Susan doesn't have bipolar syndrome, and her kids don't either. More likely, it's
Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy. She needs her kids to be sick, because it gets her asspats and attention- and at this point, she has invested so much into the lie that she can't easily back out without risking some serious consequences.
Oh yeah she definitely has that as well... but lots of the time munchausens doesnt just exist on its own. There generally has to be something very wrong with you as a person not to realize that making yourself sick for attention and or making your kid sick for attention isnt alright.
Most people have something inside them that tells them... they have gone too far. Even some of those other munchausens moms im this thread... they dont get to the point where their kids are so drugged they are barely still breathing. They eventually back off, and if one of their munchausen scams seems to be going too far south- theyll just add another illness. Thats how you get mothers who go from having kids with one illness- develop this new illness- generally all the illnesses being fairly minor when it comes to long time harm- but serious when it comes to the level of involvement they can get from medical professionals with new diagnoses.
Most people with munchausens dont want to kill their kids. At least in my opinion. They just crave the attention so badly that they are hyper alert to any irregularity in their kids and blow it up. There are probably more munchausens moms and dads out there than we could ever know about- but most of them... dont get the level of media attention that Susan and Gypsy and Garnet Spears mom got. The ones who do- I personally think- are in the minority- but also are the ones who have something more going on. Some sort of tie to some sort of personality disorder that makes them completely able to go all in when it comes to making their kids sick. They dont view their children as people... only as objects.

Rothenhausler and Kapfhammer stated that the majority of patients with factitious disorder suffer from Cluster B personality disorders, particularly BPD.
8 Bouden and colleagues indicated that in factitious disorder by proxy, the perpetrator of the surreptitious symptoms is most likely suffering from BPD.
As I said. I do think Susan has a cluster B personality disorder. I am not sure which one because there can be considerable overlap but I would be shocked if she didnt have one.
I do wonder how Jani is doing through all of this as well.
I know lots of the attention is on Bodhi right now but I would hate for this to all end up as
Kids see two different psychiatrists. All attention is on Bodhis drug withdrawl. He withdraws and everyone realizes that he didnt need drugs after all because “hes different than his sick sister”. Susan plays victim and also thankful mother role as it is revealed that her poor son is actually fine and its the stupid doctors fault for overdrugging him just because his sister is so sick.
Jani is ignored through this. Bodhi gets off drugs and becomes Susans miracle baby cured by God and a mothers love- and Jani is forced to take on Susans fantasy of being so specially sick double time. As Bodhi gets better Jani gets worse because Susan still needs her munchausens fill.
I know right now we are all worried about Bodhi. But if Bodhi gets off his drugs... it could go either way for Jani. Either her entire regimen will be overlooked by a caring and compassionate psychiatrist... or shell be left with attention hungry drug demanding Susan and whatever crap overworked psychiatrist that they can get to hand over drugs after 3 seconds through mediCal without Bodhi there to divide the pain.
I want Bodhi free from drugs- but also think that people shouldnt forget Jani. Even with Bodhi off drugs- Jani was always the main attention grab. If Susan loses the ability to drug Bodhi... Jani might suffer from it
