Yo Mrhuthstuff or whatever his name is just had a clip from today with Dark talking about going on a podcast in like a month.....

who in their right minds seriously would want this toxic guy on their show....it just boggles the mind

I love how he immediately reveals he's only doing this for publicity to raise funds for his taxes.

Goddamn, the desperation is real.

-edit- And I only know of the Drunken Peasants by having seen the name pop up here and there, but reading what they're all about really makes me wonder what their intentions are:
The average episode of the podcast is divided into segments depending on what media are available to be commented on. Segments included Troll or Not a Troll, in which the hosts determine whether or not a content creator is an internet troll; Crazy People, in which videos of content creators, both big and small, deemed by the hosts as crazy were viewed and critiqued (notable content creators included in this segment are Anita Sarkeesian, Alex Jones, Tommy Sotomayor, Pat Robertson, Jim Bakker, and Pastor Steven Anderson); Cutting the Fat, in which old, usually poorly-made videos of the hosts were viewed and mocked; and The Individual Brett Keane Segment Situation, in which videos or articles written by the hosts' arch-nemesis, Brett Keane (a born again Christian YouTuber based in Festus, Missouri who was TJ Kirk's inspiration for joining YouTube), were mocked and, in cases of his guest appearances, challenged and debated.
Judging by how they apparently mock lolcow-like people, these guys sure sound like they would know about DSP and his ehm... legacy on the internet, won't be easily swayed by his bullshit or at least will have some kind of criticism.

Anyone here who actually follows/knows these doods that can shed some light onto the possible outcome of this, and how they'll most likely approach doing a podcast with DSP?

"Drunken Peasants" invited Phil to do something in early January. Maybe it's that?

FYI
Don't expect anything. If they don't pay him, Phil will say no. And he will say no regardless because he is a pussy and can't comprehend exposure. Especially not from the sphere of Drunken Peasants who are basically detractors. Also Phil would have to leave the house and get in contact with strangers, it sounds like.
I suggest open a new thread when something actually happens or get announced.

Yeah I took a very brief look at those drunk guys channel and the last like 4 videos were all political drama, which makes me even more confused why they care about dark.

And yeah I know those tweets were from early last month but this is the first I’m hearing about dave talking about in on stream and from the clip he sounded like it was basically a done deal as to actually happening.

It’s just so weird to me, wings and LTG I could understand, it’s essentially just money hungry lolcows attempting to mingle, but anyone who dark decides is relevant enough to make an appearance for is already going to have a bigger following....so wtf do they have to gain by talking to this middle age man who played fighting games before it was an Esport....it’s just weird why anyone would reach out to him.

But hey if you really want Tom Burnell on your podcast so your audience can hear about how he got laid off from a job 10 years ago all the power to ya

Really hoping they'll use some info from here and elsewhere to start questioning him in realtime about all his lies. He's able to make it work by memory-holing inconveniencies, but it's hard to do that when they'll all displayed for the world to see as you're trying to deny they exist. Start with the "click on ads" video, follow up with any of the numerous "thanks for the donations" videos from back in the day, and then move forward to asking how Phil has been "in dire financial straits" for like 4 years now.

Is DSP claiming that he has to pay Jan-Dec 2019 taxes this April, or am I reading that last sentence wrong? Is he complaining that he has to pay 2019 taxes next April? Is that news to him?

Also, DSP knows that the IRS just wants their money, so instead of putting him on a payment plan that he can afford, they are going to "cripple his business" making it impossible for him to pay?

Also, what does "cripple his business" even mean in this context? He has no business expenses outside of the cost of games, electricity, and internet. Isn't the absolute doom scenario for him (short of being banned from Twitch and Youtube) that even if the IRS takes both his houses that he just moves into his parents' house and plays older games from there and/or rent games? What does "cripple his business" even mean in this context?

Yeah, he's complaining that he'll have to make (in theory) his first 2019 quarterly payment around April 15th as well.

I think he legitimately considers a monthly payment plan too much for him to handle with his other CC debt. That makes no sense to me either unless he thinks the IRS won't accept a sufficiently small monthly payment, which is certainly possible given that he's reporting 6 figure income.

