Horrorcow Susan Schofield Cabana, Cory Cabana, & Michael Schofield / Schofield Productions / @bipolarnation - A Tragicomic Tale of Psychiatric Munchausen's by Proxy

She also seemed to miss the memo that every other human got that babies don’t fucking sleep well the first 18 months. Newborns rarely sleep more than 3 hour at a time at night. If you don’t establish routine sleeping and nap schedules the first year then you have royally fucked up. Susan seems to think babies and children should have off switches - the fact they don’t means they are psychotic.

Not to mention fucking up her sleep cycles with benadryl - and later melatonin too. If you take melatonin every night for a long time, it will fuck with your body's ability to produce it naturally, making getting a good night's sleep even harder. Same with benadryl, use it too often and soon you can't sleep without it. It's easy for adults to become dependent on it, lord knows how badly it affects an infant's sleep cycle.

ETA: anyone see Susan fucking laying in bed on that clip from Dr Phil??? LMFAO. Just in bed, in the living room, middle of the day.
I'm calling her pharma-hag from now on.

Does anybody know if Jani's damage from the stroke could have caused her aggression and inability to sleep early in her life? I'm sure I've read before about a little girl who was aggressive and they found brain damage from a fall as a toddler to be the cause.
Sleep issues are relatively commonplace for autistic children. Aggressive behavior can be related to frustration caused by communication deficits and/or sensory overstimulation. I've always felt that Jani's tendency to "attack" Bodhi when he was an infant was self-explanatory if you accept that she was a typical autistic child. It was always stated that her aggressive behavior toward Bodhi was prompted by his crying. Lots of neurotypical people are irritated by crying children but an autistic child may have an even more intense reaction to that level of sensory input. She probably just wanted the sound to stop because it was hurting her ears - no psychosis and no malicious intent. There is nothing that Jani said or did as a child that can't be explained by autism and parental negligence (plus a healthy dose of encouragement to express her childhood fantasies in terms that could be misconstrued as hallucinations by her desperate-for-fame parents but even the presence of a complex, ongoing imaginary world may be associated with autism). I know that some people doubt that Jani was anything but a typical child who was badly parented but the autism diagnosis makes sense to me.

Well, to be fair, it's either that or sitting in one of two shitty office chairs. They have no real furniture after all

What I don't get, is with the amount of money Susan RAKES in, why cant she just kit the house out with IKEA Malm? It looks slick, it's modern, it's hardy and it's cheap. What possible problem could she have with that? And if it's assembling it, why can't the Cabana Man do it? And if neither of them want self assembly, they can STILL AFFORD FURNITURE! So why the fuck don't they do it?

It goes against the narrative that they're struggling and barely getting by if their place looks nice. Like if you look at that hovel you don't think this woman makes 7k a month.

It’s very unlikely Jani was autistic. None of the endless doctors Susan took her to seemed to think she was autistic, whereas they were quick to label Bodhi’s issues as autism. Jani was very verbal, aggressive social with people, not rigid, highly imaginative, etc... nothing of early Jani points to autism that I’ve ever seen.

Kids getting upset with a new baby crying is pretty common, and far from something just autistic kids do. What isn’t common is having such clueless parents and a manic mother. Jani’s parents just surrendered to her every behavior as if they were powerless to stop a 3 foot tall, 35 pound human. By the time she was five and Bodhi was born she had only learned to react to things she didn’t like by throwing epic fits. So everything Bodhi cried, so threw a fit. I mean her parents were giving HIM attention!!!

Also remember what we saw of Jani reacting to Bodhi was filmed for a TV show. There was every reason to egg Jani’s behavior on and exaggerate everything and no reason not too. It was mostly exaggerated drama and Susan’s mania making a child’s tantrum seem like a big deal.

But Sadly, after years of brain melting drugs Jani does behave like she is autistic but that only started after all the endless medication damaged her mind.

Someone I know repeatedly tried to kill their brother (who is an irish twin, mother had them very close together, a lot of jealousy) until she went off to university. She was also very violent and manipulative with other children, quite asocial, argumentative. She's completely normal now. Checkmate Susan. Kids are fucking little shits.

