glip seems to be wanting to make amends with people
There's always an angle with PK. If you've been under the magnifying glass for this long and haven't yet figured it out, you either don't want to change or are incapable of it.

I'm not even really sure why people want her to improve so badly. She was a decent fan artist who got attention for decent fanart. Nothing that special. PK somehow not being a cow anymore doesn't mean Floraverse will stop being a pretentious clusterfuck or that she'll magically learn to write or that kids will get unstalked.

The world doesn't gain anything from PK improving. I'd rather keep watching the shitshow myself.

glip seems to be wanting to make amends with people, but if that's their game here this is probably the literal worst way to do it. pengo doesn't want to be associated with them and dragging him back into it publicly seems either poorly thought out, or just plain cruel.

I am really curious of their motives. They wanted to settle things with Mike and actively sought him out, but then for Pengo, as far as we know they just sent him $100 for his music and made a character called Dr.Callout that took elements from his sona.

Even if it was meant to be a positive stunt (somehow?), the fact it is so public compared to Mike really brings the whole situation into question. I believe Glip and Pengo first "settled" things over the Tvface blog over private messages... What changed that they now feel the need to do things so visibly?

If it is meant to be some kind of olive branch, it's the most menacingly obtuse one I've ever seen.

Think of Floraverse as directly reflecting Glip's state of mind: there is lots of questionable sex and incomprehensible anger and frustration, but there is ALWAYS something grand happening, and there has never been any point in Floraverse where a character is happy alone and calm.
There is never a pause where a character stops to lay in a field to reflect, or where a character has any sort of down time.
Remember when Neon was sitting in that car for like a month?

This whole "people can change" thing is a stance that has merit. But you don't usually award people before they decide to change, do you? Glip hasn't changed. Could they? Sure. I agree that anyone can change. But you have to actually fucking do it. And we've got nearly a decade of recollection and evidence that Glip is the same person they've been for a very long time.

So the argument that Glip doesn't deserve the attitude many people have against them, because "they have the ability to change" doesn't mean much. You have to actually change. I don't know about you but I don't try to bribe people into doing good things or being a better person, I reward them for actually consciously doing it.

I've been away from the thread for a while, is PK's self insert still Neon or did she invent another character she likes better and then made the focus on a new self insert
She now turned to her original self insert 'Papaya' which is just yellow Alice.
Also, the Hothead thing that's supposed to represent her neuroses, and Dr. Toxinuate, who represents her hatred towards Pengo and callout culture. Or something like that.

If you've been away from the thread since Neon, you might have missed that she divorced Marl and had a complete mental breakdown that's significantly affected the comic. It's not even pretending to have a story anymore, it's just PK screaming "WHY DON'T YOU LIKE ME" over and over again.

very perceptive and true

glip might feel like theyre changing and say they are, but it's really not up to the person who has hurt others to say they've changed
you've changed once people around you (both people who are your friends and people who arent) can see and acknowledge that change

and given how hard they try to discredit victims, that hasn't happened yet

the topic of change has me especially curious because glip has still avoided admitting any wrongdoing. what are we supposed to see that they've changed from? any "apologies" are years-old and have involved deflecting the blame and/or guilt-tripping people who are upset with them. if they've "apologized" before and shouldn't have to give a new one, why is this talk of change so new? it's like glip is on the cusp of accepting that their apologies have been inadequate and they still have things they've done wrong that they've yet to even attempt to apologize for, but they're not quite there yet

[or, probably more accurately, glip is hoping that insisting they've changed will be an apology itself. not a sincere one ofc, but one good enough to satisfy the parts of their fanbase they've lost. the only thing they're really sorry for here is losing those sweet patreon bux]

Glip's idea of change is just shouting "I told you already I'm a good person now" in increasingly loud volumes
A conversation with every narcissist ever:
"I'm sorry about everything that happened, I've changed! I'm a good person now! Please come back!"
"Okay, so what about X? Are you sorry for that?"
"No, that wasn't my fault."
"Then what about Y?"
"No, you were being unreasonable."
"Z?"
"No."
"Then what have you changed?"
"I'VE CHANGED"

What I really want to see is an example of what it looks like when she "apologizes" in private, if it even happens at all. I'm assuming there's a reason she's so desperate to get people to come to her privately instead of addressing everything in the open. Do any former fans who have personally interacted with her have any experience with that?

Yes. I won't give many details to avoid me or my source being identified, but Glip does sound more convincing in a one-on-one conversation. For one thing, Eevee and their other friends are not there to hype up Glip's negative responses. I also believe when Glip does not feel like their actions are public, they drop the need to look strong, as in, they drop the need to seem "confident" in the eyes of bystanders (even though it comes off as stubborn and narcissistic).

The problem with this is Glip swings on how they see people depending on if they are upset with them or not. They may apologize intimately for an action, stating their action was one that was negative or uncalled for... But then no longer regret it when something new appears and they have Eevee or others to fuel the flames.

They are very impulsive emotionally, and keeping apologies private helps to hide anything negative that Glip may admit to. To apologize more publicly and in-depth would mean that strangers and enemies would see (what I assume Glip percieves as) weakness. In my opinion, Glip prefers to look like an asshole than to look weak.

I may ask the person I know if it is alright to post what I have seen of Glip apologizing, but I'm not expecting them to say yes.

Okay, I came here because I was a former fan of Glip. I knew that there was drama that had damning evidence, but so far I only caught wind of some blogs. Then I found this and holy shit is this a mess. So I basically came to give my weak opinion after lurking:

For the topic of change, yeah. People can change. But that's when they put the effort into changing. What has Glip done to change? As far as the archives, screen caps, and her current tweets, literally nothing. If anything, she has changed, but for the worst. At this point, she's just screeching at the top of her lungs "g UYS i'Ve c h A n g E d".

Tbh at this point I think it's the beginning of the end for her. I'm not quite sure how it'll end, but I think she deserves whatever comes to her. Once the bubble pops (because denying that it will is pretty much impossible at this point) it's gonna blow up in her face.

anything else to talk about except whats like.. 5+ ? pages of sperging about the concept of changing as a person and how glip isn't doing jack shit to work on that?
We're all kinda waiting to see if Good Intentions will be back to answer the rebuttals folks provided. With nothing being posted on Twitter or the sites, this is all we've got for now.
(BTW I loved reading all the "here's what Glip needs to do/apologize for" posts, there was a lot of well thought out stuff in there.)

Yeah, sure you do. Yet you haven't posted the link to this second fanfic. If anything we have actual archives on your constantly lying and brown nosing.
