Glip needs help, because they are a very sick person. The first step to getting help is admitting you have a problem. If you can't admit you have a problem, there's little hope for you.

"Glip can change!" Yes, Glip CAN change, but that is a decision Glip has to make on their own. But in order to do that, Glip needs to swallow their pride. Can you admit you did shitty things without making it about others, and then try not to do them again? This is called taking responsibility for your actions. This is something that's nearly impossible for a narcissist to do, and why narcissism is nearly impossible to treat.

as for what to apologize for, this thread has quite a laundry list, but here's a start:
-normalizing incest, bestiality, and child abuse through art which was easily accessible to children (has glip ever addressed those drawings with their sister and the one with their cat's character?)
-carelessly or worse purposefully exposing child fans on deviantart to fetish pornography by posting provocative images and all but linking their porn tumblr

do they really understand why this is wrong and why this damages kids? because it's awfully hard to believe they do what with eevee's constant "but [age] is aaaalmost an adult!!!" and "my legacy will be kids finding out they're gay thru forflor" and "killua porn owns!" and other similar sentiments

i dont like talking about it in detail but just to back up everyone else who has already spoken up about this: i saw those images because of their constant peddling of their nsfw tumblr and it really fucked me up as a kid, my idolization of glip turned into looking at really gross art because i thought that's what the right thing was to do or something. egh.

someone started talking about the twitter user and I happened to pop in at the time. Rina saw the name and made connections to a user they were incredibly familiar with and started laughing about the irony of that person saying glip was a pedo for extremely old screenshots that glip had already apologized for, when that user had been into the same material and made a similar apology (hilariously y'all also saw that irony, but for some reason it was completely lost on you). I asked Rina for links to check that it was actually the person (and I assumed they did the same) and I succeeded in tracing the babyfur logs back to the FA account, but didn't actually click the twitter link, I just hovered over it and I thought I saw the person's twitter (guess I'm a little dyslexic or some shit, or maybe just stupid). When the person started saying it wasn't them, I asked rina again to confirm that they were sure that this was indeed the person. Rina said yes and I trusted them (but after talking with them later I found out they never checked themself, that mistake isn't getting repeated so long as I'm watching). After the second time they said it wasn't them, I double checked on my own and found the twitter link didn't actually lead to them and I had fucked up. I didn't know how to apologize at the time, so instead I blocked them until I could think up a way to phrase it (If that was also a mistake I'll apologize for that as well). I talked with rina over the course of several days going over exactly how we had fucked up to make sure that never happened again, and using it as a lesson to teach everyone else in the server. You reminded me about them, and I grabbed rina and wrote up a short apology. I have felt extreme anguish about that incident since it happened, there's literally no undoing the fact it happened so I'm just going to try to not let it happen again.

Maybe it's just me but I have never seen a reason to publicly shame someone over petty drama. Heck I don't even see a reason why to get personally involved with internet drama to begin with.

This isn't a decade ago where most of the people involved were dumb teenagers. We are adults. And you are making an adult decision of not only involving yourself in PK's drama on Twitter, but to make that part of your online identity now.

PK has the mental state of a teenager and cannot see things the way most people see it. Most normal adults forgive and forget, they apologize and move on. PK is bitter, spiteful and will never let anything go.
Why associate with someone like that? It's honestly unhealthy. Heck even at times when PK is going nuts I have to step back from the thread, let it play out, then return and read it because it's simply that fucking autistic.

All I'm saying is, PK has no drive to change. If she did she would be kind and apologize. Being nice to people isn't hard. It's actually very easy to just be kind, even to hateful people. But PK chooses to act out and let her emotions control her instead of being rational.

If you want that teenage drama in your life then more power to you, but I don't think you are going to see a true friendship from PK in her current state. Everything to her is a means to an end, and anything involved with her has strings attached.

Funnily enough, PMD-E for all its flaws was much more cohesive than Flora. Glip works best when their ideas are diluted and run through others first, such as the PMD-E mods, because this helps keep them on track.

Now that Glip is let loose on Flora (Eevee and Opa are essentially in the palm of Glip's hand so they are not really helpful), their complete lack of focus and direction is much more apparent.

They are unable to enjoy themselves and thus follow their impulses because they don't know how to form genuine connections.

Think of Floraverse as directly reflecting Glip's state of mind: there is lots of questionable sex and incomprehensible anger and frustration, but there is ALWAYS something grand happening, and there has never been any point in Floraverse where a character is happy alone and calm.
There is never a pause where a character stops to lay in a field to reflect, or where a character has any sort of down time.

(One could argue the scene where Beleth is watching a horror movie, falls asleep, and dreams about Jupet (?) causing a mass suicide in a school counts as a character self-reflecting alone, but honestly it's not a calm moment so doesn't fit the exact mood I mean)

Floraverse is a whirlwind of screeching and emotion because this is mainly what Glip has known, seeks out, and assumes other people are like as well. Even this current arc and their recent tweets focus intently on being different from others and how boring everything is so they need to chase a high.

Glip, purposefully or not, is showing their true colors.

Not even saying this to purposely spite or demean them, storytelling just isn't their strong suit because they don't practice writing on a technically level (look at the very childish poems with very samey cadence) par with their art (or rather, what they are capable of doing with their art) and they very easily lose interest in current arcs in favor of things that are cooler in the moment. Glip's an illustrator, not a comic writer, and as a person they have a lack of focus in general.

I mean, think about how different Flora would be if they had a TEAM of writers who work together, two or three people who's expertise is literature alongside Glip just kinda ironing out the big picture and planning out the pacing, and they were obligated to keep to one linear storyline planned in advance with no hopping around. Having other people look over the dialogue could also do wonders for the character interactions or the flow of their personality, which could in turn lead to more expressive work with less stupid D : < faces. Stuff like that. If they felt safe in putting more people equal to themselves in the planning stages and was really willing to take sincere critique from them as peers, it'd do wonders.

