I have no idea how high schools work in Japan, but in most High Schools in the U.S school pools aren't ever open to students unless there is a lifeguard (or adult) on duty. Besides, who the fuck would spend free period or lunch SUNBATHING near the school pool? That only happens in anime.

Besides, if I discovered a girl who drowned to death in the pool with a giant fucking weight attached to her hair only an exceptional individual like Alex would think it was an "accident" instead of jumping straight to "murder made to look like an exceptional accident" His excuse that Yan-Chan would remove the weight out of the pool first wouldn't work either, because if it was heavy enough to drown Osana, it's probably impossible to extract out of the pool as well.
Also I can't stop loling. Loosening the diving board so the sporty rival slips and breaks her neck? TOO LOONY TUNES! Tying a girl's ridiculously long pigtails to a convenient weight and pushing her into a pool? Absolutely not lol worthy. Pick one, alex.

Unnecessary update time! But I just got banned from Alex's subreddit for mentioning Watashi no Mono. It's the only thing I've posted/commented on the subreddit for awhile so I know for a fact it's the reason why. I've been banned once, and was actually pretty upset about it; I liked to contribute to discussion and help suggest ideas, especially because I have a background in Forensic Science and Nursing. However, I don't really care too much now. Ever since that happened I've felt very excluded from the community, and didn't want to help someone who tried to ban me - so I guess I'm not missing too much.

It is annoying though. I'm pretty certain the person who made the original post got banned too, and it was obvious it was a kid who'd played Yandere Simulator a lot and wanted more; makes me kinda sad knowing how disappointed they probably are, but this is Alex proving yet again he's his own worst enemy. If you force people to walk on egg shells around you, they'll eventually wonder why they have to.

The bigger question for me though is pretty obvious. I know EpicMealDev and Alex had drama, but I assumed that all cooled down. I guess this is proof that Alex is still upset about being upstaged.

Hmm I've been shadowbanned a while ago, I was certain that they were stalking my "gremlin hateful comment history", but they kept me around because I answer noobs' dumb questions on gameplay and lore (possibly giving dev more time to play games). The post that got me shadowbanned was explaining to a noob that the official launcher is non-functional since 2016 and they should download it on mega

Funny thing is that I've been shadowbanned before there, but when I made a post calling them out, they unblocked my comment to discredit me. Someone confronted me about deliberately starting a shitstorm, citing that the auto censor is common knowledge. It's suspicious because my post wouldn't be censored for 8 hrs and suddenly brought back, the auto censor filters nearly all "toxicity" within 1 hr. I admit that I sound absolutely autistic rambling on, sorry about that

What did you honestly expect to happen? The place is rife with censorship, yet you somehow expected nothing to happen when talking about other games. Rule 2 of the subreddit says "No advertising", yet you decided to talk promote a competitor's game. Common sense would say a ban was bound to happen. What does your ban have to do with YandereDev?

If you actually read the last part, I'm more curious about the relationship between EpicMealDev and Alex; and why he would take such a hard line stance against him. My whole point was that there must be some residual hatred from Alex to EMD, even if both have said the opposite. I probably didn't get that through very well however

Well this guy made in a shorter time, more polished, what alex hasn't done in years. Envy is quick to stir up.

The subreddit rules state that you're not allowed to advertise other games. It would be disingenuous to assume Alex ordered for you to get banned out of envy as it could just be a moderator thinking you're advertising. I'm not even defending Alex, I just don't see how Alex has anything to do with you getting banned.

EMD is cutting into Alex's grubhub chicken nuggets fund. No Epic Meals for this YandereDev

I don't think Alex realizes that the longer he waits to put Osana in the game, the more hype will be built around her, and the bigger the disappointment will be when she's finally implemented.
I think this has partially happened already? Correct me if I’m wrong, but I do believe someone accessed Osana in the past and was able to kill her and get away with it in five minutes.

I can understand this design challenge in the game. All of the pacifist methods are multi step and take days (with the exception of killing a rival after you befriend them, which is the only violent method that takes this long), but every violent method is so quick.

I wonder if he should maybe take some queues from games like “The Escapists,” which have added ways to extend the time and make it harder for you to fuck around (like example, if you don’t follow the schedule like all of your fellow prisoners, your suspicion goes up, and at 100% the guards are actively looking for you). This might be why the only additions he has been adding make the violent methods more difficult.

All the major controversies surrounding the game have came and went. Interest will be very low when the Star Citizens colonize space and the game finally gets released. There will be plenty of new trendy franchises and indie games by then that will swipe the audience entirely.

Enjoying KH3? It's out now.

I'm still waiting for him to troon out, since that one video where he was a little girl being bullied by naked gremlins.
That was more of a sympathy ploy tbh

I don't see Alex ever trooning out. Troons are all fucked in the head in some way. Alex is just your standard loser with ego issues and a sheltered worldview. This is why Alex is one of my favorite lolcows. His lolcow traits stem purely from his behavior, not from his fucked up psych.

New update. To summarise, you can now do basically every murder elimination method on all students, aside from suicide (you can still push students off the roof though).

He's also tried to add a tutorial of some sorts, but he didn't fully explain what it was and I really do not have the effort to download Yandere Simulator just to see what the hell he did

I just checked it out

Basically he added in a shelf full of TV shows in Yandere-chan's room. When you interact with it you get a cut-scene of a knock-off Death Note with some girl writing in her notebook how to kill someone. The one currently in the game is how to electrocute someone, so she writes about finding a wrench, and power cord, etc, etc; and how to set it up to kill someone.

I actually like it more than Info-chan's step-by-step guide of how exactly to do things. It tells you want you need, the basic order of events, and the outcome; but leaves it to the player to actually find everything, and figure out how to direct someone to actually using the water fountain.

The water fountain electrocution method is directly ripped off from Hitman

Conspiracy theory : he hasn't released Osana yet because the build containing her will turn computers into stovetops.

If the game barely runs at 5fps on a buffed computer, I can only imagine the disappointment that his average high-school age fanbase would feel when their Alienware computers crash the game on launch. I'm assuming that Osana's implementation adds content to the game, which may be the straw on the camel's back in terms of unoptimized code.

This is unless I missed an update where he fixed the code to not be spaghetti hell, but knowing Alex, that isn't too likely to have happened.

The art work for the rip off Death Note anime looks really wonky. It's a little difficult to explain but the perspective feels off and at this point it wouldn't be surprising if Mullberry traces a screenshot from the Death Note anime (possibly the episode "Glare")

There's not much to really say about the latest build other than the fact that Alex needs to stop copy/pasting code to give the illusion of making changes. He did this once with the martial arts minigame by copy/pasting the delinquent fight minigame and now he did this with the note feature causing everyone to have kokona's voice.
Other than that the only other thing to mention is how he put in a rain feature (in the form of an easter egg) rather quickly after Jay said he wanted to see that in the game.

the note feature causing everyone to have kokona's voice.

I don't think I mind this, since it's the first time he's given everyone the note feature. Maybe after a few iterations he'll get it right eventually. As long as this thing has been in development, and as much work Alex claims to have done with it, it's still very much an early prototype.

But that makes me wonder whether or not that'll be something he can solve easily, if he's using an audio manager and have everything done neatly, or if he's going to have to iterate it a lot, because he really just copied and pasted it, so it'll be more prone to breaking. Knowing Alex, it's the latter, but having the game look and act like a prototype isn't so bad, at least not this time around.