"Cripple my business" means Phil won't get to keep living the lifestyle he's decided he deserves. Worst case scenario is that he has to sell the Wakhando to take care of his most important debts, starting with the IRS, and then move back into the CT condo. Somehow "soulmate" won't want to live with him anymore, despite the fact that her pretty obvious retail job means she could pick up and move with him easily. There's also the fact that the Wakhando could feasibly sell for a good enough price that Phil could look to purchase a reasonably sized house in WA or CT and settle into a more manageable lifesty-----hahahahahaha, who am I kidding. He's going to run himself into the ground and be forced to sell the Wakhando by court order.

Separate thought, separate post:

Phil is lying about having no idea what his federal tax liability will be. He had to pay his state B&O tax for 2018 on January 31st (see here for annual returns). B&O tax is calculated based on gross income. So to have paid that, he has to have known what his total income was for 2018. We can reasonably assume, given that the "penalties and interest" on federal tax late payment he bitches about came out to a few hundreds of dollars when I did a ballpark estimate, that the difference between gross and taxable income will more than offset that small amount.

So he has, at worst, a reasonable estimate, and at best a very accurate estimate, of what he owes to the feds.

I'm wondering how much more pathetic soy boy can get...

- openly begging for $ to pay alleged taxes / save his house on stream AND Twitter = Tick

- doing reaction videos of his own old content, despite repeatedly stating that reactionary videos were terrible = tick

- using his 'soul mate' on stream to try to generate $ = tick

- trying to use his alleged 'sick' parents to generate pity $, including trying to force tears = tick

- openly admitting to selling 2nd hand DVDs/Blu rays to earn $ = tick

I mean - how much less self respect can he display to try to generate money? Selling 1 on 1 Skype calls with ppl who pay? Selling photos of himself / the soul maid?

Sooner or later he may offer three throws for $5 to see if you can hit the target to see him fall from the dunk tank at the online carnival (from his IRL stream from his garage)

All I know is whenever you think he's hit bottom he somehow goes even lower. He still hasn't cried yet. That pathetic attempt from Thanksgiving doesn't count.

Holy shit, did he not get at least like an additional 10k this month from all those subs? But he is claiming "I dont have any extra money."

I'm not sure how taxes work in the US but I assume you could make a part payment and then pay the rest off monthly? But classic Phil, rather than make the debt more managable in the future, he will no doubt blow through the 10k and just pay the full amount off monthly. And to top it all off he will still have the balls to bitch about Basic Bill.

He has LITERALLY ZERO business expenses outside of buying games. His business class internet is a luxury and electricity is something that everyone has and has to pay for, regardless of being a streamer or not. He has ABSOLUTELY no excuses for this. It's not like he invests back into his business, right?

Granted I've never had tax issues, so I'm pulling this out of my ass, but I can nearly guarantee you that if DSP owed $16K in taxes and paid the IRS $12K that the IRS would put him on a plan for the other $4K. They aren't going to force him to sell his houses as much as he's trying to convince his fans.

You could even argue that games aren't even an expense at this point. Plenty of streamers (technically speedrunners) play the same games over and over again for years. DSP doesn't even have to do that since he's bought 10 years worth of games. He should play Splatoon and Nioh again this month if he wanted to. Hell, the King of Retro could play Sonic 2 and Sonic and Knuckles if he wanted. Play Pacman. Play anything.

I love how DSP on prestream yesterday claimed that people turned into his stream because "they'll never know what he might be playing" when he posts his schedule a week in advance.

and he doesnt even buy the games half the time, usually gifted. phil would call buying a sandwich during his "work" hours a business expense

Here is info on setting up a payment plan with the IRS

Figured it would help with the current discussion.

Remember how I said that you don't need to troll DSP because if you ask him legit questions or provide legit help that he would sperge out on his own?

I guarantee you that if someone sent him that link in the prestream tomorrow that he would either say that it's a detractor meme or that it doesn't apply to him because he's special.