And I don't mean Eevee or Opa looking over stuff-- whatever they offer to the process obviously doesn't tackle some of the more core problems with the comic like the text layouts being weird or there being pages upon pages of repetitive dialogue that adds nothing, with visuals that add nothing. If they offer Glip advice, it's nothing that changes things substantially.

What's sad is once upon a time PK could draw a range of things. Art can very much be a mirror to the artists state. Even in the middle of the horrible situation back home - PK was drawing fairly normal things, maybe because she couldn't openly draw sexual things too often - but still a mix of things that didn't just focus on physical relations.

Even during PMD-E and early Floraverse days she could draw more than just sex and diary comics. Seeds is far from perfect (Min is annoying and the story derails pretty much as soon as the first chapter ends) but it was an effort. Then slowly it became more and more of a self-indulgence exercise. It's really obvious if you look over Floras history that Glip had no overarching plan, or if there was one, it was cast aside for whichever character suited her fancy at the time. Then her focus shifted from telling a proper story to just drawing her characters screwing all the time. The only real exception to this is the two Neon stories that ran pre-BigFluff where there was again some narrative effort, but again it wandered around a lot and was unsure how to portray Neon's character when she had already somewhat established a world where the need to change gender probably wouldn't cause anyone to bat an eyelid.

Since returning all she can really draw right now is abstract rants, comics about yelling at her friends or porn. The actual Flora story is pretty much out the window at this point, but it probably doesn't help that Marl was apparently writing the main Flora stories - so to be fair, I can sort of understand how she may not ever want to go back to that at this point. It's a constant reminder of the past.

The other thing is most art PK makes for people close to her generally has to be sexy, snarky or a mix of the two. There's no affection, or at least something that isn't showing love and care in a way that's non-sexual. It probably doesn't help that she's been living with 2 guys who seem to have the same issue. The thread's had stories about how Eevee as a young lad was seeking out sex from pedo furries like Kupok, and Marl clearly struggled to show much emotion on anything if it wasn't about boning dogs.

There is a part of me that feels pity for her because she had a shitty start, ran away from shitty home to the first guy able to get her away from trouble, when she didn't really love him that much. But she chose to take the easy way out from her home situation, and then wanted to have her cake and eat it by having both the dependable adult husband that could give her education and a home, and the partner she actually enjoys spending time with (but couldn't provide for her artist lifestyle till much later) . But at the same time she *and* Eevee have warped ideals on what kids should be experiencing as a result and they do nothing to curb or get help for these tendencies or desire to do to others what adults did to them.

Jesus, did this whole thing take off! I read this thread on occasion, being the former fan of PK as the many here, and with how relatively mild it was going, I certainly wasn't expecting to find over 30 new pages of stuff to read through.

I don't really have anything to add to the stuff that has been said here, honestly, I didn't even think of making any posts in this thread, but I suppose I do want to say that it is just really great to have this place. In a very weird way, this thread actually does remind me of something that PMD-E was for many people - a community filled with people of great variety, with their own feelings and perspective on things, yet united by everyone having a certain level of passion about an artist who keeps the community together by actively doing the work to keep it running. Except now those people grew up, the nature of the passion is a lot different from what it was, and the community is kept running together not because of the artist's efforts to provide for it, but in spite of them trying to generalise it and dismiss as a whole. It's kind of a weird thing that such awful and egoistical act from them is what lead to this thread being such a great thing to browse, constantly providing stuff to relate to and resonate with in the form of well thought-out posts and analysis for the people who may potentially be very confused and in need of some basis and indisputable facts to stand on (like all the archives). Just like I was when I first found out about the whole situation, initially siding with PK thinking that the trolls are trying to attack another great person who isn't afraid to speak about problematic topics, not really having (or willing to have) a clue about what's it like being in the other boat and what arguments really are made against the person.

Gotta say tho - I really like how the new page looks. After all this doodling around on Twitter and making cryptic vids that are, honestly, really difficult to watch without constantly pausing the vid and trying to figure out who says what and to whom (obviously completely ruining the intended flow with the whole creepy music vibe and making it a chore to get through), this page feels like a breath of fresh air. I like the way the eye is guided through the page (althrough, I didn't notice at first that there was a second part on the right), the straight lines working in a very sharp pay, and that perspective shot of the Doc showing that his head is quite curvy also looks really great to me. These pages with Papaya and Quill made me seriously doubt PK has still got it with art, but I can't not think that, whatever sense or nonsense is being told through it, as an artwork, this page feels nice to me. Althrough, it may just be that it doesn't have any washed-out colors in it...

I like the way the eye is guided through the page (althrough, I didn't notice at first that there was a second part on the right), the straight lines working in a very sharp pay, and that perspective shot of the Doc showing that his head is quite curvy also looks really great to me. These pages with Papaya and Quill made me seriously doubt PK has still got it with art, but I can't not think that, whatever sense or nonsense is being told through it, as an artwork, this page feels nice to me. The linework is sharp, the contrast is high, and it's a very appropriate style for a breakdown, as there's something very off-kilter feeling about it. It's not the muddy monochrome magenta blobs from the main comic or the incomprehensible pen scribbles from ForFlor. The character designs are still overdone and atrocious and the actual dialogue is a bunch of gibberish, but something about the style itself is appealing to me.

It feels as though Glip took offense that everyone was complimenting Pengo's comics, specifically the paneling and look of Murder Misery, and now is imitating that. I don't want to give them any credit until they actually get better without using spite as fuel and without stealing from other artists.
