HorrorcowSusan Schofield Cabana, Cory Cabana, & Michael Schofield / Schofield Productions / @bipolarnation - A Tragicomic Tale of Psychiatric Munchausen's by Proxy
Dr. Sophy was there right? Elliot Rodgers was a former client of his (he received a copy of Elliot's Manifesto AFAIR)
Interestingly, here is a deposition featuring Dr. Sophy (2015) where he is grilled specifically on Munchausen's by proxy.
I’d be careful with what you take away from that video. It’s been chopped up and edited to bits and is posted by some Susan-type wacko who believes in “medical kidnapping” (medical kidnapping is usually a term used by MBP mothers for when their kids are taken due to their medical abuse) The video is under and hour whereas most depositions are 3-6 hours minimum. The YT account that posted the video has a clear agenda so has edited the video to suit it.
Jesus this thread is moving so fast, I feel like I'm running a fucking marathon on a treadmill to keep up...
Anyone else notice/find it strange that according to this, Susan is the one that tells the producers there's video evidence of Bodhi's seizures? Why would she bring that up? To try and get ahead of it, or what?
Sincerely, thank you for your hard work. There were only 5-6 vids on there that I saw--lame of them to set the cap so low.
Well, we have verifable evidence it's something Cory Fucking Cobana does, thanks to @ibewwife1990. Confirms our suspicions of Cory's NASTY temper and control issues, although the molester vibes seem to be a bit of a stretch according to the new leakers. I'm a bit disappointed that the Cory "Big Man" temper wasn't on a fireworks of display during Phil according to @KeepHopeAlive.
Daaaaammmmmnnnn Susan. What, she just thought that her actions would be perfectly acceptable if the authorities didn't IMMEDIATELY check their email and tell her not to dose her kids with the explicitly forbidden meds!? God she's dumb--and thank God for that.
It's like someone emailing the police and saying "I have this explosive, I'm just gonna throw it on my neighbor's house, unless you tell me that I can't..?" Lack of condemnation is NOT equal to permission granted, you cunt. Her use of email versus a phone call was absolutely intentional. She was banking on their being a delay in communication. I hope to God that bet didn't go in her favor.
Susan is enamored with the medical feild, specially psychiatry, until things don't go her way. Then she adopts all the fringe narratives that suit her vendetta against medicine. Of course she wasn't paying for medications--MediCal and/or Michael's insurance were. That's not the point. She's grasping at straws, throwing accusations, and hoping something will stick.
I think a lawyer may be more able to accurately answer this, but I can give it a stab with what I know.,. ( @Bunny at Law is your name legit, or am I making false assumptions here?)
It's very, very unlikely that Rivzi will lose his license. He may get a slap on the wrist or a fine from the credentialing board, but it's shockingly uncommon for this to happen, These boards are filled with other doctors, and the sense of loyalty they have towards one another is strong. You have to REALLY fuck up to get kicked out of the exclusive club once you become a member. Think sexually assaulting multiple patients, taking millions in bribes from druglords--that sort of thing. I HIGHLY recommend the podcast "Dr. Death" to be horrified with what doctors can get away with before facing adequate punishment.
I'm the upcoming generation, and myself and my classmates are mostly bright eyed and bushy tailed to break up the "Boys Club"--so this might change in the future. We really value justice, fairness, and getting the American Drea while also "playing by the rules" and working our fucking asses off to get there. By and large, my classmates and I are also disgusted by the iron grip that Pharma and Insurance companies have over healthcare in the US, and want to change how socioeconomic status is so inexorably linked to health outcomes. We think it's morally wrong that a patient's care is determined by heads at an insurance company deciding what they will/will not cover. We're probably too idealistic, but that's youth, right!?
I think it's more likely that Rivzi will get fired from Kaiser if the higher-ups in the healthcare network find out he's been making bad medical decisions. Healthcare conglomerates like Kaiser are ruthless and if they think a specific doctor is a liability/loose cannon, they'll absolutely cut him or her loose. It's quite likely he'll quickly be hired elsewhere though, as psychiatrists specifically are in EXTREME demand nearly everywhere.
Sorry, just saw this! I'm way more knowledgeable on DCFS stuff than medical malpractice, but I highly doubt that he'd lose his license. As you said, the boards are staffed by doctors who are more than willing to accept a narrative of "poor overwhelmed doctor ill-suited to Kaiser's case load" than "careless asshole who writes any script in the book." Thankfully, fewer and fewer doctors are becoming part of the national associations, which means less money from lobbyists and hopefully less desire to close ranks.
Dr Phil walked out when Susan said NO to no more posting. THAT was the qualifier for him. If she kept it up, no eval for Bodhi. That was the only repercussion from the show. What was said behind closed doors, I don't know, but I can imagine.
@Bunny at Law I didn't see any evidence that they would go after Rizvi. They shied away from that except to say they would have never prescribed Clozaril for Bodhi. Psych ranks seemed to be closed per the show. They made it clear that NO pysch doc wanted to have Susan/Bodhi as a patient cuz of Susan.
I just got caught up on this thread, and my stomach was turning enough from this whole situation. Her being left with that fucking creep genuinely scares me.
Holy fuck. Even 1 single dose of FIVE milligrams of olanzapine is enough to knock me out within 2 hours and then after I fall asleep, I'd wake up every hour shivering feeling hot and cold and sweaty and this incessant urge to eat and I get up to eat and drink and then fall asleep. And repeat that many times over the "night".
These kids, undergoing puberty and generally being you know, children, on these massively huge doses and multiple different meds. It's just messed up. Holy fuck. I seriously have no fucking words. Antipsychotics are not a fucking joke. They can fuck up your hormones, metabolism, everything. They can make men grow boobs, they can give you diabetes, they can give you motor diseases. They can shit you not fucking kill you.
I am not as versed in these medications everyone keeps talking about on here but I looked up if Thorazine makes you sleepy and found: Thorazine (Chlorpromazine) Taking chlorpromazine with other drugs that make you sleepy or slow your breathing can cause dangerous or life-threatening side effects. Ask your doctor before taking a sleeping pill, narcotic pain medicine, prescription cough medicine, a muscle relaxer, or medicine for anxiety, depression, or seizures.
I really hope she is not giving him other medications with the thorazine to make him sleep.