Dude my mom tried to wash the new baby (little bro) with toilet cleanser. She was 2. Kids are little sociopaths until taught otherwise.

God her followers/fans are fucking tarded. A 1st amendmant abuse?? So Dr Phil didn't give her a choice??? Dumb fucktards.
God damn it are these people stupid. Amendments only protect our rights from the government. Unless Dr. Phil is somehow a government all of a sudden he can't deny someone their 1st amendment rights.

Susan has every right to put the YouTube channel back up. Just like Phil has every right to deny them help if she does.

Agreed and I'd love to hear her take on the blackmail part. Stupid hurts.

MBP falls in and out of style with the media every few years. It's hitting big again because the boyfriend in the Gypsy Rose case just had his trail in november, and is about to be sentenced this month, and Gypsy Rose's case makes for great outrage TV, and unlike many MBP cases, theres no grey areas as far as if it happened or not because the mom is dead not the victum for once.

The other one that was fairly obvious I can't recall the name of, but it fell apart because the girl supposedly had cancer, but (thankfully) unlike other MBP psychos, the mother was lazy as shit about it. She was just using it as a fraud scam, and just shaved the girl's head, shoved sleeping pills down her throat, and put bandages over where a chemo port would be, and it fell apart when the ramschackle ruse fell apart under basic scrutiny.

Doctors didn't think Jani was autistic because Jani is a girl. If Jani was a boy, or if she was born today, there would have been no question. Autism wasn't as well understood at the time, even though it was a relatively short time ago.
Autistic people aren't always introverted. Jani's an extrovert but she has all the social issues that come with autism, and she's shown signs of sensory processing disorder (which is part of autism) since she was a baby. That's a pretty common way for autism to present, especially in girls.

While I agree on that Jani's behavior does come across as autistic (+ ADHD, thus the never ending jumping around more than other kids her age), we can't actually know. Remember Jani has been on various meds since, what, two months of age? Now I don't know a lot about benadryl, but I did read that you're never supposed to give it to children under the age of six years, because it has caused death in kids younger than that. It can also cause other shit too - such as hallucinations (even though I don't believe Jani ever experienced hallucinations) if given in too large doses. SPD is also its own disorder, and despite very often being comorbid with autism (and ADHD and tourettes), it doesn't actually have to be.

And regarding Jani's obsession with numbers (which you didn't bring up but others have), it doesn't have to be autism or synesthesia. Methinks it has 100% to do with Susie Q and her constant "what date is it today?" "today is blah blah blah the blah blah blah" and her "Jani, what letter is that?" or "Jani, what number is that?" when the kid was, like, a year or two old.

Does anybody know if Jani's damage from the stroke could have caused her aggression and inability to sleep early in her life? I'm sure I've read before about a little girl who was aggressive and they found brain damage from a fall as a toddler to be the cause.

It could have to do with the stroke. Brain damage, even minor, can most definitely affect behavior and personality and stuff. Depends on what part of her brain was affected. Off topic, but iirc that was one of the theories they had about Nancy Spungen's behavior when she was a kid, that she'd suffered brain damage due to hypoxia suffered at birth and that that was what was causing her aggressiveness and inability to sleep.

Ok did some sleuthing after watching the teaser posted earlier-

Dr. Phil airs every single weekday on cable television, and one website shows programming titles/times across the United States for most every channel, "Titan TV". (https://www.titantv.com/Default.aspx?r=t)

This website is formatted like shit IMO, so I used the more intuitive miniature version provided on local station websites to find relevant information
.

This website (https://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/program-guide/) has no episode titled of Dr. Phil titled "The Edge of Insanity: I Have 2 Schizophrenic Kids" airing in the next week (which is the episode title according to @KeepHopeAlive). Neither does the other program guide (https://www.informnny.com/tv-schedule), or this other program guide (https://www.cbs58.com/programming).

Since the promo said the episode was airing this February, it must be airing the week of the 25th- so we have max two weeks until it's aired. Buckle in, Kiwis.
