We know he lies and exaggerates routinely, so I don’t believe for a second that this happened the way he said. I reckon the real story is that Slingblade asked his mommy for money and she pointed out how pathetic it was for a middle-aged man to need financial support from mom. Sounds like she also pointed out that he used to be functional. Then he was all “but muh imaginary friends!” and she asked him to explain it and he couldn’t, because it is a made-up illness that only strikes when convenient.
She is right to guilt trip her useless son. That she still tolerates him shows that she is a loving woman who deserves better.

So they can’t teach it til 8th grade. How is that bad? 8th graders are like 12-13 years old. They probably have just received the “your body and you” talk about puberty. Reminder, trans people are literally less than .5% of the population. Trans kids are less than half of that. But these troons want schools all over the world to teach gender identity classes immediately out of kindergarten.
And to top it off... why wouldn’t a parent have a say in their kids gender transitions? You can’t smoke or get a tattoo until 18. You can’t drive until 16 (on average) and even then you usually need a parents assistance in some way/shape/form.
It’s almost like kids don’t understand what’s good for them yet and still need mature guidance.
