It's going to be one Hell of a wake up call when the Grumps channel finally dies and Arin has to face the consequences of his actions/choices (assuming he hasn't wisely invested any of his earnings for emergency situations, that is).

Brian still does stuff outside of NSP, he does Ninja Brian's Luau Spectacular and he's been invited to speak at different conventions. NSP is blowing up right now though, I don't see them slowing down if they keep the cover albums rolling. I've been a fan of NSP since the start, even before Danny was on Grumps. Their production quality has skyrocketed, they're working with other bands (Even if they are smaller, like TWRP) and they sell out their shows. I could see them both getting too old for dick humor at some point, though.

Brian may have already reached that point. He used to run the social media part of Grumps, but that has sinced passed down to Allie. Not sure what he does for the Grumps, nowadays.

Agreed tenfold, also I guarantee he didn't outright buy the house but just made some downpayment on it from the money he hadn't blown, so he'll lose his home as well.

I think most people stay subscribed just to watch them play games they like or are interested in, or at least that’s the only reason I can come up with.

As a subscriber, I only watch the episodes where they're playing a game that I like and have played, or if they're playing something that looks interesting (P.T., Inside, Guts and Glory). Sometimes, days or weeks will go by without me watching any new content if they're playing games I'm not into. I will admit that I was disappointed that they gave up on the game Raft after just two episodes, since I can think of at least two other let's players who stuck with it and ended up building some really impressive boats. Whereas, Arin couldn't stop Bruce the shark from eating parts of his raft, and he kept going despite his character getting sick from not eating or drinking (claiming not to know how to catch fish or find fresh water) until he finally threw a fit and quit playing.

Could you imagine Arin trying to tackle something like Cities: Skylines?

I finally let it go when they played Super Mario Maker.

The Super Mario Maker episodes were, as I mentioned before, my introduction to the Grumps, and that series started to get more interesting once they stopped playing the troll levels designed by Ross and Jirard and started trying out levels that were genuinely complex and creative. And for someone who gets a lot of crap for quitting games because he either refuses to play them right, or won't read instructions, Arin really was playing some of those levels over and over until he finally beat them, even when Dan was practically begging him to please take a break for a while.

Recording:release schedule was a problem with some late Jongrumps, but it's a huge problem with Grumps after Dan came in. They record a shitton in one day and parse it out for weeks. It's possible to do, but especially with them doing live playing + commentary + generally poor management it makes jokes wear out faster and even more fucking annoying when they accomplish nothing.

I'm surprised they basically never stream games. Paid subscriptions on Twitch (and the new feature of gifting paid subscriptions, as well as payment tiers of up to $25 a month), direct engagement with chat, etc. Plenty of people stream on twitch almost every single day for hours at a time and have done so for years, and it still works and they keep people as subs for 2+ years.

I think Arin is scared of trying to change their format or...showing what he's like in real time, regularly, directly engaging with fans. Spoopy for a piece of shit human being used to only doing youtube videos. Hey, be thankful he managed to jump from Newgrounds!

I think the jump from newgrounds was just so he could more easily copyright strike/dmca people reuploading his awesome series on YT. He was super tilted about that.

Also as far as jumping to twitch, he'll do it precisely when it becomes the lowest threshold of work feasible to maintain himself.

I have a feeling that Arin/Game Grumps don't do Twitch stream because there's no way to edit out anything ''problematic' they might say/do from a live stream. If they were just catering to SJWs themselves they'd be hitting a super small crowd, but modern cucked fags online? I can't believe they haven't understood that you can't win with these people. I don't doubt Dan can land a girlfriend(s); the question comes down to whether they're hooking up with him because they genuinely like him as a person or if they're drawn to the popularity/money he has (regrettably for him, it's probably the latter and he's too much of an insecure doorknob to tell the difference. ).

The moment you start catering to their demands; it never ends - as there's always going to be something the SJWs are going to be offended by, no matter how hard you try to avoid triggering them. Case in point, Arin's sudden toxic feminist leanings (namely - women should be put on pedestals) or avoiding certain words (like 'crazy' or 'zambo') because hyper sensitive fans supposedly emailed him to tell him those words were offensive (one was disrespectful to people with mental illness and the other sounded vaguely racist).

I'll have to admit, i enjoyed their Guts & Glory (But they could skip all the "dad?" jokes, that turned pretty fricking grating) and when they duke it out on Monopoly. But i am starting aswell to feel jaded towards the Grumps. It's speculation, but I think his divorce coupled with the fact that he was basically Arin' butt monkey and 'lowest man on the totem pole' made him step away from it and become another Shadow Grump. A SG if you will.
