And I'm torn about that response from Bethesda saying there's no truth to the rumor. For one thing I don't believe shit they say. This is a company that dropped the price of a $60 game by about half in less than a month. They're DESPERATE to get people playing it. But at the same time they're also massively greedy cunts, as proven by their unreasonably priced garbage in the Atomic Shop.

Well we already know from people who've dug into the game files that lootboxes bought with atoms were planned at some point. It might be that someone is reading the news articles and going "oh shit we are getting some PR flack for this CANCEL IT"

That shit it tacky as fuck, it bet it's pleather. A brown bomber jacket with the vault logo on the back would of been cool but who the fuck wants FO76 merch anyway?
I mean, why not make actual black leather jackets with the Tunnel Snake logo on the back? I'd buy one of those before that horrible looking shit they're peddling.

It's just a rumor, but holy fuck Bethesda is going to generate a lot of bad PR with their hardcore fan base by dropping the price of something they sold for $59.99 American Dollars to $0 inside of 90 days if they make that move. That has to be the fastest "AAA to F2P" transition of all time, should it happen.

I'm surprised they didn't start with places where the always-on internet connection was a dealbreaker.
Well APB went from $50 (in 2010) to fucking dead in 68 days, and bankrupted Realtime Worlds in less than 50 because they decided spending well in excess $100 million dollars on a online-only multiplayer game with mediocre, empty gameplay, and extremely janky mechanics was gonna be the GTA Online before GTA Online happened, and was exactly advertised as GTA but online!

For comparison GTA V and GTA Online only cost $137 million to develop.

Some British shit rag known as the "Daily Star" tried to claim the rumors were debunked by EB games somehow.

They've deleted the article.

You know you have reach rock-bottom in credibility when people have to weigh your word against those of a Fleet Street rag, which only a notch or two above Iraqi-Information-Minister-tier levels of misinformation.

Hey kids are you extremely autistic, rich, and looking to wear shitty cosplay? Look no further!

I've seen various online retailers selling new copies for $20 so there's not really any other options other than going f2p.

It's clearly not profitable given how hard they're shilling the irl merchandise.

It's absolutely head-spinning to me that Bethesda can't even make Fallout 76's microtransactions work. I'm convinced you have to be deliberately stupid to not be raking in cash with MTX when your company is shameless about having no integrity.

I really don't have any snarky comments this time. That jacket just looks straight up terrible.
Is there any confirmation on what the in-game jumpsuits are made out of? I always thought they were made out of some kind of rubber but I don't know shit about clothing material.

Here's what I could find on short notice.

They are made of leather, the numbers made of polyester and the belt and other components out of aluminum.
