So I have an interesting story to relate. Earlier today, one of the busy editors on Lolcow Wiki alerted me to some....
Suspicious behavior by one of the accounts on it. Up until this point, the account in question has mostly been doing minor edits, usually quite constructively - adding new data, fixing broken links, all that kind of thing.
For two weeks. Then the gloves came off and they started going whole hog for a very different kind of editing: namely, changing lolcow pages in order to redirect them towards their assumed identity, removing deadnames, and starting to redact things that are sort of dead give-aways for a certain ideological mindset:
It all came to a head this morning, however, when they put
this fucking thing at the top of the Stephanie Cianfriglia article:
.....And began suggesting we use Steph's Nymself pronouns.
Oh, and the comment says a lot when it comes to the template they made for this:
Gee, I wonder who this might be.
All indication is that this is coming from the user
@Novakslovak, who has literally posed zero messages or posts on the Farms; their entire work so far has been wiki-based. They have the same join date as this user as well. I'm planning to block them later today, since they're pretty readily causing hostile edits, but before I do I want to see if we can find out if this is really Steph doing so under a sock account because that would be a fantastic addition to her thread.
Do we have any ability to IP trace? I'm not technically staff anymore.
