I am getting a lot of positive feedback for this thread being up. A lot of people can’t seem to find a discussion for this topic that is grounded in reasonable emotions, and that is frustrating for them. They have the entire World Wide Web at their fingertips, but can’t find a forum that seems grounded in reality.

That’s why I’m very happy to help make this an informative, funny and thoughtful topic. Please let me know if I can improve the OP by the way.

Update: Here is an introduction of all this from the perspective of one of the students who was there.
Hello Local 12 News. At the present time, I have an urgent request that truly is of the utmost importance, a request that supersedes my entire being and applies to the integrity of all Americans. You have probably seen or heard of the video of students wearing MAGA gear supposedly "harassing," "bothering," and "jeering at" a Native American veteran. This is not true and taken entirely out of context. I am a student at Covington Catholic and was present at the occurrence. Here is what truly happened:

Every year, my school attends the March for Life in DC and afterward tours the city. Our chaperones and teachers told us to be at the Lincoln Memorial at 5:30 to be ready for the buses to pick us up. 5:30 came around and we were all gathered at the Memorial. As we are an all-male school that loves to get hyped up (hence our cheer section's name, "Colonel Crazies"), and as we have done for years prior, we decided to do some cheers to pass time. In the midst of our cheers, we were approached by a group of adults led by Nathan Phillips, with Phillips beating his drum. They forced their way into the center of our group.

We initially thought this was a cultural display since he was beating along to our cheers, and so we clapped to the beat. He came to stand in front of one of my classmates who stood where he was, smiling and enjoying the experience. However, after multiple minutes of Mr. Phillips beating his drum directly in the face of my friend (mere centimeters from his nose), we became confused and started wondering what was happening. It was not until later that we discovered they would incriminate us as a publicity stunt. As a result, my friend faces expulsion for simply standing still and our entire school is being disparaged for a crime we did not commit. To reiterate, we did not partake in any physical or verbal abuse, did not chant "build the wall" or mock or anything of the like, and did not seek to incite violence.

After that initial occurrence, we were then verbally assaulted by four or five African-American men who called us "faggots" and berated one of our African-American students for being friends with us. The truth needs to come out. I pray that you read this and can speak for us who are silenced by the media. Here is video evidence of Nathan Phillips approaching the group of Covington Catholic students, showing that we did not approach him but he approached us(https://twitter.com/i/status/1086681831804674048); the later half of the occurrence showing Phillips' group inciting debates as well as harassment of the students by another group; and a second video of the harassment of students (https://twitter.com/i/status/1086796421226029056).

As you can see by these videos, the true story is quite different from that portrayed by the media. A great injustice has been done, and it is our duty to see that the truth prevails. Additionally, Mr. Phillips has a history of claiming racial harassment. I am by no means disparaging his credibility, but this should be taken note of.

"WASHINGTON, DC (WKYT) - A video that has been widely shared on social media has sparked outrage against a Northern Kentucky High School.

According to FOX 19, the video shows a student standing and smirking directly in front of a Native American as he drums and sings, while a larger group of students, some wearing clothing that appears to bear the insignia of Covington Catholic High School, surrounds the man, jeering and chanting.

Social media posts from people at the scene say the Native American man was participating in the Indigenous Peoples March.

Posts on Covington Catholic’s Instagram page shows students from the school were in Washington, DC at the time, participating in the March for Life. The school’s social media platforms have since been restricted.

Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes voiced her disapproval of the behavior in a tweet reading, “As we prepare to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his work to ensure equality for all through nonviolent civil disobedience sadly still applies today. Kentucky, we are better than this.”

She has also released a statement calling on Covington Catholic High School to denounce the incident.

Covington Catholic has not issued a statement at this time."

Update:
They have barely lost any steam. Still trying to doxxxxx a bunch of high school kids, Lionizing Mr. Phillips, and another reference to deep-south Dixie days.

Not pictured, but if you guys use social media to bring up any counter-narrative about Phillips’ actions toward the kids, or the overreaction toward the kids in general, I’d be very careful. They are out for blood.

The principal, the teachers, the main few spotlighted boys smirking, they have all been named and targeted. The situation is approaching nuclear.

That Indian can get fucked. That school or any organization better not let him anywhere near kids he isn't related to ever again.
Chief Lies With Dindus on muh cultural appropriation
I'm an atheist, but I'm praying to God the school don't invite that hoaxing conman to get even more exposure.

I know they are a religious school and might be tempted to turn the other cheek, but the school's first duty is to the kids and that bloke wanted to set these kids up, failed to get them to bite and then just lied anyway.

I heard on yesterday's national radio news about the Native American wanting to go to the school to discuss racism and cultural appropriation. Give me a break.

I agree the school should find a way to politely say, "Thanks, but no thanks." I'm sure any such speech this guy would give would be similar to that recent Starbucks sensitivity training that suggested all the employees were insensitive shitlords while offering SJW feel-good concepts and absolutely nothing of value.

I'd be more trusting of the school to simply draw on its faith-based roots and remind students to follow the Golden Rule as best they can. That might get more attention paid to it than some ranting lecture from a SJW about SJW buzzwords.

