Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

A lot could come back, but I think there are so many who are so far gone, there is no hope.

There's always hope. But they're hivemind types, conditioned to think as the rest of their swarm does; you'd have to do decades of intensive reconditioning therapy to save any individual one. And good luck with that, because psychiatrists' MO appears these days to be "humor the crazy".

I sometimes worry that quarantining entire swaths of the population will become necessary because they're just too radicalized to participate in civilization, and we'll end up (figuratively) wandering in the wilderness for a few generations before we can return to an America worth living in.

The GOP has been literally screaming for you to come to the bargaining table. You wouldn’t even be here to negotiate if you hadn’t been grounded. Maybe chemo or rent is such a problem in Washington because of how extremely cancerous you are, Nancy.
The House GOP literally voted for federal employees to receive their first check of 2019, Democrat's didn't. It gets even stupider as Rep. Lowey, Nita M. [D-NY-17] Introduced the bill and then decided to vote against it.

So there's a thread on Askreddit trending called "Government employees that voted for trump, what are your current thoughts about him as president?" As you can imagine, sorting by controversial is a hoot. It's full of downvoting unfavourable posts and ORANGE MAN BAD:

"I would rather this entire country be wiped off the face of the Earth than to have a single cent of my tax dollars go towards that stupid wall." That about sums it up.

I have an account on Reddit. One time I tried to troll r/politics by just simply saying 'Donald Trump is a good president". A lot of people commented saying that I had some kind of a mental disorder. I did the same thing in reverse (ORANGE MAN BAD), on r/TheDonald and the comments showed me evidence to prove me wrong, and they did in a respectful manner...despite me getting banned from there. So...it's pretty safe to say that there was a staggering difference of reception.

This reminds me of a recurring joke in films where a villain demands an artifact, or they all bow down and serve him, and someone pipes up that they would rather that their friend X die than comply.

Except here, it's not a joke. Congressional Democrats would rather we all die than give any satisfaction to the Designated Villains. (Because, after all, sometimes you have to starve hundreds of thousands of people to make an omelette. Just ask Stalin.)

Nancy Pelosi made "could care less" error in her tweet, I wonder id media will jump on that and ridicule her like they always do to Trump?

I like how Pelosi keeps saying "It's time the GOP work with us", and yet it's she and Chucky who are refusing to work with Trump when he's the one reaching across the aisle day after day. The irony is so strong I'm surprised she hasn't rusted fully yet.

I honestly think it's just fucking hilarious that the moment she was sworn in as Speaker, she became a sitting duck because of the shutdown. If she was so dedicated to her job, she'd have made that her first priority instead of "IMPEACH DRUMPF, GIB ME MUH ILLEGALS".

Evergreen just swap names and policies.

No, American politics is now merely a MacGuffin, an important-sounding but ultimately inconsequential and disposable plot device for holding interest in the Hero's Journey.

Ultimately the only thing that matters is the Hero itself. It doesn't matter why the Hero Barack Obama wants the Lost Ark of Sensible Gun Control, or the Shankara Stones of Comprehensive Immigration Reform, or the Democratic Holy Grail of Affordable Health Care. These are very minor details and only matter to the extent the Hero exerts himself to achieve them.

The viewers of this film don't really care about these things, but only Obama's frustration at being denied them, or his joy in attaining them.

"This is a big f***ing deal," his incompetent Comic Sidekick said as he signed Obamacare into law. What the "this" was didn't matter then, as it scarcely matters now.

What counted was that the Hero had won.

This isn't out of negligence, they want to punish Americans for electing Trump. They're riling up all the TDS sufferers who want to see America burn for its crimes, and as the Covington Catholic incident shows, think Trump supporters are pests you just have to exterminate. And THAT'S why Trump's got them over the shutdown. It shows pretty well they don't care about you or the things they claim to care about, they're playing to the orange man bad base because surely it will work after two years of nothing!

I used to think that the idea that reddit users where so dumb that they need see " /sneed " to understand something was sarcasm was just a meme, but considering how many upvotes this got compared to other responses is just more proof that they are indeed that stupid.

holy shit i love reddit now. /sneed we did it reddit

a vision of america under the democrats in 2028

Going to be a noticeable lack of TDS over this:

The one thing US liberals hate more than Republicans is actual socialists. It's going to be funny seeing which of them publically support the US backing another right wing coup in South America despite Trump.

This may be a good time to point out the fact that socialism never ends well.
