This is a point worth reiterating every time he demands more money. Can anyone name any serious financial cutbacks he's made? The only thing that comes to mind is dropping PSVue, which was $50 per month. Aside from that, Mr. I need $16k doesn't seem to have changed anything else.
He did cancel cable which is why he picked up vue in the first place, but by doing that he saved little to no money. Knowing Comcast taking off cable would have saved less then $100 since internet is their big money maker and this fool has two plans with them.

Phil pretending he is on hard times is one of those too sleazy to be funny things he does. Like putting out a picture in long sleeves acting like he is standing by a barrel fire when the truth was he just chose not to turn the heat on.

Why does he check his phone so much? He has 0 friends, his deathly ill parents surely don’t text him, Kat I doubt texts him. He only gets troll tweets or truthful tweets which he deems as trolls.

Like what is he checking constantly? His health app?

“You’ve walked 16 steps today. A new personal best. “

Probably his paypal account.

Yeah, he has notably done this after larger tips and openly admitted he was verifying that a tip was real once. Other times, he has claimed he was looking at the news (once or twice he read out what appeared to be a headline, so there may be some merit to that... I'd say that this could spark discussion, but considering he didn't even try to talk to chat at that time...)

The phone checking does loan credence to the theory that there is some way to get a tip to pop up without Phil then receiving the money, since he seems to chronically need to check on stream to feel sure. On the other hand, it could also just be to the point where he is so paranoid that someone has found away, or he just likes watching the little number go up, that he's really dipping into the obsessive side of greed. I've noticed that he has been visibly doing it less, and is instead leaning forward and obviously checking it with the phone out of frame so isn't as blunt. But he hides it like the kid at the back of a high school classroom.

Either way, he cut off discussion about the emote rather abruptly saying gameplay was not the time to be discussing emotes. Remarkable, considering this was the free labour he had been asking for, but the reality was that people were pointing out that he WAS on the phone, and this was just a way for chat to actually interact over that. In typical Phil fashion, he had no rebuttal that wouldn't require him to admit some fault so he kills the conversation with a bullshit reason.

Donate $50-100 for what? No wonder Phil is succesfull when listen to things like this...

Jackbox is a multiplayer party game, so they'd be paying to play with Phil and post detractor memes. Honestly, it's not a bad idea. Well, charging that much specifically is a little much, but it's something that gets thrown out here every so often. The big reason Phil would never do something like that is his pride would never allow it. Jackbox especially is rough for Phil because he can't blame input lag or faulty controllers or anything else, it'd just be a string of people insulting Kat, telling him to get a job or bringing up the masturbation incident.

The smart and as Phil would like to say, "interactive" way to do something like this is have certain days where you do multiplayer games with your subscribers. Could give higher priority to higher tiered subs, going through the 3's and 2's before you get to general subscribers. Having it done through subs is less of a cut than just setting a certain amount for donations, but it keeps trolls from just cancelling the PayPal transaction after a match. Normal streamers do that as a way to play games with their fans, but with Phil, you know there'd be detractors willing to pay money just to destroy Phil in a game, especially if it was being restreamed by Tevin.

I was watching Theo's reaction to Dave's pre-stream from the last KH3 stream, and couldn't believe when he said this: "you don't even have to stick around for the stream to avoid spoilers, just come by and contribute a little bit."

Wow...it doesn't even matter if you're watching the stream and actually getting something out of it, just drop by to make a deposit into the pigroach bank and move on, because Darksfadil has bills to pay, and it's your responsibility to make sure he can.

It's amazing how he can constantly reach a new height of entitlement AND a new low, simultaneously.

I know what Jackbox is and how it works, i see no problem with him charging his fans money to play Jackbox with him or any other game, though subbing to him on Twitch or e.g.
$5 on Patreon should be enough.
But i have a hard time seeing how someone think that detractors would pay $50-100 to play with Phil just they can insult him on stream, still remember how he charged his fans a large sum just to play with him and then let the detractors in for free, detractors wont pay those sums and neither will his fans, a tiny cheer is enough for them!

I agree on the regards of why he wont do it, he wouldn't be able to stand all the "insults".

Have you been paying attention? Detractors give him money all day. Grazydream has like a $500 bit badge and he's been quoting soapqueen1 about how you m.ilk a cow slowly. How about Tut who gave him a lot of money at once so that DSP would get slightly less money later. Detractors constitute some of the greatest paypigs out there. I and others here have been attacked for being "moral fags" by KF mods and posters for saying it's stupid as shit to give Phil money as a detractor. Hell, our soapqueen1 was regularly giving Phil bits up until he was banned.

How dare you!

It's not dumb to give Phil money. He needs money to pay his bills for the stuff he really truly needs to live. For example, he just got a $200 bill for the sewer in Connecticut. He needs that money!

I 've made a 6-minute-long quick 'n dirty montage of last night's Swagginz vs. DSP slap fight, including Swagginz his reactions and him unbanning a troll knowing in advance he was going to troll-cheer plus DSP's reaction to Swagginz not banning the dude (thanks, @Haunter, for grabbing that footage).
Oh, and unlike my normally quickly grabbed clips, this is in 1080p, so you can go full screen and still be able to actually read the text. :)

Enjoy.

(Not posting this in the RE2 thread btw, because I feel this doesn't have much to do with the game itself, but rather fits into the more general "DSP fights with his main mod who also is/was a big contributor" plotline.)
