Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

That Ringo rough was practically worthless as far as being sellable art to display. It was pretty loose and unremarkable, even with the pedigree of being by a beloved deceased artist. Mike owned it, he's a pro perfectly capable of rendering over it, so why not? If anything it was a tribute. The woke brigade is making it out like he defaced the fucking Mona Lisa.

Burning it was kind of dumb, but I get it. If nobodies and pros alike are going to lose their shit over this, better destroy it so it's erased from history, otherwise be harrassed forever as a ghoul if God forbid it sees print or profit.

It’s the fact he was 100% serious about publishing it, with a forged signature, that’s the issue here. S. Miller has proven he has no qualms with throwing any sort of ethics/morals out the window if it means he can make money, even if it involves exploiting a dead man who, obviously, can’t speak for himself.

When even pro-CG spergs like EVS call shit like that out, then yeah, it goes beyond the “woke” brigade, because Ringo was beloved by all who knew him in the industry -regardless of political leanings-, and doing something like this without his consent is dumb, to put it lightly.

At the very least, if he was still 100% serious, he should’ve asked Matt Wieringo first. But nah, S. Miller decided to be a dick cheese about it, and if he wasn’t already on the industry shitlist before, he’s sure as hell on it now after this stunt.

That was almost pure unfettered autism.

Honestly I'm not familiar with alot of comicsgate, and have just started paying attention to it but Schiver really rubs me the wrong way based on what I've seen.
I was tempted to keep on watching some of his content to see how much of a cow he is but goddamn did this stream dissuade me, he sounded so obnoxious, claiming that the Renfamous stream was a total defeat for her.
I watched that stream and it seemed pretty meh, like not embarassing but not great either. Like the typical SJW shit.
But trying to watch Schiver's stream of it was just cringe, like this really dull circlejerk over something that looks pretty uneventful.

On the stream that just finished it sounds like theres a ton of background to it that justifies that reaction, but considering Schiver's sperginess I'm skeptical of that.

It was funny that he threw Sargon under the bus though.

Copied signature. A forgery would imply passing it off as genuine. Given how publicly this all went down, the intent to deceive anyone is clearly not there. So that's a moot, and incredibly dumb, point.

It was one loose, literally throwaway rough sketch. It would have been disrespectful to leave it to rot in a drawer. Mike gave it life and the light of day. And don't fucking lecture a professional artist, living or dead, about ethics and morality. The guys supports his family drawing comic book superheroes, he's got to scramble to make every line he draws profitable.

I didn’t listen to it but I’m not surprised. Ethan has no scruples about throwing away people for the sake of drama or protecting his own image. He’s done it to Ian Miles Cheong (well deserved tbh), Nerkish, Sashi, JDA and others. Someone mentioned earlier the stream where he got one of the honey badgers to come on and then invited Metokur just to stir the pot. Rest assured, he’s occasionally funny and a fantastic artist, but anyone putting their trust in him is setting themselves up to be embarrassed publicly and thrown away.

After getting kicked out of Kevin’s stream, Ethan got his circlejerk party together to invite Mike back with open arms (1:14:30):
“It was a prank bro. I didnt even burn it, i did paint over it tho lol” —Mike S(hithead) Miller (1:32:15)

He’s says hes going to aution it off on friday and donate the proceeds to a charity. Only to have Ethan tell him not to give the money to charirty because it gives the SJWs a win. (1:34:40)

there's a real simple way he could have gone about that. Don't mess up the original, maybe draw his own similar one as a tribute. Whether the original had value or not, it was a dick move on his part to co-opt it instead of doing the world to draw his own cover that could have mimicked it in some way.

it's just another footnote in why comics gate is lolcows vs. lolcows. It's a band of sjw's dumb enough to break contract law to stop a no name comic from getting printed on one side and a bunch of spergs who are more concerned with stream sniping their "opponents" rather than finishing their own comic on the other.

EVS was supposedly drunk, though I'm convinced he would have acted the same if he was sober. To me the really stupid part of the stream was even having the stream itself. As ironic as it is to say this with my current avatar, but the whole idea of the stream was like a silly gay ass version of a wrestling challenge or how Bill O'Reilly and other "journalist" like to bitch and moan about somebody but then say well hey I'll go easy on you or I'll let you give your take if you just come on in my program. Screw you. You people are just looking for attention every time you do this. I mean the whole thing was just like how Carl joined unexpectedly Kevin and Kristi's stream thinking he can dunk on them but in reverse where the guest is invited and treated like crap.

That’s what kind of confuses me about this. This is modern era. You want to finish up a beloved deceased artists unfinished work? Fine. Scan it in, print it out and preserve the original. Then go to town on the copy.

Oh my! So this is the professionalism that's been sorely lacking in the funny-book business of late?

If the last 'Truly Exceptional' 48 hours have proved anything beyond a doubt to me, it's that Comicsgate isn't an Ark gracefully sailing away from a doomed industry with it's last survivors aboard, so much as a clown-car careening around the decks of the Titanic while it sinks......
At this stage the only one of these clowns I have any respect for is Mitch Breitweiser, who wisely grabbed a small child and quietly headed for the lifeboats.

The attempt on Ethan's latest stream to characterize Mike's skeevy grave-robbing as some kind of masterful psy-op is only fooling the his credulous and unnervingly cultish audience. At least when I thought Mike had burned the piece, there existed in my mind the somewhat sympathetic possibility that his behaviour might be the product of a complete mental breakdown rather then, you know, his typical stupidity.
I'd say any sympathetic pro's that were previously considering jumping the fence are now relieved they didn't join this shitshow.

Well if nothing else, Comicgate is going to provide a lot of entertainment over the coming year!

Of all the people related to CG, Martina gets very little attention but gets such insane blowback and I’ll never understand why. The same with the Breitweisers. I hope she gets it all sorted out.
It could have something to do with her boyfriend, jack buckby, being the other co founder (besides gavin) of the organization of gay men known as the proudboys.

I dont think she should be punished like that, but I also think Shes also kind of a hole. And buckby is an obnoxious manlet.

Because, for all their lip service to feminism, I've never encountered any more deeply entrenched misogyny as I have on the far left, they are bullies and bullies prefer to target the weak.
Then there's the fact that women and POC attract special ire, because they are not only heritics, they're gender and race traitors who need to be made an example of to keep the rest of their purse puppies in line.

This move also comes on the back of Indiegogo deplatforming Bitchute for hosting Alex Jones content. I guess she's collateral damage in the ongoing Jihad against alt-media.

She did. IGG allowed her to change the business banking information & she’s currently getting all that set up. They agreed to make the change on the back end of the site for her.

You're missing the whole point of it being a tribute. It was a nothing layout barely recognizable as Ringo's work. S. Miller is a pro who's inked over Ringo before. He has the chops to do it justice, and felt it right to organically finish the piece as he saw fit. Nobody decrying this would seriously pay a premium or frame it for display as it was, so why not? I believe Mike said basically he did it this way because it was "more fun", and I agree. A posthumous collaboration on original artwork is more of a challenge than scanning and printing a copy. The image was so loose that is almost absurd, why not just freehand the thumbnail instead?

Also glad he trolled the crybabies and did not destroy it. That seemed pointless and did not make much sense, especially after altering it. Even then, who really cares? It was practically scrap before S. Miller finishing it. To ascribe some holiness to it out of feelz is just silly. It's not like the dude dropped dead the day before, he's been gone over a decade. Yeah, "their not making any more of them", but doubt there is any shortage of original Wieringo art out there, finished or not.
