Arin Hanson / Egoraptor / Grump - "Hey I'm Grump!" of Game Grumps fame, hypocritical SJW doxer, shat himself recording a let's play

This thread is going to be a long one (or I could be wrong) because we have years worth of video of Arin being an idiot to look into if we want to (seriously I recommend having them because you know when the money dries up the stuff will be deleted)

Makes you wonder how big the nest egg is that Arin and Suzy have. If there's a nest egg. It's possible that they fucked up by not saving their money like so many other Youtuber's.

KH pretty much tells you where to go, Arin beat it before, and they played on Normal mode.
your probably right for twilight princess at most if we take arin at his word he has played It at least once which sounds impressive and eybrow raising worthy til you consider that he played majora mask and ocarina of time at least 3 to 5 times more and we all know how those 2 turned out

A video with Weird Al as a guest, and they still haven't hit 1 million views yet.

Meanwhile Jon get over 10 million for whoring out to flex tape.

It must burn Arin that Jon gets Millions of views for one video, goes quiet for a year and then comes back out just to get the hype back. Game Grumps doesn't even break a million views. Tis sad.

They dump 2-3 videos a day that collectively get about a million views. It's the same strategy that DarksydePhil used. I don't think Arin cares that much and if he did it would look like this:

Big question is when (not if) Danny leaves and if Arin will try to continue the Game Grump brand as a solo act.

If Danny left Arin would just immediately replace him with someone else, same as when Jontron left. Even if he was egotistical enough to think he could carry the show solo he's lazy enough to not even try it.

I think the fans, as autistic as most of them are, would reject that. They fiercely rejected Danny at first and took a long while to warm up to him. I don't think the fan base could do it again.

With past BS and things happening almost on the daily on the Grumps front; I can believe it.

I've seen the tour video of their current "office" and they easily spent around $100K in bullshit.

At least when money gets real tight and the fans can no longer support them with their own meager funds, Arin will have ample junk to sell off to keep his 'friends' on the pay roll.

Grumps have some episodes that are over 1mil views - though most of those are the 10mph eps (and even those aren't many and took months to reach).

Here's hoping Dan's departure is sooner rather than later (I like the guy and firmly believe Grumps is holding him back, at this point).

As for who would replace Dan when he leaves? One of the Super Mega guys, most likely (they're hip to the kiddies - being kids, themselves). Or Suzy; seeing how often she appears on 10mph eps and Arin pushing her merch on his channel.

Haven't the Game Grumps gained like 1-2 million subs since Danny joined?
I imagine those are the most active fanbase now. And they only know Arin and Danny. And Danny is the only entertaining one out of the two.
So if he left, yes, it would be a huge blow for the channel - not because of fans complaining, but of fans simply leaving because there's nothing left to watch Arin for.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is something Dan is very much aware of and why he sticks around - he doesn't want his friend's channel to sink. Either that, or Dan feels obligated to stick around because he feels he owes Arin the world for giving him and Brian the opportunity to have a job that would still allow them to focus on their music career (which has picked up exponentially since joining Grumps).

However, looking at it from the outside perspective - it honestly comes off looking like a very unhealthy relationship; what with Dan sticking around with the toxic environment that Grumps headquarters has become and putting his own reputation at risk just so he can avoid hurting Arin's feelings (Dan sadly comes off looking like a doormat due to being so non confrontational/supporting Arin's more questionable idea. Can't convince me Dan has been 100% in agreement with everything they do).

I just did a quick check, in the past 5 months they had 14 videos reach 1 million views, one was a GG animated, one was an actual GG episode and another was the apology video, The rest were power hours.

It's still quite striking how they have nearly 5 million subscribers but around 90-95% of their audience do not watch the videos.

I think most people stay subscribed just to watch them play games they like or are interested in, or at least that’s the only reason I can come up with.

I think the biggest downfall for the Game Grumps channel is the sheer amount of videos they put out. It’s three videos per day, I think, usually about 15 minutes or longer for oneshots or big games. Uploading to Youtube daily causes burnout fast. I’m not sure what their schedule is like now but I remember sometimes Jon and Arin would start filming around noon and wouldn’t stop until 9 am the next day. Most of the popular channels you see now record batches of gameplay every few days, and then cut out any uninteresting parts to make a good 20-30 minute video, and those do great. GG hasn’t and won’t update their formula, so instead their subscribers get 100+ episodes of the same clips of Arin running in circles and yelling about the game being terrible since he didn’t read where to go. He’s the child who wishes they could play video games for a living and now that he actually does that he fucking hates it.

I really tried to hang on to Game Grumps for a while, hoping it’d get better, but I finally let it go when they played Super Mario Maker. Every episode was Arin playing levels with less than 10% pass rates, taking five steps, and screeching when he died. It never gets funny. You can hear in his voice how much he’s faking his rage for views and it’s infuriating. That old clip of him blowing up at Sonic 06 got incredibly popular and it’s easy to tell he’s still trying to ride on it, thinking yelling earns views.

Honestly at this point I’m just waiting for Arin to piss off the right person and have all the truth come flowing.

Oh, their schedule changed recently due to 'burn out'.

Monday: One game episode. 10mph
Tuesday: One game episode. Livestreaming
Wednesday: One game episode. Game Grumps Animated short
Thursday: One game episode. Game Grumps compilation
Friday: One game episode. Free slot (so far - that free slot has been reserved for peddling merch).
Saturday/Sunday: Two game episodes.

You can find the video here (it's actually pretty cringe worthy how scripted it is; the whole 'we don't want to fire our friends' has Arin's writing all over it - given his habit of hiring those he deems his friends) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPz22O-gp4Q

Trivia: originally, Arin was going to hire Chris O'neil AKA OneyNG to be his lackey but Chris refused. So Arin went with Dan instead.

Despite the job of co-host allowing him and Brian to focus more on their music career, I would not be surprised if Dan occasionally secretly regrets his decision in accepting Arin's job offer. If you think about, Dan's caught between a rock and a hard place - leave, and he looks like an inconsiderate/selfish prick for 'abandoning' Arin in his time of need (not to mention getting a healthy dose of the negative backlash JonTron received when he left). Stick around, and he looks like a disinterested/spineless co-host who enables Arin's BS behavior/comments/decisions.

And this - ladies and gentlemen - is why you never work for friends.

Unlikely, I'm not sure where I read it but I read somewhere they spent a shitload of money on useless crap like toys and geeky shit
I've seen the tour video of their current "office" and they easily spent around $100K in bullshit.
They blew their money on an expensive house and a bunch of useless shit. They saved nothing to near nothing because they didn't foresee the gravy train running out.

I feel like he played them, meaning he picked up the controller or chilled with someone else who played, but no game that I have completed do I play as bad as they play almost everything they "played" before. Maybe played, but definitely he never completed those games.

Big question is when (not if) Danny leaves and if Arin will try to continue the Game Grump brand as a solo act.
From what I understand Dan needed a job and became dependant on Arin, which based on what we know of Jon leaving it was because Arin made solo decisions and Jon just had to deal with it, which he didn't like being treated like a useless nobody on the show he carried.

So with Dan needing a place to stay and Arin looking to increase the not-Arin-based-content on the channel, they planned to bring Dan and Ross on, but ended up bringing Dan on for regular grump episodes as well.

He'll find someone else he can control.

It's going to be one Hell of a wake up call when the Grumps channel finally dies and Arin has to face the consequences of his actions/choices (assuming he hasn't wisely invested any of his earnings for emergency situations, that is).

He'd probably expect Dan and/or Brian to take him in when he goes bankrupt (you know, as added pay back for helping them out when they were struggling).
