Most people here are fucking idiots, yes. It's entirely possible to be fascinated with someone like CWC without being an idiot about it, though ... and by flippantly saying "everyone here is an idiot, you and me included!" you're giving cover to people who do and say extremely stupid shit.

There is a *very* big difference between checking in on the latest weird things that have happened, compared to actively trying to antagonize Chris or otherwise be involved in his life. There is also a very big difference between people who think Chris is a curious and complex individual, compared to people who seethe with rage over him collecting welfare, being lazy, "giving trans people/bronies/autistics a bad name," etc.

Passively observing a notable weirdo who puts his entire life online for everyone to see isn't idiotic. When you go a step beyond passive observation, that's when it can become a problem.

Probably, but this finally sunk in after the blockers told him why he's blocked, as I hoped it might.