Rape is still literally rape even if the victim somehow enjoys it.
Rape is forced sexual intercourse, emphasis on force. If the other person LITERALLY ENJOYS the sexual intercourse, it cannot be rape. In the context of what the teen in question said (who is completely unrelated to Covington Catholic), he was told he'd be raped which he countered with "it's not rape if you enjoy it", implying he would enjoy the rough sexual intercourse from the retarded Black Israelite. He laughed the "rape threat" off with a joke.

A 17 year old high school kid with a local PR firm manages to put out a report of events that is infinitely more accurate than world famous news organisations and the MSM cry not fair.

I hope the kid puts in a good show in the interview because they'll pounce on him for the slightest slip.

You raped the Dynastia character. You're fucking shit now. You should do everyone a favour and kill it off.

Dynastia is being a really lame troll.

You are being a dickhead.

Wait, THAT'S the context of the rape comment? Do you by chance have a clip of the exchange, somehow I must have skimmed over it earlier.

It's not rape if you consent to it. It's rape if you don't consent to it, whether or not you enjoy it. Frothing twitter speds might be taking a harmless joke out of context but that doesn't mean people can just go around forcing themselves on every girl with borderline disorder and a fetlife account.

I got it from earlier in the thread, or maybe the TDS thread. It came out after the initial videos were revealed and the boys were being redeemed and the media/twitter fags had to dig up more ragebait to keep demonizing them.

It's a fucking joke. Everybody knows rape is wrong. Everybody knows rape is a bad thing that shouldn't be done, and that consent is needed.

This is Kiwi Farms, not /r/incels or r9k. We're not quite at the point where somebody pointing out that you're not allowed to rape women is 'trolling'.

I agree with you. I think the dude made a stupid comment. I think the subject of this thread, woke people who can pile on top of a kid and still think they are good people, has parallels with dudes who think they are hot studs can rape a woman and not understand that they are the bad guy.

But you used to be a funny troll, you're now a shitty troll, your troll character wasn't the one to pick him up on his shitty line.

"Phillips, in collaboration with the Indigenous Peoples March and the Lakota People’s Law Project, is also requesting a meeting with Vatican officials and Pope Francis"

Vomit.

Wait, just hours earlier he said he would NOT want to meet with them
Chief changes his mind a lot

Philippines honors Japan's Christian feudal warlord Takayama Ukon

ARTICLE HISTORY

MANILA - The Philippines on Friday honored Takayama Ukon, a Japanese feudal warlord who was exiled to the Southeast Asian country 404 years ago because he was Christian.

In marking the anniversary of the daimyo’s arrival in the Philippines on Dec. 21, 1614, the municipal government of Manila declared Dec. 21 as Takayama Ukon Day in his honor.

An agency of the Department of Tourism launched a walking tour featuring areas related to Ukon in the historic area of Intramuros, situated within modern-day Manila.

Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, the archbishop of Manila, blessed a newly carved wooden statue of Ukon, who is just a step away from sainthood following his beatification in February last year.

Born into a samurai-class family in Osaka in 1552, a time of political upheaval and civil warfare, Ukon went on to become the lord of Takatsuki Castle and to participate in various battles under preeminent warlords Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

However, during the reign of the Tokugawa Shogunate, which outlawed Christianity, the aging Ukon was exiled to the Philippines for holding on to his faith amid the persecution of its followers.

Arriving with his wife, a married daughter and five grandsons, as well as some 350 other Japanese Christian exiles, Ukon was warmly welcomed in what was then a colony of Spain, and given the honor of a parade-in-review of Spanish troops in recognition of his military standing.

During his brief time in the country, Ukon devoted his time to prayer and the evangelization of 3,000 non-Christian Japanese in what is now the city’s Paco district. He succumbed to a tropical ailment on Feb. 3, 1615, just 45 days after his arrival. His remains are buried in Manila.

Pointing out the Philippines’ record in accepting refugees during the 20th century, such as the White Russians, Jews and Vietnamese, the Tourism Department’s Assistant Secretary Roberto Alabado said Ukon may just be among the first of those who benefited from the country’s welcoming attitude very early on.

“This shows we are always welcoming people from all over the world, no matter who you are, no matter where you’re from, and no matter what your religion is,” Alabado said.

“For this occasion, we are once again commemorating one of those refugees, but on another kind. He is part of us, as we are a Christian nation.”

Japanese Embassy official Takehiro Kano said the Philippine government’s efforts to honor Ukon are great ways to “resurrect memories of common history we share.”

Noting the robust exchange of tourists between the two countries in recent years, Kano said, “In a sense, Blessed Takayama Ukon was among the pioneering Japanese visitors to the Philippines.”

“Unbeknown to Blessed Takayama Ukon, he may have helped plant a seed of friendship that has grown a lot in time,” Kano said.

He expressed hope that the introduction of the walking tour and statue, and the declaration of the Takayama Ukon Day “will attract more Japanese tourists.”

Alabado said the government aims to promote faith tourism more in the Philippines and attract religious pilgrimages in the country.

“This is part of cultural tourism,” which, he said, will not only attract Japanese but also Catholics from other countries.

The Philippines received more than 5.3 million foreign visitors from January to September, with Japanese ranking fourth, after South Koreans, Chinese and Americans.
