall though before that.

There's no word for how Islamic that is. That's from a fucking celebrity. Apparently, TDS deters the quality of your work as well. It affects your health, it affects your work, it affects your sex life, it affects your dignity, it affects your life, it affects your children, what's next? Do you manifest yourself into a Trump-looking minion and become what you hate like we're in the fucking Twilight Zone or some shit? Oy!

So is there a consensus at what point merely disliking Trump becomes TDS?

It is fine to dislike Trump, but it becomes TDS when you dislike Trump for stupid reasons that are not backed up by evidence and you allow yourself to become impacted by it throughout your life and believe anything that is made to hate Trump.

It's kinda like porn, you know it when you see it. There's plenty of reasons to dislike Trump, but it's when the hate gets a little hypocritical is when it becomes TDS.

He's a playboy, he's crude, he hasn't kept many campaign promises, he supported the bump stock ban. I'm sure there's more but I can't be assed to think about anything right now as I've hardly slept.

But a lot of what the Democrats attack him for, there's examples of on their side. The Hillary campaign colluded with a foreign agent to dig up research, Hillary oversaw the sale of American uranium to Russia, Hillary ran an illegal email server in a bathroom closet for the purposes of evading FOIA requests. Obama gave money to Iran, Obama kept wars going in the Middle East and bombed American and foreign civilians, Obama ran guns to the Mexican cartels which lead to guns being used in mass shootings both on the border and in Europe.

Fair enough. I personally would have no problem with every living president except maybe carter being in jail, I have plenty of hate to spread around.

I think a reverse TDS thread of people who overreact to every perceived insult of Trump would be interesting, but I’m not the guy to make it.

It's the exact moment when your criticism is not rooted in reality.

You want to say Trump is a shitposter? That's a fair assessment. That he's rude? Well, ok. Inelegant? Sure!

But to suggest that he's going to bring about the Apocalypse when his major milestones have been removing a ton of US Troops from areas they don't need to be in, bringing North Korea to the negotiating table and getting North and South Korea to talk for the first time in nearly 40 years. He additionally (currently) is giving more money to the average American citizen via tax savings and lower gas prices. Trump is one of the most diplomatic presidents we've had in a while and is a drastic change of pace from Barack "Drone Strike American Citizens and Foreign Children" Obama.

I'm not going to suggest that everyone should like Trump - he's very much a polarizing figure, clearly. But you shouldn't hate anyone to a point where it makes you work against your own self interest as a human being (Example - Disliking Donald Trump so much as a person who dislikes war by getting upset about the Syrian troop withdrawal).

For me it's when the criticism of Trump comes across as really hypocritical (i.e. Hating Trump for bringing home the troops while complaining how he didn't do it before that) or not rooted in reality (i.e. The Russia collusion).

For me I like Trump but I dislike with some of the stuff he posted on Twitter that comes across as unnecessary like getting mad how SNL makes fun of him when SNL has made fun of previous presidents before, and only acknowledging them just gives them the attention they want. I also dislike how Trump appointed Ajit Pai, and his lack of knowledge on Internet issues (though that's an issue I have with most political figures anyway).

The point where any hate becomes illogical in nature. You can dislike his policies and that's fine. You can hate him for his brash personality or for being rich. Whatever, it's your feelings on it.
But when you hate him for every little thing he does, scrutinizing him at ever twist and turn, staying up at night "worrying" about what he's doing, letting this whole line of thinking effect you in your daily life and your decisions, that's when it begins to go too far.
Doubly so when you go against his policy on principle of hating him instead of being logical. It's like cutting off your right leg because he said his right leg is his favorite leg; that's not healthy nor logical in response to his words.

The logical thing to do with Trump's action most of the time? Roll your eyes or laugh. Sometimes he does stupid shit or say stupid shit but when you act like a fucking 10 year old every time he does, one can wonder who's the dumb one: Trump, rich real-estate mogul who is a brand in himself and is now President of the United States of America, or the TDS sufferer, convinced he's a dumbass to the nth degree and that he'll bring about the apocalypse (any day now!) and is actively destroying America.

The government always pays, and if you land one of these contracts its money that comes in on schedule for years. And if you make a product that exceeds the government's very easy to hit reliability standards, you profit.

One of the most important aspects to Navy contracts, and one very rarely touched on by our vigilant media, is the state of American shipbuilding. Shipyards are in pretty dire straits nowadays. Fewer ships being built means a lot fewer jobs building them.

Why should we care? Well, shipyards are located in pretty economically depressed areas, and these are well-paying jobs. The trickle-down effects are enormous. More jobs at the shipyard means more jobs in retail, in service industries, and more. The shipyards in southern Mississippi and northern Florida, for example, are hiring thousands of people in the next few years. And these jobs pay middle-class wages. Suddenly one of the most moribund economies in America is revving like a race car. More local tax revenue, just to show one result, means more money for schools, more money for hospitals, more money for local infrastructure. Of course, Dems want these contracts torn up. Because the military is icky and Mississippi and north Florida vote red, so fuck them. I guess they'd rather have coastal Mississippi's economy built on gambling and Pensacola's economy built on absolutely nothing rather than let those hicks actually improve their lives a little bit. Actual jobs for the working class? Fuck that noise.