No urgent care/pediatrician/emergency/ OBGYN etc etc would want to put up with Susan, even if they genuinely wanted to do right by Jani and Bodhi. I'm sure the kids' teachers feel in a similar spot. I imagine this is why Susan had some success at the walk-in places getting her beloved meds--they wanted her screechy voice and attention-demanding OUT. Best scenario Susan loses custody, and state grants Michael full power over the kids' medical decisions. I know that the state can assign a temporary decision maker if needed (for example, a 90 year-old with late dementia without kids or a spouse) but I'm not sure if that'd be something that would be likely in J and B's case?
I wonder what she means by "old behaviors". If he's self-harming then that gives me reason to believe that Susan is up in his face triggering him into a meltdown as a means of trying to re-gain control of the situation. I hope he keeps them up all night. They don't work/aren't struggling to find work. They can take their Grey's Anatomy and shove it up their asses.
By Bodhi's "old behavior" does she mean acting like a quiet zombie after taking Thorazine? If so, she's such a cruel woman for actually wanting him to be that way.

Another memory of today crops up. Susan mentioned a couple times about Bodhi's self-harming behavior--He was yanking on his genitals to try and pull them off. She said on tv.

So theyre taking shifts because of old behaviors returning... As sad as I am that she's obviously still pushing that he NEEDS meds, that must mean he's still up and about.
Is it safe to assume someone stepped in and stopped her from giving him the meds? Please?

There are two types of custody, legal and physical. Although Susan has primary physical custody, Michael has joint legal custody meaning that the court would see whether he is willing/able to be there to exercise full legal custody on a temporary basis. If something very urgent comes up in the middle of the night, DCFS will take them into emergency physical and legal custody to get them medical attention/ out of harms way. They would then go to the court and file an explanation for why they had to take the kids without court permission, and either request to keep the kids completely or release them voluntarily to Susan.
DCFS wouldn't do that in this case, so they'd likely ask the court to allow them to keep the kids in their legal custody with a release to Michael. Unfortunately, interstate travel with an open DCFS case is extremely difficult so I'm having a hard time predicting what would occur.
The best bet for Michael's getting full legal custody of the kids is for the court to assign it to him on a temporary basis, without DCFS having to remove them without court permission. Unfortunately, that requires an open Abuse/Neglect case, which would complicate Bodhi's PNP Center trip because the court limits out-of-state trips while the case is going on. Additionally, he wouldn't be able to get physical custody of Jani during this time without Susan agreeing to it for the same reason.
EDIT: The court can arrange for Minnesota's DCFS to keep tabs on the kids/family. It's not ideal or usual, but this case might be the best candidate for some interstate collaboration. For example, the kids can be under Michael's legal care but in an inpatient program somewhere.
