IIRC, the IPF bans athletes for life if they catch wind of the fact that an athlete has used steroids at any point, even trained with known steroid users. Being a man is the equivalent of a woman whose done steroids her entire adult life, and trooning out doesn't erase most of the gains from testosterone.
 
USA lifting once banned a woman because of her PCOS meds. They're some of the hardest hardliners in any sport and they don't give a shit.

Since he claims that testosterone gives no athletic advantage, why doesn't he compete against men and rally for athletics to be men and women in the same events?

The Canadian version of it is currently suing the Ontario government over their changes to the sex-education curriculum on behalf of some parents of a transgender child. They're arguing that reversing the decision to teach 5 year olds about trannys and drag queens and anal sex is a violation of their charter rights. It's a travesty and if someone can explain to me how this is remotely a civil liberties issue I'd love to hear.

I hope they are specific in the lawsuit about what exactly is going on here because it's really disingenuous they way the entire sex ed curriculum when it comes to lgbt issues is lumped together. No little kids should be learning about how they can choose their gender and maybe they are really the wrong sex and can get medical treatment if they like the wrong toys, but imo there's benefit to saying to them, "Some people have two mommies or two daddies". The first is indoctrination/child abuse, the second is just age appropriate knowledge about something they will likely encounter in the world. They aren't the same thing at all so it feels kind of like a bait and switch when they get lumped together as "lgbt issues in the curriculum".

We had a similar thing with the "Safe Schools" project in Australia, which promoted LGBT acceptance in schools. Some of the activities in the program were obviously not appropriate, such as forcing primary-school (elementary, for Americans) students to roleplay that they were sixteen years old and gay/transgender, and activities clearly designed to single out children with conservative views and make them feel uncomfortable. And yeah, there were tons of right-wing loonies whose opinions were rightfully mocked and ignored, but even moderates who raised issues with the program got shut down and accused of wanting to murder LGBT kids and such. Hell, Cate McGregor, an actual transgender woman, came out and said she thought the program was useless for transgender kids, and she got fired and unpersoned until she made a grovelling apology saying that she had actually always been at war with Oceania. The funniest part of the whole thing was that a report into the fiasco basically admitted that the program probably wasn't worth it in the first place, as it couldn't be proven there was any significant levels of homophobic/transgender bullying in schools to begin with.
