This is supposed to be Jules Argent, a character who in the show is rather waifish, instead of a hulked-out beast like this thing.

I noticed it too, it like some tumblr artists are afraid to draw good looking female characters. Probably cus they throw bullshit like "you're a sexist pig who see women like sex objects to jack off!" Even if the female character is slightly chubby, they even manage to fuck it up by drawing them into hideous blobs or fat men cus how dare female characters be attractive.

I'll tell you why: because most tumblrinas interpreted something that wasn't really there in the first place. However they seem to be more aggressive when it comes to Frisk's gender than most other characters in other fandoms - and the only reason I know this is because I actually experienced this first hand.

Way back when the Earthbound fandom was beginning to decline in quality the staff at the starmen.net forums decided that it would be a good idea to create a section for Undertale, considering that Toby Fox was a major member of the forum back in the day. It was possibly one of the worst mistakes they'd ever made. It wasn't long after this that tumblr users began to take over the site as well as the fandom, and unfortunately it seemed that the mods were more than happy to let them ruin everything considering that they had the same ideologies.

Fast forward a couple of months and a thread was posted where people could debate certain terms that were used in the game - the biggest one of which happened to be how everyone in the game referred to Frisk as "they". Most calm users agreed that it was simply a term Toby used to allow the player to get more immersed into the game regardless of gender. It went to shit in about ten hours or so, with tumblrinas berating and shouting down at every user who disagreed with the idea that Frisk was genderfluid/asexual/whatever the fuck else uses "they" as pronouns no matter how well thought out the counterpoints were. This became so ridiculous that some of the more easygoing members began joking about it, stating that other things like the Frisk-shaped lamp was demisexual and other things, which triggered a rather threatening response from one of the mods, which then lead to a lot of older users - who had done nothing but contribute to the site for years - getting banned permanently.

The thread was closed soon afterwards with the mods threatening that if anybody had the gall to call Frisk anything other than "they", then they'd be given a warning if they were lucky. Of course this ideology spread to Earthbound characters too, but by then most of us had left the fandom so there wasn't any bloodsports like there was with Frisk.
